He lost to Quinton De Kock. Had a verbal fight, lost concentration, lost match, tampering the ball, caught on camera, losing vice captaincy and getting banned for over a year. He's lucky to be on the side just because no young cricketers in Australia are interested in playing for country rather for clubs.

He honestly was the first players that proved that the aggressive batting style in ODI and T20 matches could be transferred to Test matches. To do it in all parts of the world like he did as well is also something very special. Australia probably won't have an opening batter like Warner anytime soon he was that good!
He is great opening batsman of this era but there was Virendra Sehwag who started the attacking approach in test cricket at opening position. Sorry to say this on his great day but just want to say fact. I have no doubt he is the greatest opener of this era in each format.

For batsmen, that is truly a remarkable feat. Warner, even more than Kohli is a champion. 2 wc, 1 t20 wc as a mos, wtc champion and that ipl trophy as a captain. The most decorated opener in all of cricket.
