      CSC Refrigeration and Hvac Yeah The first company I worked for we had a contract with Gp paper mill 200 ton units, chiller maintenance and cooling towers I loved it I worked with them about 11 years and that mill shut down, now I’m working for a small well I say small we run 13 service trucks, it’s almost all residential stuff ... yuck 🙄 I take all the refrigeration calls and commercial stuff I can, anyway I’ve been with them little over 5 years now.

  • @ralphgiampietro85
    @ralphgiampietro85 6 років тому

    As always good video but I must comment about your use on head pressure controls that already Incorporated Headmaster they don't recommend you do that well I understand it gets very cold in your area I'm in New York it gets cold here too some systems should have heated and insulated receivers with check valves in the liquid drain line prevent migration on the off-cycle that's the correct way the snap acting head pressure controls tend to fight the Headmaster pressure setting but look I've been in the field for 38 years and sometimes you got to do what you got to do it would probably be better two thermostatically control one condenser fan if you have more than one fan and let the Headmaster do the rest of the work good video in any case

    • @Cscrefandhvac
      @Cscrefandhvac  6 років тому +1

      Ralph Giampietro yes sir all very good points !! Normally I just let the headmaster do its thing and all is fine . But we have some applications where we use hot gas injection and the headmaster just doesn’t maintain the head pressure high enough in the extreme cold for it to work properly so we also have to cycle the fans as well . Thanks for watching 👍

    When you’re looking at the unit. How can you tell the difference between fan control and high pressure control?

    • @Cscrefandhvac

      You can tell by the way they are set and also follow the wires and see what they go to

    Hey mate I have a simple question but it keep running in my mind and it is that if I set my low pressure control to shut off at 10 like you just mention my question is the compressor will shut of at 10psi or as soon it sense a decrease in the suction line pressure ?

    Hi nice video.
    Question… what is the difference between the fan cycle control and the low pressure control according to the ones in your video?
    Thanks

    • @robmolin4288

      Since they look the same to me. Thanks mate.

    • @Cscrefandhvac
      @Cscrefandhvac  2 роки тому +1

      The pressure settings are different . Fan cycle controls are higher pressures because they go on the high side to read head pressure . Low pressure controls are on the low side for suction pressure

  • @MrEltinieblas
    @MrEltinieblas 5 років тому +1

    Hello. What would be the ideal cut in and cut out low pressure settings for a medium temp walk in cooler to maintain a 38 to 40 degrees. Thanks!

    • @Cscrefandhvac
      @Cscrefandhvac  5 років тому

      Mr. Tinieblas well usually pressure controls don’t control temp anymore on most systems. They are there to shut the compressor off during pumpdown

    • @MrEltinieblas
      @MrEltinieblas 5 років тому

      Understood. So what would you set your pump down pressure to and what pressure should the compressor come back on. I apologize if this seems like a dumb question. I’m still learning commercial refrigeration. I’m hoping to some day gain the knowledge you possess.

    • @Cscrefandhvac
      @Cscrefandhvac  5 років тому

      Mr. Tinieblas I usually set them to shut off at 5 psi or so and come back on at 25 psi. I like a 20-25 psi differential

    • @MrEltinieblas
      @MrEltinieblas 5 років тому +1

      CSC Refrigeration and Hvac I appreciate your prompt response. Just one more question if you don’t mind. Will the compressor be cycling off and on until the thermostat inside the walk in box comes down to temperature? Or will it stay running till ? Thanks so much!

    • @Cscrefandhvac
      @Cscrefandhvac  5 років тому

      Mr. Tinieblas it will run until the box reaches setpoint or goes on defrost . When those things happen it will pump down and shut off

    thank you for your time

    • @Cscrefandhvac
      @Cscrefandhvac  6 років тому

      +C&H GUY no we use hard drawn copper. If the liquid line is small like 3/8 or half inch we will use soft drawn copper for that. Everything else is hard pipe
