I now wished Cooler appeared more so we can get more interactions between Abridged Freiza and Cooler.
Cooler shows up for a second in friezas scene in fusion reborn so there's that. Hopefully, they'll take full advantage of all the Frieza and Cell moments coming up.

Well as vegeta said that all the movies are “so not canon it hurts”
but this was referring to a link between two tfs abridge movies, so it makes them both tie together
the movies have kind of their own weird cannon in tfs, for instance, the pre-fight stuff is lead ups to the wedding, like arguments in the cooler movie, or the registry gift buying in the android 13 one

Okay, so who remembers that in the abridged tree of might movie, when "Santa" speaks to goku, he says that he stopped going to planet vegeta because he was always being shot at? I like that they continued upon that.
I love how they made the villains in this special into Santa. They took villains who had little to no personality and made them great
none of the dbz movie villains have a personality. the fan favorite says one word over and over.
ubadman1 fan favorite pretty much is now Goku Black and he has the most personality of them all
ubadman1 Yeah I never got the hype behind Broly. The only things I liked about him were his design and his voice(when he wasn't just shouting "KAKAROT" over and over anyway). And even then his voice actor Vic Mignogna has said he didn't like voicing Broly since 90% of his dialogue was just him screaming and laughing maniacally

God, I love how they actually came up with a good reason to have those specific villains come back by having them all be connected to Christmas (Cooler more so indirectly through Frieza and his whole Frieza Day thing but still). I wonder if they were thinking of this when they decided to tie in Slug to Christmas too or if it was just an amazing coincidence that they rolled with.

It first was on the Famicom (Japanese NES), then was made into a game for the Playdia (a console with video clips that let you chose the path the story went) then it was remade again for Raging Blast 2
It was actually a Japanese only 30 minute movie but a lot of people dont know that because theres no english dubbed just Japanese sub but they used it in Raging Blast 2 so that how a lot of people found out about this character
Its funny how they always comment on how the production and the voices improve over time for team four star, but watching this series from the beginning you can see blind wave's production and audio quality improve over time as well.

Not sure if you guys know this, or if it was mentioned before, but... Fun Fact: It's BECAUSE MasakoX, the voice of Goku and Gohan, is British that Goku always calls Freeza "Freezer." Due to his British accent, whenever MasakoX said "Freeza" it would sound like "Freezer," so TFS decided to make it canon for Goku to always call him "Freezer."

They havn't had an issue with Toei for this last part of the cell saga, they had personal issues that has been delaying it. It's the reason why they never talked about what was going on.

He finally figured that the earth and thus the universe is better off destroyed, back then he had more hope for everyone in the universe, he is evil now he doesn’t.
I like how you can pinpoint the exact moment when this movie happen by looking at Trunks hair and clothes. This is logically right after Dende is named the new Kami and restore the dragonball. Trunks had cut his hair. everyone is as strong as it was in the Cell game.

In the battle of gods they reference vegeta's brother and I think that makes him connon. I'm hoping that vegeta's brother in the abrigid is a warlord known for destroying worlds and is the edgiest character in the show.

The animation does look cleaner, but it also looks really flat and detail-less. There are so many fewer lines and definitions on characters now, it kinda just feels less intense..
Well before they remastered it for Raging Blast 2 there was an original movie with the old DBZ style. You should check it out

Super's animation is inferior to the original DBZ series, though. This new animation makes characters look like plastic and it is less detailed in the way their bodies are drawn. The old animation was much more preferable. And I was recently told it is mainly the same animation team, from the old days, but they have less budget. It is ridiculous that after 20-30 years, instead the animation getting better, easier, faster and cheaper, it just gets easier, faster and cheaper, but not better.
Hah! The old DBZ series was quantity AND quality. :)

the soundtrack in this abridged movie was on point
Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon is purple with a yellow spiral, Vegeta's Final Flash is yellow mixed with white, Gohan's Masenko is yellow and Trunk's Burning Attack is yellowy orange the only attack that was the right colour fully was Goku's Kamehameha

Wish I didn't say this so last so I could say the game was Raging Blast 2, A.k.a my favorite Dragon Ball game (Actually behind Legacy of Goku)
The placement of the movie is fun because they have Future Trunks and in the OG movie Goku asks to himself if this might be stronger than Broly, so they have already met Broly...(also I now realized that Paragus made New Planet Vegeta, so the Tuffle doctor might not have come stright to earth otherwise).

Actually the HD OVA was just from the game, the much longer original version wasn't. The original version was made in 1993, released on Home Video in Japan.
There were 17 Christmas puns and over 50 jokes/references, I do not know the final tally because I got distracted.

I'm rewatching, and I don't know if anyone has said, but the game it's in is Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2. A very good game actually, I love it to this day.
