The Universe's First Planets [4K]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 тра 2024
- How old is the oldest planet? When did the first planets form in the universe? And what about life-supporting worlds? These are some of the most complex questions in extrasolar-planetary science. But by studying the ancient exoplanets in the Milky Way galaxy, we've managed to build up a comprehensive picture of when the genesis planets formed, and what they were like. Those findings make up the content of our video today.

How I watch SEA videos: once while wide awake and sucked in for the amazing content. Then hundreds of times to help me fall asleep until there's a new one and the cycle starts all over.

Independent filmmakers like you are picking up the slack and making the interesting documentaries that the legacy TV networks aren’t making anymore. Excellent work.
Kk ok io
This is why most of my viewing these days are various channels here on UA-cam. Broadcast/cable TV is mosty garbage these days, especially since the rise of "reality TV". Here, I can find videos which inform and can hold my interest.
It is because they are trying to get maximum profits. So everything from the good channels has turned into "reality tv shows" or spitting out conspiracy theories. That is what earns the most for them.
Or whoever is at top management decided science isn't worth it anymore.
At least in America I believe this is happening.

What a time to be alive and have free access to so much knowledge.
😀
Is that a Dr. Karolny Zolnai-Feher reference? I'm pretty sure I just slaughtered his name but check out his videos, "Two minute papers" on computer graphics simulations if you ever want to waste a few minutes on the ol' brain pan.
Kardashians..... :)
This is why I refer to UA-cam as my free university.
These videos are always so well produced and superbly narrated. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these.
Other than Sir David, I typically do not like Bri...ish accents.
But I like your cadence and delivery.

Meet SEA 😂
It's always a great day when a new video comes from the SEA 🌊
Yes
😍
Indeed it is
Yes, indeed.
Absolutely
There are about a dozen YT channels that make my day when they release a new video, and this channel is one of them. 🙂
In the early universe, there was not enough Phil Collins to form the Genesis Planets as we know them today, but there was an abundance of Peter Gabriel.
Dark matter might be Peter Gabriel
I recently bought my first house and played all your videos while I painted the rooms and did some minor repair over the course of two months before fully moving in. Your videos are the best and are now forever part of my memory of my new home. I was born and raised in Hawaii but moved away. This video is so fitting for me to finally have made a comment with a Hawaiian name given to the super cluster. Thank you.
Hands down the best astronomy channel on the entire internet. Thank you SEA
Chilling to think about all the possible worlds we will never know
😀
Yeah or the ones that came before
My guy dropping full documentaries on UA-cam for free you're awesome
This is one of the greatest channels on UA-cam, you're an absolute inspiration for me on creating my content 🙌
Amazing, thank you so much!! Your videos look excellent 😊
Agreed. SEA gets pacing, structure and the visuals just right to make what is on paper, equations and hypotheses, seem like magic.
Hola pol. 🤠
These videos are perfect for cooking and cleaning and long drives in the semi. I love them
I'm totally addicted to your channel. I watched one video a week ago and haven't watched anything else on UA-cam since. It takes incredible dedication to make so many videos with such high quality visuals and to break down such complex subjects into a form that can be understood by someone as uninformed on the subject as me. Thank you for the time you've put into these!
Great video! Exoplanets is my favourite topic :)
A little biased maybe !
This is by far the best description of planetary formation ever.
I love these videos so much. Informational and help me sleep. I'll listen to the same video 4 or 5 times just to get it all. Great content, as usual!
Same here lol
Ditto!!! 🙋🏻♀️
I'm 50 now and feel like I'm living in the future, watching this it's like star trek , planets!
When I was a child we could only dream about planets and now we know there everywhere.
It will be like star trek ! We will be going there , technology and science is increasing at a rate that's now uncontrollable , I envy the future , I want to be there!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant post 🪐
I'm 45 and the technology kind of crept up on me. One day it just hit me that I'm living in the future and everyone's suddenly got a Star Trek gadget.
I now understand what my late grandma meant when she said "You don't realise what a miracle the telephone is. I can speak to someone in another country!". Me being 7 years old didn't see anything special about it, I just thought she was easily impressed.
Now I'm impressed more every day, while my son doesn't give a second thought to mobile phones and 24h internet access. It's the most natural thing in the world for him.
@@VikingTeddy I'm 42. We are the last generation to ever know what it was like without cell phones and internet.
I'm really enjoying the pace of your voice-over from 2 videos ago and in this one. Keep up the great work 👍 #seasquad
I can't believe I've been watching UA-cam for more than 10 years now without knowing this channel exists
well he hasn't been like this forever. he did a lot of commentary on Geometry Dash before this
How the hell is this video not sponsored by Brilliant or someone like them? It must have been a lot of work to put it all together! Great content, good job with this one again! Thank you :)
I don’t do sponsorships, I just do late nights and beer crates 😜
@@sea_space That sounds even better :D
@@sea_space Well you do it very well !
@@sea_space you’re a hero.
This and the channel Cool Worlds are my favorite for cosmology.
I absolutely love this channel, the information is so detailed so accurate, and everything is always just really soothing and easy to comprehend and understand, I use this as a teaching tool, and I absolutely am just fascinated with this, I’ve always been a astronomy buff, but I didn’t wanna go into it in school because my passion laid elsewhere, but it’s always been one of my secret little hobbies, and I just want to say thank you so much for producing this content and making all of this available to us in the format that you are putting it in. I think this is just absolutely fascinating.
Thank you for such kind words! I have to say I find myself in the same boat in that I always loved astronomy but never pursued it as a career… but this channel definitely allowed me to study these wonderful topics in depth and feed that hobby, and I’m very grateful 😊
Love your handle!
My introduction to this channel was "The Orphan Moon" and I must say that the quality of your new videos still give me the same existential crisis and wonder. Keep it up, man!
You a legend SEA. Truly the GOAT.
There aint a channel that does space documentaries better than SEA. Being able to be incredibly detailed while keeping the terms simple enough for anyone to understand is what makes them so great imho
Fun fact: in Europe, the Genesis Planets are known as the Mega Drive Planets.
Now that's good.

@@ornessarhithfaeron3576 It's a joke about one of SEGA's video game consoles from the 1990s.
The fact I got this joke makes me feel old.
THIS is what I wish all documentaries were like! I don't even have a diagnosed seizure disorder and there have been docco's that I really wanted to watch but couldn't look at because every scene had ten cuts that all involved a loud noise and a flashing light. I lasted half an episode and even then every cut made me wince. One of the medical docs I tried to watch had flashing siren lights up the sides the screen the whole time. I lasted ten minutes on that one. Your videos should be mandatory viewing for anyone starting out making docco's. Thank you so much! I can actually watch, listen & hear what you're saying without feeling like I'm about to have a fit or something. Joins the ranks of my favourite documentaries - alongside RPA & most of Attenborough - good company ^_^
I absolutely love your videos and always can't wait for another! Please never stop making these space videos!!!!
From GD documentaries, to some of the best space documentaries in UA-cam. This is truly something I would not have expected. Your dedication is really admirable.
Your voice is the right tone to fall asleep to. Like, everywhere channel hurts to watch trying to sleep to. Please make a super long video I can replay to fall asleep to everynight
Another master piece.
Can you please add the Cosmic Scale video to the sleep playlist. It's my favourite
Always brilliant and fascinating to a point of pure excellence. Feels like every video he makes is just as good as the last one. Top tier work 👌
Your content has come a long way from when you first started a few years ago. Always fun to watch, especially at night!

275k views and only 9k can hit the like button?!?! That’s depressing. This dude puts great time and energy into the videos, which are, imo, expertly done! When I first found the channel, I watched the vids over and over. Such a great educational channel.
Love the channeI! Space is one of my interests and the videos here are great! Stunning images and an informative narration with a soundtrack which does not intrude.. I will also check out the Sleep Space playlist. Thank you so much for uploading, SEA!
Thank you SEA, I’m like an addict been checking your account every day for the past week for a new upload! Let’s goooo

Amazing content. Of all the videos I've watched about astronomy, it's the first time I hear about this topic. Very interesting! I can't wait to hear about completely new content, such as what is the difference between stars with low mecallicity vs ones with high metallicity, and do we have an idea about the stars of the future as well? Even if we're probably completely wrong!
