I play many songs on bookings- many are Academy Award winning songs. This song would never be added to my repertoire and my repertoire is extremely varied and inclusive.
As varied as your list may be, what’s on that list is still a matter of personal choice, correct? You’re claiming some objective high bar or something?
I believe it's Patrick Warren on keyboards, Michael Lockwood on lead guitar, and John Sands on drums. They were all in her touring band around this era.
The greatest song ever not awarded with an Oscar.
Shame on you Academy!
Thanks forever Aimee! ❤️
And Elliott Smith's "Miss Misery"
Still can't believe this masterpiece lost to "Tarzan".
And "Unclefucker" wasn't even nominated.
Well Blame Canada
Yep. Pretty ridiculous.
To be fair, Tarzan's soundtrack was awesome too.
You'll be in my Heart is a masterpiece
One of my fave Oscars performances ever! Great song!
Wise up should have also been nominated for best song. Both fantastic.
Aimee Mann killed it
SHE ALWAYS DOES!!! M.O'B
makes me just about cry every time
This performance was at the 72nd Oscars on March 26, 2000, not in 1999.
She got ripped off on an Oscar for best song.

Aimee is the bomb.
This and Elliott Smith's "Miss Misery" are two of the greatest songs nominated yet lost!
Anyone know the members of the backing band? I know it’s Paul Bryan on bass and Buddy Judge on guitar. The others I don’t know
