I've always enjoyed their cases. They give the best view of the screen. Almost feels like no case. I believe they're worth the price, but they don't protect amazingly well. They have definitely saved my phone from many drops, but I still got some damage on my s20+ one time from dropping. Just my experience. These aren't for hard drops. They CAN do well with bad drops, but don't expect this to be amazing protection and you're all good.
exactly they give the best user experience but they dont save phone from dropes that well which is the downside of that good feeling and experience for me its fine because i have armor case from uag (pathfinder) for those outside times or when im going for a run or smth and leather case for the nights where i cant show up with bulky armored phone
@ZYIR I really enjoyed my uag monarch case that I had. Eventually I decided I'm OK with some lesser protection and went with the samsung case. Uag gave me a much more secure feeling when using my phone. Definitely more protective than the samsing case and less bulky than they look online. Can't go wrong with either, but each has their advantages.
Ordered my S23 yesterday I took the bait on the hook with Free leather black case and was able to get some ear buds too! Was not happy about the trade in price on the s22 but convenient lol
Just picked up the same phone and leather case that you have. Love the case and it looks terrific. My only concern is how protective this thing is when dropped? I have yet to find any information on how this case performs in drop tests. Have you heard anything?
Bought the black leather, feels cheap without much protection. My last Samsung case fell apart after six months light use. Went back to otterbox defender which offers better quality and protection
If you’re used to a bulky, protective case then I can see how you would find the leather case unimpressive. It’s a very light and thin case that offers minimal protection. I really like the look and feel of the leather.
I should have gotten one of the silcione or leather cases or something, I have the smart veiw case beacuse it is very protective, I don't like flippy cases in general so that's on me but what I was surprised about that the flip case has no magnetic close! It just makes the over all expereince and stuff feel cheap... it is very protective tho.
I'm using a Rinke Fusion matte clear case right now. But I did get the silicone strap case in white!! Also the wallet case with the little window lol. I'm loving this phone!!
@@iseeLogic That sounds about normal though. Every clear case I've owned gets scratched super fast. The S22U case is hybrid shell plastic + silicone. The hard part is scratched and the silicone is brown
I'm not so worried about high fall drops but if the case will protect the phone on low drops I'll be fine with it. But one thing I'm eager to get is the silicone cases with the straps. I love the case idea with the straps even the other case holding designs. 😎💯👍👍
I got the s22 ultra silicone strap case for free with the phone. Didn't think I'd use it over my uag case. I really liked both, but I found myself really loving the strap. Slide my fingers in there and can do everything one handed on the move while knowing I'm not gonna drop my phone. The samsung cases offer a really great user experience and don't get in the way of the premium feel of the screen, however it's not as protective as the uag case. That's for sure. I just dropped my s22 ultra with the samsung strap case. I was completely fine, but the Whitestone dome tempered glass screen protector is what saved the screen I think. It shattered, but the screen underneath is flawless. The blows to the corner were completely fine. No damage. I don't know if the screen would have been damaged without the protector or not, but I'm just saying in terms of protection, it gets like a 6.4/10 from me. Overall enjoyability? Love the case. Also, I only dropped my phone once with it and it was because it wasn't in my sweatshirt pocket deep enough and slipped out. Usually I butterfinger it and fuck up my phone that way. In this period of time I probably would have had 2 bad drops instead of one, and both of then usually would have been due to my clumsiness. With the strap I haven't done it. So end result for me has been way better.
Mous is ok. They are very protective. I remember when they used to make bumper style cases only. I have a Mous case for my Pixel 6 Pro. If you like them go for it.
@@TechOdyssey thank you ! It's because on your video the add that i watched was about that specifically) with your knowledge i wanted ypur opinion on that. Asking because i am getting my S23ultra tonight after work
How does the strap case help with one hand usability? I'm used to wrapping my hand around my S10/S21 and doing everything with one hand, I can't do that with the Ultra obviously but I've wondered if that strap helps make it "smaller" somehow
The case will still scratch the phone more than you would do using it without the case. all cases offer drop protection only. If you want scratch protection, get hydrogel back protection film and side film and then install the case.
I watched this video hoping to see how you got the leather case off!!!!! I can't get mine off it's too hard. I don't like the idea of pushing on the cameras to get it off. Any help?
What I do is push the top right corner and then the top left corner back and unseal it from the phone. Then use my fingers to pull back on the top edge and pull it back off the phone.
Yea. It’s what I’ve used for years. If you’re not working in a hazardous environment and take good care of your phone and aren’t print to dropping it and keep a case, then you should be good. Better typing experience, phone feels more natural, better haptics and fingerprint sensor accuracy
Hey Adam does the oneplus 11 have the same problem as the oneplus 10 pro? When scrolling on apps like UA-cam the refresh rate would drop to 60 would like to know if they fixed that. Thanks
I pre-ordered on Feb 3, still no news... Apparently ships in March, what a let down! Ordered these cases on Feb 12 and getting them in 2 days. I'll just play with the cases I guess
It would be SOOOO much more of a no brainer if they would do mag safe style. I don't carry a wallet. I just have an id and card in a card holding case every time. Wife has apple with mag safe wallet attached on the back and its IDEAL. Frustrated that we had wireless charging so much longer and still don't have many good mag case options.
I think I will go buy uag or just cheap clear case with Shockproof protection. Samsung case is so expensive, it almost equal to Uag kevlar pro, not worth to pay for.
I was going to trade in my s22 ultra for a $500 discount off of the s23 ultra but decided just to pay full price and keep my s22 ultra as a back up. Amazon is selling the s22 ultra for $1,190.
I made that mistake with Note 8. It's wasting money. For backup, you can purchase a lot cheaper phone until yours get repaired with a fraction of the cost. In a couple of years, you'll be stuck with at least one outdated phone, which isn't worth much.
That leather case isn't leather at all. Its plastic with a fake leather coating. The green and tan cases suffer color "loss" on the corners. The black plastic becomes exposed. Just got mine in the mail today and it's going right back to Samsung. The Silicone cases are nicer than the "pleather" nonsense they overcharge for. Love your reviews though.
I love the Samsung leather cases, they look and feel very premium
Got the black one for mine, had it on my S22U, absolutely love it

What screen protector do you use? Can you make a video putting them on. I'm new to samsung from apple and all these screen protectors suck
I got my black silicone grip case on Saturday love it! I have big hands so I had to move the strap inside. Fits great. Got 2 of them.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying them!
Thanks for the video. I could not find information. Are these compatible with ring lens protectors?
Just picked up the same phone and leather case that you have. Love the case and it looks terrific. My only concern is how protective this thing is when dropped? I have yet to find any information on how this case performs in drop tests. Have you heard anything?
Great video. Do you think the leather case would accommodate the individual round lens protectors?
Yes absolutely

Ringke makes good cases too.
I love the standard clear case this year! It's all hard plastic, so it'll never yellow. And the bottom is cut out, so swiping up is easier now
Nice!
yeah, but scratches so easily, mine looks terrible after almost a month of usage... it has million scratches... but yeah, 0 yellowing.

I'm a sucker for green so that green leather won me over yet again lol!
Curious to see the ringke onyx
Nice review on the cases loving the leather one 😎🇮🇪👏
Thanks! The leather one is solid.
Hey TechOdyssey what do you think about the Mous case ( they are getting a newline for the s23 samsung line?

Which one do you prefer. I want one That s not so bulky
Oké the leather case
Can you link some cases that are more protective than the leather one?
Is a screen film enough protection? For someone who does drop their phone every so often.

Appreciate the video, brother! I was worried about rear camera protection on the leather case, so I'm glad you mentioned it. Much love from Kuwait 🩵
these cases fit camera ring protectors?
Did you ever try it ?

I'm getting the one leather case with the phantom black. Black all the way
I have the one with the strapI don't see how they are Wireless unless you have a very small wireless charger or take the straps off
I think the most practical Samsung cases are the ones coming with stand. I've been purchasing those since Note 8.
I have an ESR case for my S22 Ultra with a built in stand. I like it a lot.
I actually like the Poetic Case and the Zizo case. I tried Spigen case, and I gave no kind of protection from day 1

Does the S23 Ultra come with a screen protector already installed?
No

Nice. Excellent choices
I got a 7 pro best case and screen protector

I got there leather case but dam its soon hard to take off once on
it's not the easiest to take off, for sure. Start at the top and pull it back. It's much more difficult to try and take it off from the bottom.
