Since he’s actually singing in his natural chest voice, Wouldn’t he classify more as a true (and very rare) Basso Profondo? The original voice actor who sang this, Thurl Ravenscroft was.
Voice classification is not that simple. Geoff talks at a standard baritone pitch, as far as I've seen/heard. Basso profundi singers sound very strange when they speak. Look up Glenn Miller for example, or Casey Moo.
He can do a pretty dead on (ha!) impression of Thurl Ravenscroft on this song though. Most covers I've heard of it don't have a strong enough bass singer to pull it off. (Even the Dapper Dans usually fall a bit short.)

I love the subtle changes in head movement to make it seem much less 'human-like' and more rickety and 'statue-like'. That for me was what sealed this as one of my favourite music videos

The singing busts have always been my favorite part of the Haunted Mansion. One time our "doom buggies" broke down right in front of them, so I had a nice long concert. This version is fantastic, from the singing, the arrangement, the acting and make-up, to the video editing.

I grew up about 3 miles from Disneyland, so this song was familiar to me from a very early age. This was the first a cappella song I remember hearing, and I used to go on the Haunted Mansion ride extra times just to hear it. Thank you so very much for happy memories from half a century ago. Both my brother and sister worked at Disneyland, and both met their future spouses there. I was the rebel who worked at Knott's. I said if I worked at Disney, the ONLY thing I'd want to do is the Haunted Mansion. My brother told me it doesn't work that way, you might be rotated to other rides. Forget that! Knott's was fun, more laid back, plus I could get Mrs. Knott's Chicken on Fridays. Yum!
I must confess that passing by the "Grim Grinning Ghosts" in the Haunted Mansion, next to the Medium in the Seance room are my favorite scenes that I enjoy seeing ride after ride. I really "Dig" the way these vocal performers made their own voice-sound effects too.

wow the combo of the makeup and prosthetics and whatever effects are on their faces during movement and blinking was extra creepy, love it! Also, I could listen to every halloween song ever sung by these guys!
I grew up in So. Cal. in the 1960's and the BEST, ABSOLUTE BEST ride at Disneyland was AND STILL IS the Haunted Mansion... It's been copied MANY times but, NEVER BESTED. Then, and now, it STILL IS the KING of Spooky Houses. This was one of the last attractions that Walt had any DIRECT control over and it shows. There have been MANY attractions over the years from Disney, but like so MANY, they have fallen by the wayside... BUT STILL TO THIS DAY, the Haunted Mansion from ALL the different theme parks around the world it has had MORE visitors arguably to this one attraction than any other. And the Singing Busts are one of the MANY reasons just why this place is so popular. Thanks for this, I totally enjoyed it!!!

That bass singer does an excellent job imitating the late Thurl Ravenscroft, who originally sang it for the Haunted Mansion ride; Ravenscroft also did the narrative on Jungle Cruise, the talking tree Tangaroa outside the Tiki Room, sang "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" in the animated special, and was the ORIGINAL Tony The Tiger! Inasmuch as I also do voices, it is my sincere hope that I may do similar work
