Beyond brilliance. That clarinet from 2:20 until 4:20 is outstanding and at 4:17 you can see the director of the orchestra smiling to the clarinetist saying "Sir that was absolutely brilliant!!!!"

This is so beautiful!! I never undesrtood why this movie and the soundtrack were not so famous. There are people that never even heard about this movie. Yet it is not an empty action movie that make headlines worldwide. The whole story behind "The Mission" is so true and deep. Focusing in this type of beauty makes the world a better place, instead of just emphasizing the ugly, gory and bad. It seems that there are a culture of the ugly out there, but this movie/music is a proclamation of good.

I cant agree - it is more Hollwood with M. conducting, tempi faster. This version here goes deeper into space!
