Thank you so much for this recipe for carob chips!! Just started AIP and I’ve been looking for different recipes and stumbled across your page. Thanks a billion!
I love frozen banana soft serve. I mix all kinds of things into it. I haven't tried the avocado one though, so I'm going to have to give that one a try. I love the new videography. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Thanks! That's a great question - I haven't tried that with any of these banana-based ones, only with coconut milk based ones (that are also awesome). If you try it please let us know how it turned out!
Hi Michelle, thanks for your videos with helpfull idea's. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Hypothyroiditis and been struggling with answers. It's to exspensive for me with purchasing grass fed meat. I buy mine at Sprouts but I'm sure its not pasture raised all the way. What can you suggest. Also my thyroid results came out good and my doctor said I dont need medication but I am taking vitamins but contain soy and I know its not AIP but I'm in abudget and can't afford to buy from Dr. Izabella Wentz. What can you suggest i can do and also water. I buy from the purifying water filter stands. Will that affect me? Please help.
So sorry it took me so long to get back to you! I wouldn't worry about the meat being pasture raised all the way. The diet will still work if you can't afford or find pasture raised or grass fed meats, etc. Yes, it's IDEAL to have those, but for so many it's just not sustainable, especially with the prices of things these days. Do what you can, but don't let that be a source of stress for you. (I personally mainly buy conventional meats with some organic scattered in because I can't afford to feed my family all of that either). As for the vitamins, you can keep them in for now, but just remember it if in a month or two you're still not feeling better. Then it might be time to remove them for a few weeks to see if it makes a difference. And yeah, that water is just fine. I wouldn't worry about it. You can definitely drive yourself crazy with worrying about everything, lol, but trying to get the main things out, like grains, dairy, beans, nightshades, seeds, nuts, etc will make the bulk of the difference. Then if you're not feeling better you can fine tune with the other things that may not be AIP compliant, like the soy in your supplements.
@@MicheleSpring Hi Michele Thank so much for replying. You just don't know how much this means to me. I' m just teary and overwhelmed on everything I'm going through. I don't know how to go about my health. I' m pretty sure my hormones are out of control and my OB-GYn Dr. Wanted to put me in birth control but I didn't know if that would affect me. My last blood work came out good and didn't need thyroid medication because I was on a Paleo diet from your videos. But then I started getting acid reflux that burned my throat and remembered seeing one of your videos when you challenged the salary juice and made your throat sting as well. Do you think garlic and onions made it worse? Did you get tested for acid reflux, Gerd,IBS by your gastroenteroligist. I tell my primary Dr. About my issues but she doesn't check for food allergies or if have Celiac. I'm lost. I saw my doctor in Sept. And scheduled to see me in January. Is'nt that to far out for my check up? I'm glad you had a Funtional Dr. And maybe from your experience you can guide us and help us. Since alot of us can't afford to pay a Functional Dr. I lost alot of wait, which that wasn't my intention. I want to gain a few pounds more but don't know how without putting me at risk with other diseases like high cholesterol or pre diabetes which I was able to control. Thanks to your videos I was able to follow. I would like your opinion? I'm almost 3 months in my diet from the Healing Kitchen cookbook and also get recipes from there and your videos, but my question is, should I wait till my acid reflex completely goes away or till I get tested to start re-introducing foods.I don't eat alot of fruits and vegetables in variety like I should because I don't know if it will affect reflex.like onions and garlic or pineapple. But I do eat onions and garlic but cooked. Please help. I'm doing this alone with the help of your videos and cookbooks. I can't find a nutritionist that will take my insurance and help me understand more. Thank you and hopefully I can look as great and confident as you do thanks for encouraging us and giving us hope. I hope your family and especially your son is doing well on his diabetes journey as well
@@mariaavins4105 Hi! I'm sorry as this will be short as I'm about to get on a plane for a family vacation, but I did want to point you in the direction of either using digestive enzymes, using something like apple cider vinegar in water before meals, or even looking at using BetaineHCL to increase your stomach acid. Typically acid reflux is due to not having enough stomach acid (contrary to what mass media and pharma will have you believe), and having low stomach acid is EXTREMELY common amongst people with autoimmune diseases, especially if you come over from a standard american-style diet. I am not really qualified to tell you how to use them or how much - but just google it (here's one that seems good: www.parsleyhealth.com/blog/low-stomach-acid-symptoms-treatment/ ). I personally had to use BetaineHCL for several months until my stomach adjusted, and I still take it occasionally with higher carb meals and when travelling.

Hi, Michelle, The Pina Colada was delish! I am a pudding lover. Do you have any good, easy Paleo Pudding recipes without coconut milk?

Thanks Jill! I hope you are as well!
What are some things you mix in? I'm new to this!
Hi Michele, do you know how to make AIP ice cream cones?
Hi ! Do I need full fat coco milk or regular coco milk 😊?
Hi Michelle, what are my options for oil and sugar I could use for cooking while on AIP? Thank yooou
You can see all of that here: thrivingonpaleo.com/aip-food-list/
(look at Fats and Sweeteners under the What can you eat on AIP? section
Coconut oil
Avocado oil
Olive oil
These all look delicious! I wonder what would happen if you put the blended mix into an ice cream maker and let it churn?
Thanks! That's a great question - I haven't tried that with any of these banana-based ones, only with coconut milk based ones (that are also awesome). If you try it please let us know how it turned out!
@@MicheleSpring sure i will let you know if i do! i made the cherry one without churning it and it was absolutely decadent. a real treat on AIP!
@@WillzzBillzzYT Yay! So glad you liked it! I've got a batch sitting in my freezer and think I may have to pull that out this afternoon 😀
Is it work if I use honey rather than maple syrup?
Yep, that's fine! Just use the same amount of honey that I say to use for maple syrup.
