Spigen ultra hybrid S is the best clear case hands down. Each individual camera lens is protected instead of a huge hole around all the lenses. Looks much sleeker and the kickstand is outstanding. The best clear case ive ever had.
ESR shock armor is best for me and I don't even like clear back cases. But I got that one. Love it. Kick stand over camera lenses out the way so I added Magsafe to back and it works 🤷🏽♂️
@Travis Strickland Yes I had looked at that one and thought it would be perfect if they added magsafe to it but they didnt.. guess I'll be looking for one with magsafe and a built in kickstand
Why is drop protection not specified on these case reviews. I drop my phone everyday. (No judging I have conditions). I need to know if it will protect my phone while tumbling down cement steps. Or if it falls out the car when I get out and hits the asphalt. Protect the screen and the camera lenses.
I don't like how allot of the cases don't add protection around the camera lenses so there is this big spot where the phone is bare and doesn't have anything to protect it
Thanks you for taking the time to review so many cases! I had an emergency and had to replace my phone less than 1 day before leaving the country for 3 weeks. Nobody local had cases for the s23 Ultra. I cannot believe what a slippery little sucker the this phone is! Finally put it in a waterproof dry bag for protection whether I was near water or not. With so many cases to choose from I don't have the time or inclination to do the research. Your reviews have already narrowed it down to 3 or 4 cases. I will definitely be watching parts of your review over again before making a final decision. Your reviews are very helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
Holy cow, that's a lot of cases to mull over but after review, I decided on the Spigen Tough Armor in Abyss Green. I went with the LK film screen protector and works perfectly with the case. You can set the case down on either side and the camera and screen has raised areas for protection. Done deal and works for me.
Excellent video. Thank you. I got the ultra, and the first thing I did was pick up a case with a screen protector, but the finger print reader was really hit or miss. So I installed a zagg screen protector and bought the UAG Metropolis. But the mag on it is terrible. I want another case with a little more protection, so your video helped a lot. Cheers.
I'm trying to decide which screen protector to buy, I've always used zagg, never a problem but they have all been glass and it seems zagg only made the fusion for the ultra, are you happy with it fit, fingerprint, touch?
@@ellstewsin I'm happy with it thus far. I wish it was glass too. But that's why I'm looking for a bulkier case, that'll really protect the edge screen better.
I am enjoying the UAG Metropolis LT Pro case. It looks really great, has mag safe, high raised edges and has the lenses area protected. The only downside is price.
Great video. My eyes have fone cross-eyed reading reviews tonight! Just ordered my S23 ultra so keen to get a case and screen protector. The Poetic range with the built-in screen protector seem pretty good. You didn't mention it as an issue so I assume the S-pen works fine with the screen protector? Not sure if to go for a case and separate protector though. I use a clear Spigen case and film protector on my Hauwei P30 Pro and the film does start to lift at the edges and corners plus I think glass protectors offer better protection.

Hi example the ESR shock armour case. How do you protect the phone body that's not protected by the camera cutout. I like ESR armour series but I'm very worried about that square cutout
Great video! I've bought several S23 Ultra cases so far: ESR Boost Kickstand, Spigen Rugged Armor, Spigen Tough Armor, and Caseology Nano Pop. I'm disappointed the ESR only has top and bottom lips, sides are not super well protected; though the kickstand is very nice. The Spigen's are about flush with the side lips (top and bottom are good) and the tough armor really is a beast (though weak kickstand). I just ordered the Athlex to see how it compares in person. Broke my Pixel 6 Pro's curved screen when I dropped it and it hit the trim between rooms, and the lack of side bezel didn't protect the screen. Hoping for decent 360-screen lip protection, without having to go to a full folio case like the Pixel.
How did the Athlex work for you? I'm looking at it because it seems to offer a good grip all around with moderate protection. Does it have enought protection on the sides?
@@Edgar... It's very been good. The one in keeping. It's very grippy and has the same lip as the Nano Pop. The sides are extra sandpaper-y like the Nano Pop but the rest of it is pretty coarse bumpy as well. I like it. My wife thinks it's too rough but I prefer the grip. I wish it had just the matte of the Spigen Rugged Armor but that one doesn't have the front lip protection as much. And yeah, the sides are the best I've found so far that aren't a mulit-piece case
@@NateBraska I really appreciate the fast response. That's exactly what I'm looking for a case with actually grip.
