As someone who is still somewhat new to the game, thank you so much for these vids. The Yavaris with the B-wings tactic I will definitely be trying out my next game night!
I'll have to give Dodonna a whirl. I was thinking of running a couple Nebulons with a blocking ship on each side to give them obstruction on side defense. Thank you for the breakdown.
I always liked running Yavaris with Adar Tallon, though that was before flight coordinator and such. It was nearly a triple tap if you set it up correctly. But now-adays you can probably put Adar on another ship and still get the full benefit of him. REALLY looking forward to more of these videos! FF Games should really link to you from their website.
I mostly agree with you on titles Personally I think the Redemption only works well if it's swarmed with other cheap Rebel ships around it, or the game has 6+ ships because of high point values. As for commanders... Ackbar: Agreed, but you could also keep the ship at as long a range as possible and have better side attacks. This is entirely circumstantial, so I also don't think he applies well to it most of the time. BUT SOMETIMES those attacks can be worthwhile to be boosted, it's just not optimal to do so if you ask me. Cracken: Ramming speed. Shoot 'em and ram 'em after your opponent has attacked and moved or when you can strike a critical blow. I actually really like Garm Bel Iblis, and his power is pretty good for command 2 ships. Rieken: I find him highly situational, but a high activation list sounds great. Mon Mothma: She's great in speedy Rebel combination lists, so as long as you still have your Evade tokens she's totally worth it. Madine: I've yet to use Crix, but I -really- like the potential for abusing the arcs with Neb. Bs. Sato: He looks REALLY good! Nebs with basically any cannon upgrade could work effectively with him and I think having numerous ships with Intelligence Officer would make an opposing list tremble. Dodonna: I think you're the first person I know to really praise Dodonna so highly, but you make a compelling argument.
Great videos! This and both of your guides to buying on budget came just in the right time, as my local community just gained a few new player and I'm using your content to help them understand the game better and plan their purchases :) When can we expect one on CR90?
Another awesome vid brother, like running either empire or rebellion and always want some fresh tactics to use for the nebulons. Basically a sniper ship!
I'm struggling with using Nebulon-Bs. The problem is that I currently have only Liberty, Nebulon-B, Rebel Fighters 1, and the Core Set. It's hard to make a workable list from this.
No problem. Yeah a heavy squadron build would be a pretty solid counter, those nebs can't survive a bunch of bombers flying into their flanks and plus Rieekan got nerfed recently.
I'm surprised XX-9 turbo lasers didn't come up when you were talking about the salvation. But definitely another amazing and informative video. Do you think you will be doing something similar with squadrons?
I may eventually but it will probably be in a different format, primarily because Squadrons don't have upgrades, so there is less variety in how to use, say, a B-Wing squadron.
The redemption was the ship where Luke got his robot hand. And the salvation was the ship that starkiller and kota rammed through the kamino planetary shield
I know what I'm about to say is not on the topic of the vid, but, whatever. For the ISD, when you get to it: Captain Jonus with an ISD, Quad Turbo (iirc, 10 point, add a red accuracy if you have a red accuracy), Intel Officer, Gunnery Team. Sniper ISD with Vader. Was doing random roll tests and consistently could land 7-9 damage with 3 accuracy at medium range; biggest random was a 12 with concentrate fire command.
Why would you put Intel Officer with Quad Turbolasers and Sensor Team? If you get all that accuracy you don't need Intel Officer, and if you use Intel Officer you don't want the accuracy. Seems like there are much better officer choices for an ISD that has heavy accuracy.
Long range fire on a primary or secondary target in the run-up to medium range. Captain Jonus can only be in one place at once, after all, and he usually gets effective on turn 3 once you shoot him through the furball. Additionally it can be used to strip off Evade tokens from TRC ships. Additionally, additionally, back-up ECM nerf. It's gunnery team, by the way. Not sensor team. I considered sensor team, but it removes a die from the pool.
Are you talking about the one at Celebration? If so no, that is a unique custom surface that FFG uses for conventions. There is a Death Star playmat that has a picture of the Death Star on it, but I don't think that's what you mean.
ok this is maby a little late to ask question on this video, but when you talking about commander sato, you say he allows you to shoot at long range with black dice ? I am confused, it just says you can change the color of the dice in your attack pool, it does not say you can shoot with black at long range ? rule book says you cannot ever shoot with black at long range, I see this commander more of a utility like when your nebulon has to shoot at close range you can change 2 of your red dice to black, or if you got mc30 at long range you can change 2 of the black dice to red, am I confused in my understanding, or is there a rule somewhere that says sato can magicly brake the basic rules in the rule book ?
@@Crabbok yes it allows you to change the color of your dice in your dice pool before rolling the attack, and on page 13 of the rule book under targeting it clearly states you can only roll dice acording to range, so if you change your dice color before rolling the dice, it does not change what dice you allowed to roll ? I'm really confused now, and thank you very much for your answer :)
@@nixxinn Every card in the game, changes or breaks a rule. Sato breaks the color rule. That's the point of upgrade cards, commanders, and everything that you use to customize your fleet.
@@Crabbok ok :) I guess we have to disagree on this one, but thats fine, maby we can get it answered in next faq, I even think the way I see it its more powerfull, dicepool = as whats printed on card, so you can use your blue dice as reds at long range, maby getting 5+ reds for long range attacks, or with MC80 ships to change some of your reds to blues at med range if you running blue critical, I just cant see where on the actual sato text it says that you can brake the range rule :) but despite our little disagreement, I want to thank you for your vids, like em alot, and was very nice of you to answer
Dice Pool does not equal what's printed on the card. Battery Armament is what's printed on the card. You Look at your Battery Armament, determine range, and then you gather your dice pool. IE I have 3 red and 1 blue in my side arc, and you are at long range - so I look at battery armament, and cannot gather the blue into my dice pool - so instead I just gather 3 red. Now Sato kicks in, allows me to change TWO of the dice in my dice pool to any other color, before I roll them.
Just learn basic of how game is? Okay thank you video. YOU TUBE news on things of it of ARMADA. Of Star Wars game data info.FromMichael Bowers, Jr.okay

Another great, informative video. I now know how to crush this Frigate with my mighty Imperial Fist.
I think the neb is in an interesting spot in the game, it can do a few tasks well but it’s a little expensive when you compare it to other ships

I'm really enjoying these vids. Very imformative and well delivered. Keep them coming!!!!!
If the neb2 has Enhanced armourments then Akbar does kick them up to five side dice, but broadside nebs will be taking damage so keep redemption handy
I have seen the Nebulon swarm in action back in wave 1.
I imagine those Victory SDs still suffer PTSD from the massacre that followed.

Another awesome vid brother, like running either empire or rebellion and always want some fresh tactics to use for the nebulons. Basically a sniper ship!
What do you think about the vanguard title? It gives you a redirect and you get a slot to get gunner teams.
I'm struggling with using Nebulon-Bs.
The problem is that I currently have only Liberty, Nebulon-B, Rebel Fighters 1, and the Core Set. It's hard to make a workable list from this.
Man you are right Dodonna rocks it! I always have him and a CR90 with Dodonna's Pride in my fleet. He so cheap and works with everything.
Does the changes to the Yavaris make it better or worse?
I had a list of four of these wiped out imps everytime but that was when armada just started
Swarm Nebulons with Rieekan and TRC is terrifying. I fought it once and it melted an ISD in two turns, even with Motti as my admiral...
It was 6 I believe. One was Salvation, one had Rieekan and I can't remember what else they had beside TRC's.
No problem. Yeah a heavy squadron build would be a pretty solid counter, those nebs can't survive a bunch of bombers flying into their flanks and plus Rieekan got nerfed recently.

i like this ship. The Escort Frigate is what gets more play from me, i kind of use this ship like a large CR90 Corvette.
The redemption was the ship where Luke got his robot hand. And the salvation was the ship that starkiller and kota rammed through the kamino planetary shield

will we be able to get the death star play mat you introduced last weekend.
