The more videos I watch, the more I like your channel Chris. Keep on this excellent work & thanks for taking time to film, not always is easy (or permited).
Good tip on marking the txv stem, some of those txvs never seem to stabilize. I have the same Cooper thermometer, very accurate at .3deg can't beat it. Your 110% correct on double checking other people's work, even the factory. If it can go wrong, it will. Great video keep them rolling. It seams the techs that really love what they do are willing to help others. There was way too many insecure guys the field when I started, no help form most of them.
UcantStopThis1 HVAC Videos hey man thanks for watching. Yes I was taught years ago to mark the stem , helps for sure . Yes I’m just trying to share some knowledge. I don’t know everything that’s for sure. We all learn everyday
Hey, I learned a new trick today, thanks! I really like the idea of marking one face of the TX valve stem to make your turn count go easier, gonna try that on my next job.
Excellent work. Would you please explain the steps taken to start condenser up? Do you add refrigerant to the low side first? If so, how much? Etc, thanks 🙏
I’m new to the trade, but good call on checking new units or equipment. I got a new set of manifold gauges and they started leaking up by the handle on the high side. Tightened up the nut and they worked great afterwards. Love the videos man, very informative, keep it up.
Just subscribed. Been enjoying the videos. Good tip on marking txv stem. If you did not have the wires to the condensing unit to break the tstat leg would you have mounted defrost inside at evaporator or do you ever just off cycle the condenser breaking a leg of contractor coil? Seen both ways.
MR. ICE hey man thanks for watching. Yes I would take the power from the evap downstairs and mount clock in the box and break the wire to Tstat and solenoid inside the box. Also yes , you can just break the leg to the contactor on the roof but when a solenoid is in the system it won’t be able to pump down if you just broke the leg to the contactor coil . Thanks for watching man 👍
I just put the same style condenser in but for a walk in freezer. You mentioned the old condenser was bigger. Did it have a semihermetic recip. comp in it? Them babies run for ever. Now a days customers are on a budget and go for the tin can compressors. But with the right work the tin cans last a long time as well. But nothing like the semi hermetic.
Jacob Nesbit hey man I’ve always had the 2 valve ones. Never had the 4 valve. I’ve used the 4 valve before. I find the manifold is too big for what I like , I just used shut off valves on my hoses that you can buy separately .
The9oh3Rider it can be ok if they have some frost at times but they should not be a block of ice . Freezers the tubes will get frosty but shouldn’t be frozen solid
CSC Refrigeration and Hvac okay. That’s what I am seeing. It’s not a block of ice. Thanks man. I’m still learning so I’m sure I’ll ask more questions haha
"Never trust anyone trust yourself" , i feel exactly the same. Great videos bro, new subscriber here keep up the good work!!
HVACR VIDEOS hey man thanks for watching and appreciate it 👍
Nice clean install. You are right about always checking everything, I learned that the hard way. Great video.
Great advice to check everything yourself!

Learn a lot from your refrigeration vids
Thanks
Refrigeration Technology thanks man I appreciate that

404 Refrigeration awesome man ! Yes I’ve been marking them for years. Otherwise I’d lose count. Hahahah
Since that was a TXV why was u checking superheat?
Great video
I graduated last week from an hvac school in Lowell mass so i have a lot to learn
Miguel Villa hey man. Congrats
Thanks

Cooper Thermos are where its at. It is all we used on Dairy Refer
Can't agree enough. Never trust that the factory has everything buttoned up tight!
Absolutely

Anthony Reardon hvacr hey man , no the old unit had a hermetic as well
Nice job
Miguel Villa thanks for watching
There should be a better way than treated 4x4's to support those units, think?
nota newbie probably but I’ve ways had good luck with them. It also depends what the customer wants to pay for
Hey just was the old condensing unit r22 if so did you change the nozzle in the distributor because the r22 nozzle is different from the rest?
D W yes I did put a new nozzle In when I installed the new txv
hey csc would you bother with four valve manifolds or just stick with 2 valves?
Jacob Nesbit hey man I’ve always had the 2 valve ones. Never had the 4 valve. I’ve used the 4 valve before. I find the manifold is too big for what I like , I just used shut off valves on my hoses that you can buy separately .
I would go 4 valve
condensing unit musical note B♭
I have a questions, on 6:28 you said for compressor you need 25 to 30F of super heat is that right ?
XRAY Bravo yes
Hi i am a new subscriber
High superheat could mean low charge and by adding refrigerant y lower the superheat
I may be wrong Please correct me
Mustapha Ennajem yes if you don’t have a correct charge the superheat will not be right
Is it normal for the evap end loops and distribution tubes to be froze up? I’m new to the walk-in cooler/freezer work.
The9oh3Rider it can be ok if they have some frost at times but they should not be a block of ice . Freezers the tubes will get frosty but shouldn’t be frozen solid

The9oh3Rider no prob man. Thanks for watching 👍
Wtf rotolock blows. Why can't they go sweat on all components. Nice work
Sean Mackiewicz thanks man !
