If you look closely at Jacen's shoulder you'll a pauldron that looks EXACTLY like the one Kanan wore... only smaller!!!
literally cried at this, i didn't notice it during the ep
It would be beautiful if she had Kanan's pauldron modified to fit Jacen. Kanan wasn't wearing it when he died.
@@YodatheHobbit That seems more like an Uncle Zeb or Auntie Sabine thing to do!!! But yeah, I agree!!
My headcannon will be that Ezra will be back and once all this story is done, he will meet Jacen and train him in the Force the same way Kanan trained him
They definitely could've made this episode longer. It feels like it ended kind of abruptly. Also, I didn't expect to actually see Jacen, so that was really cool.
Huh, I was waiting for your reaction when Jacen Syndulla appear there And you didn't disappoint me
I’m really hoping Sabine becomes a skilled lightsaber duelist but NOT forced sensitive, it just doesn’t fit her character and would ruin the one in rebels.
Too short.
Can we just appreciate David Tennant? The material they're giving Huyang is top notch and he's eating it for breakfast, elevensies, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, midnight snack AND 3am kebab shop visit. It's varied and also really funny in a way I wish they'd let Matt Berry be funny in The Book of Boba Fett. Hats off.
David Tennant is also most excellent in the Netflix series "Good Omens 1 & 2. If you hadn't seen it ,I highly recommended it
David Tennant is a gem in anything he is in. I think he is one of the most experienced actors on this whole show too, from theatre to tv and movies in fact. You can HEAR the smile and fun he has been having as Huyang.
When Hera was talking with Mon Mothma and the Senators, when the possibilty of Ezra being dead was raised, you could hear Hera going into Mom mode when she said "You don't know that"
You'd think Xiono would've picked up on that......since Kaz would be a child at this point
Can we add Jacen to your most epic reaction list 4:44 along with Santi and Zeb?
Great acting from Mary Elizabeth Winstead in this ep. That scene where Jacen saying he wants to be a Jedi, the pained smile behind Hera's face... you can see a multitude of emotions there. She definitely thought of Kanan in those moments.
Qui Gon was a rebel within the order. Obi Wan barely got accepted into the academy and had a low aptitude by the standard of accepted candidates. Anakin did not follow the ways of the Jedi very well either and eventually became a Sith. Then there's Ahsoka, who also did not follow the pathway of the traditional Jedi order. Who better to teach Sabine than Ahsoka! And I like that by the end, we see them communicating. Ahsoka is trying to become a better mentor as they go along. She wants to be the type of mentor that Sabine needs, I cannot appreciate this enough. Love the writing, love the action, love the characters. Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera showed so much passion for her family (Ezra) and knowledge. They are all doing such a great job!
Dooku was out of step with the council. And ten there's the grand master who was a powerhouse in a species known for high M counts
For a shorter episode I think it did its job. I'm looking forward to seeing where we go from here and what this new galaxy will bring!
"Aren't you a little short for an episode?"
"Huh? Oh, the runtime."
i love how jacen said Aunt Sabine, also imagine Ezra face seeing him.
I’m an absolute sucker for awesome training scenes, and this might become one of my favorites! Not only does it feel like so many classic samurai films, it also proves that Ahsoka isn’t training Sabine to be a Jedi, but a better version of herself.
As for the Senate committee, as much as I hate the old trope of “there isn’t enough evidence to support your crazy theory”, how many times throughout modern history has this happened, where a majority government officials either don’t believe or don’t WANT to believe a long believed dead or weakened enemy has come back? Still seeing Jacen talking with Mama Hera about AUNT Sabine made my heart melt!
Also, Ahsoka going out into space to fight starfighters with just her lightsabers is exactly the crazy ass thing Anakin would do with Ahsoka if you’ve seen Clone Wars!
how does teaching her to open herself to force so that she can use it, equate to not teaching her to be a jedi? or do you just mean that even though she's teaching her to use the force that she is specifically teaching her to not be a jedi in the same way that she herself "is no jedi"
@@sakisaotome6753 exactly. I’m still waiting for her to establish that she is no longer a Jedi.
worth acknowledging that Senator Hamato Xiono, the one getting into a spout with Hera, is Kaz's father in Resistance. it's been implied he turncoated around the time of Hosnian
Your comment, _“Dude, Kanan would be so proud of Sabine.”_ during the training scene made me tear up thinking about it.
Also, Natasha Bordizzo put in _WORK_ on her kendo form for that sequence and the way she moved looked like you'd expect a Mandalorian to. SO impressed.
She has been practicing Taekwondo since she was 10 (has
black belt) and did extensive training in Wudang sword fighting when she filmed the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel (directed by the first film and Kill Bill’s choreographer). She’s AMAZING!!
@@Hellbilly709 Yeah, everything about the way she moves as well as her physicality (those _ARMS_ bro) instantly lets you know she's a trained martial artist. Even little details like how the tip of the training boken barely moves at ALL when she stops her swings every time, which takes _extremely_ high control and knowing those movements through your entire body.
I honestly cannot wait until we get to see more from her in action scenes as this season goes on, because this was very clearly just a tiny taste of what we're gonna see, especially after the opening episode intentionally puts her on the back foot against Shin and showing the challenge of Sabine being a non-Force talented user having to make up for those skills with her focus and training.
@@PierceArner YEEESSSSS!!!! I haven’t had a chance to watch all the reactions yet, but I cant believe no one mentioned her arms/shoulders yet! Like DAYUM!!!!
@@Hellbilly709 Can't be sleeping on Rosario's arms either, her shoulders are rippling like amber waves of grain
@@Melancthon7332 FACTS!!!! 🤌🤌🤌🤌
Jacen being babysat by Chopper, now that’s absolute chaos bound to ensue.
are you sure jacen wasn't babysitting chopper to make sure he doesn't do anything crazy on home one? =)
Sabine trying to move the cup with the force is basically every star wars fan ever at some point of their lives 😂😂😂
You always know a shows is good when the screen goes black and you stare for 2-3 seconds only for the first credit to roll followed by a Noooooooo!
The emotions that flow from seeing live action Purrgil.....I wasn't ready for and the tears just came. So happy this season is focusing on them and their lore, really hope their history is revealed a lot more this season. Also now that we know there were other Mandolorian Jedi I want to know about them
Well, no: There have been other Force-using Mandalorians, but, so far (in official SW lore), Tarre Vizsla is the First and Only (fully trained) Mandalorian Jedi, that was member of The Jedi Order on Coruscant. That's why Mandalorians, years later, had to secretly break in to The Jedi Temple and steal The Darksaber, after his death.
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 Tarre Vizsla was the first but never is it said that he was the only. even in rebels when they talk about him they've always said that he was the first mandolorian jedi. the implication being that there were more than just him. even in this episode huyang said in this episode that there were few.
@@sakisaotome6753 The question then becomes: Did any of the other 2 Jedi ever attain Jedi Knight or Master status, since only Vizsla's Darksaber seems to be the only one that Mandalorians hold in the utmost esteem? Were they, at best, only Padawans or Jedi who left The Order, choosing their Mandalorian status?
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 that's a good question.
Yoda -> Dooku -> Qui Gon -> Obi Wan -> Anakin -> Ahsoka -> Sabine
Huyang wasn't wrong
@@bemasaberwyn55 I mean only up to Dooku he isn't wrong. Yoda is pretty traditional in comparison. Not sure how Dooku went the way he did before becoming a Sith so that's interesting to explore in more Tales of the Jedi stuff, younger Dooku and Master Yoda on adventures.
@@chazo1367 I dont know, Yoda was the grand master of the order so he had to walk the line, but even during ahsoka's trial he makes it clear he didn't stand with the out council members in voting her out. and when he goes to on his trip to see the whills he gets Anakin to cover for him. i'm guessing if we had ever seen a younger yoda that he would have been a bit of a hellraiser in his day.
@@sakisaotome6753 I think it was part of his way of coping with the war? Acting out a little. Maybe in his much younger days he was like a toddler on steroids to the older masters, but we won’t ever see it sadly.
@@chazo1367 we will be seeing stuff in the high republic era so it's possible we might get to see some younger yoda
I hope Rex appears. Having grown up with my name being Rex (I'm in my 60s now) i always had negative associations with my name, ie dogs. Until Captain Rex came along and got so many fans😊
Yoda ---> Dooku --> Qui Gon --> Obi-Wan --> Anakin ---> Ahsoka ---> Sabine
A lot of non-traditional in there for sure!
Jacen Syndula live action debut, Ahsoka & Sabine training, Senator Xiono being as big of dick as he was in Resistance, SPACE WHALES!, can we name drop Kanan please
Sabine vs the cup is the greatest dual in the saga.
Hera roasting the senator guy is a joy to watch. Most of the politicians don't know about the war and its consequences. No differ from reality.
The fact that Mon Mothma *knows* who Chopper is... she knows who to go to when the New Republic needs some wet work. 🤣😂
Notification squad present. Thank you for the video Louise. You are waiting for Kallus and I'm waiting for Rex and Anakin, although Kallus is my list too
I love Ashoka Tano and Sabine wren together 🎉🎉❤❤
I love Ashoka space was amazing 🎉🎉
More surprise is son's Hera , he is amazing 💥
Ithink you need to see a doctor.
@@karlydoc what is that supposed to mean?
@@karlydoc what ???
Did y’all know the guy who believes Grand Admiral Thrawn is dead, is actually Kaz’s father from Star Wars resistance.
The actor for Sabine is a black belt in taekwondo she also does another form but I can't remember the name off the top of my head she's a pretty great actress she was in crouching Tiger hidden Dragon..
Nine out of 10 Yep time moves really quickly before you know it you'll be 45 .. Yeah it moves pretty fast
Purrgils looked amazing and the action was pretty good in this episode,it's nice to see Ashoka and Sabine working and training together :)
That Asian senator next to Chancellor Mon Mothma was Himoto Xiono, father of Kazuda Xiono from Star Wars Resistance
CONFIRMED! Marrok is indeed NOT ezra bridger as most people speculate coz hasbro just released black series 6 inch figure of ezra from the ahsoka series AND a Marrok 6 inch black series as seen now in the series
Everyone who watched the episode hearing you saying you hope Jacen shows up 😏😏
Your reaction videos are the best, because of your insanely cute reactions...
Had a hard time finding your reaction for some weird reason so many people reacting to the same episode I guess 9 out of 10 from me
My only complaint and I believe many others this episode was too short 😂
"auntie sabine" 😭😭😭
I think Zeb will join before they travel to the other Galaxy.
Would love to see the mischief Jacen and chopper get into.
I've loved everything Star Wars, but Ahsoka and Andor have definitely become favorites for me. So good!
This Ep was INCREDIBLE 🥰
Hi Louise hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Hera did not finish her message as they entered the Denab system. I do hope she did have a Plan B and someone will come to strengthen our heroes.
I am “Back On My Bullsh_t™” this week, because I went from 90% sure last week to dang near 100% sure that Marrok is *some version* of Starkiller now that I heard Sam Witwer’s (heavily modulated) voice coming out of Marrok’s helmet. Go compare it to General Kael’s voice in the Willow show, it sounds nearly identical but with perhaps slightly more digital manipulation.
It’s interesting that they only credited Paul Darnell (the stunt actor who wears the suit) this week. Darnell is the same size and build as Witwer, and has said before he’s not playing Marrok, “only” doing the stunt work. I can’t help but wonder if they saw the fan predictions and theories and all the scrutiny Witwer’s name in the credits got last week and removed it this week at the last minute to try and preserve as much of their reveal as they could?
For those who didn’t see my comment last week, I’m so confident it’s Starkiller because of comments Dave has made about Starkiller in the past, and because of the Mortis gods symbolism.
To recap:
You have Ahsoka. We saw in TCW that she comes to be both the literal and figurative embodiment of The Daughter, and the light side of the force. Morai has been following her around for years at this point. This is the most concrete connection; the most obvious.
But then we go a step farther. Who represents The Father? Not Ahsoka’s literal father, obviously, because in the galactic scale he’s pretty irrelevant, and certainly he doesn’t have force significance. But Anakin? They always had more of a brother/sister dynamic interpersonally, but a master is like a parent to a padawan in form and function. Teaching, instructing, growing, nurturing. Ahsoka was, in many ways, his *force* progeny, even though she clearly wasn’t his literal kid. But remember, Anakin was something else before he was Vader, and even before he was Ahsoka’s master. He was the chosen one, who would *bring balance to the force* according to prophecy. What’s the Father’s whole bag? The *balance* of light and dark. Anakin directly walked both paths, light and dark, and was the chosen one who it was believed would bring balance to the force. He’s the Father. Ahsoka is The Daughter.
So who represents the Son on the dark side of the force?
Well, Anakin had one other apprentice. ONLY one other apprentice. A male (again, Son) force user Anakin trained in secret to use the dark side of the force when Anakin was known as Darth Vader.
A character Dave Filoni told Sam Witwer directly (according to Witwer) that Filoni considered making an Inquisitor to begin with in Rebels.
Galen.
*Marek*
Purrgils!!!!! Was not expecting that at all!!
It's funny they make us wait years and years and years and then they give us a 30-minute episode at least episode 2 was almost an hour long,, and I'm praying to God that the rest of the episodes are a hour long
I’ve been enjoying this show so much so far I really can’t wait to see where it goes I still can’t believe we get to see all these things from rebels in live action it’s unreal
😎😎
I want ezra to return and train Jacen so badly lol
I'm hoping Hera will round up the remaining Ghost crew and head out to Seatos when she realizes Ahsoka and Sabine aren't responding. I don't expect to see Thrawn until the finale but can't imagine her not being there when that happens.
I disagree. They always do a big ending with the mid-season episode, which is the next one. I can see the Ghost showing up, HOPEFULLY with Zeb, Callis, & Rex, to help but in the end Morgan is able to jump to the galaxy with Thrawn which will be how the episode ends with the scene of Thrawn on the bridge of Morgan's ship. I also think the crew is going to get the purrgil's help to reach that far galaxy which would be insane, though how they connect with the purrgil I'm not sure!!!
Love the samurai vibes with sabine's training, so cool..
Rebels season 5 is shaping up to be a fine addition to the canon.
Ah, as always, politicians f***king everything up.
Sabine will be like Chirrut from Rogue One.
THANK YOU
Appreciate some Low key traditional Kendo..(variations)...Incorporated w Jedi Training
Jacen Syndula live action debut, Ahsoka & Sabine training, Senator Xiono being as big of dick as he was in Resistance, SPACE WHALES!, can we name drop Kanan please
Yanno, if they are doing a subtle recast for new canon, a youngling named Jacen in this era wanting to be a Jedi...... potentially goes sideways....
You can see Jacen's vestigial lekku poking out under his hair, and remember that even full-blood twileks of that age have very short ones.
Kazuda Xiono's Father being a tool in the Senate was a given (since we are not yet allowed to go full Bothan and Borsk Feyla).
Eye of Sion giving that Space Truck n Tractor pull vibe, 7 engines on a frame, ready to blow out the superchargers.
Jedi have been wingwalking on starships with lightsabers ever since the D6 West End Games SWRPG 35 years ago. That was a pro gamer move.
Sabine: Ahsoka where you going?
Ahsoka: I'm gonna do an Aanakin!
* proceeds to deflect starfighter shots with her lightsabers, while wearing a spacesuit, standing on her ships outer hull *
...
Jeah that checks out.
Tano, Skywalker, Kenobi, Jin, Doku, Yoda. Would we call this a long line of non conventual Jedi? Hell yea we would.
New enemy fighters, Ahsoka in a space suit, AND live-action purrgill? Hasbro’s about to profit off of this like Hondo.
So... has anyone else noticed yet that Hati doesn't blink? Like, at all...?
Also, which of the senators with Mothma do you think is gonna be the Imperial spy?
I saw the way the "Inquisitor" was distracted by the Purrgil. I'm holding to my theory.
I think Ahsoka and Kanan would have sensed if Sabine was Force Sensitive, long ago. You just don't become Force Sensitive. Sabine may be good with a blade as a Mandalorian but trying to suggest she has latent Force abilities is ridiculous
The length of the episodes is something that has really started bothering me since Mando S3. If they are only going to put out 6 or 8 episodes, they should be somewhere around 45 min long each. Or Ideally an hour. Something that is 30 min long that we wait a week for, sucks! Its like just as you're really getting something established and going, the episode ends and you have to wait another week for the next one, only to hope its longer than the last.
You know the more I see of the New Republic’s leadership and their arrogance and willful ignorance of the imperial remnant threats, the less bad I feel about them getting blown up
I hope in the next couple of episodes, when Morgan goes to retrieve Thrawn, we see a battle damaged Chimaera being docked in the hyperspace ring. That would be an absolutely amazing shot.
Makes me wonder if Kanan is the masked inquisitor, he may have been burned to a crisp, but he msy have survived? Big question mark LOL
it was such a frustratingly short ep after the first 2 T_T loved seeing it all kicking it off but gahhh i wasn't ready for the credits jumpscare
What would the repercussions be if Hera decided to take Home One wherever she felt was needed, even without the republics permission.
Do you think she would get in trouble or would she get a pass for doing the right thing!?
It’s so obvious that at least one of those Senators is an agent for the First Order or some sort of imperial sympathiser group. We’re being deprived of one huge character who needs to show face in this show, Leia. I know it’s tricky with Carrie not being around, but they need to handle it in some way, because she’s too important in this period to be absent. Leia could smell the bullshit a mile off, as read about in Bloodline. You can almost sense they are setting up the crossover movie, but we need to see Leia in some way. She would be the perfect person for Hera to go to and seek help, because she ain’t getting it from Mothma with those Senators surrounding her.
Long line of untraditional jedi indeed. Anakin
Best reaction to Jacen yet :D. I hope we get what Jason wants too.
I was really hoping Marrok was Barriss Offee but now I am starting to think that is not the case. I don't think it's Ezra or Starkiller like some wild theories so just really un sure who it would be at this point.
Did you catch senator Xiono.... Kaz's dad from Resistance?
The Senator that argued with Hera is Hamato Xiono, Kazuda’s father from Star Wars: Resistance.
Horrible thought: Ezra, Sabine & Jacen all become Knights of Ren.
If they do a flashback with Kanan they should ask Freddie Prinze Jr to reprise his role in live action.
Ezra definitetly bonded with one of the Purrgill. *cross fingers* that'll be the one who gets him home.
. . . Alex 'Darklighter' Damon • ( spoiler ) presented his illustration *:*
Padawan Wren's nemesis *-* the *toasted marshmallow( THE CUP. )*
great enthusiasm • cheers.
( even a quick several choppy interference *voiceover* lines by David.O ○ !amazing )
Judging from this reaction, methinks that you liked the episode???
This episode has so many cool scenes that it felt long. 95% of Rebels episodes were only 24 mins, and usually didn't feel short. This episode had Rebel's pacing with scenes that didn't linger for too long.
Prediction sure to go wrong: Marok is actually Baris Offee 😮😊😂
this episode felt SOOOO clone wars animation, loved it
they should have had chopper screwing with her too. that shit would've been funny AH
Brilliant episode again but still way too short :D I love all the references to past shows but also some hints as to what is to come such as Sentaor Xiono who is the father of Kaz from SW Resistance
You should continue with resistance if you’re available.
I want to be there in these moments to give you a hug because I love your passion for Star Wars✨🚀💫😉
I enjoy it to.Strange thing is that if you watch youtube many say its not good but they keep watching it so it seems.Nuff said.
I heard that this is the shortest one of the season or all the others are longer.
I think it would be nice to see a live action version of all of the ghosts cool, even Freddie Prince Junior, as a live action kanen
Ezra and Saben shipper for life.
A single adult Purgil is comparable in size to an ISD, so it's gotta be BIG
Maybe so much in the next one that they had to cut this one shorter than normal (hopefully!) Hair looks great!
I love how protective Ashoka is of Sabine
that one i liked. next week going to be good WHY HEIR TO THE EMPIRE LOL 🤣
I loved the parallels between this episode and the original trilogy, particularly when Sabine was training blindfolded, much like when Luke trained with Obi Wan in Episode 4. And I got the vibe from Sabine that she didn't give up on training in using the Force was because she knew that Ezra needed her and the rest of her friends. Much like how Luke knew that his friends needed him or when he needed his friends (thinking about the end of Empire Strikes Back when Luke reached out to Leia and in Return of the Jedi when Vader and the Emperor kept mentioning Luke's friends needing him and that they were walking into a trap on Endor).
Sabine's training reminded me of a combination of Luke with the blast helmet and Ahsoka with the clone circle. As Han said, "Good against remotes is one thing. Good against the living? That's something else."
if you look at the skins on force unleased 2 there is a skin that looks like the enquisitor on ashoka maybe they are the same person? maybe its starkiller 🤔
Okay I want the training saber for Christmas. That has to be SW merc!
Ahsoka's space suit looks like Saiyan battle armor.
I suspect that the woman to the right of Mon Mothma is a Imperial sympathizer.
Am I on my own in thinking that Marrok may in fact be Esra Bridger?
I think Hera is going to go help Ashoka and Sabine anyway she’s not one to sit back and wait
