Your circuit breaker hut: put bigger hooded vents at the peaks on both ends and that will really increase air flow. Ideally a nice ridge vent but don't mess up your tight roof. Or a greenhouse exhaust fan mounted in the peak over the breakers to kick on when the temp gets to a set point. Easiest is at least flipping the windows over so the screens are on top can help clear heat to the breaker level. Many old southern homes had transoms over doors to vent hot air before AC.
We all ways run bin fans when we get cold weather, 🥶 bugs don't like cold grain, I like to run them at night, even if you get a 40 degree low, start there then if it gets colder you can turn them on again, corn will come out of the bin in July cold, no bugs.
We have to put air on the grain as soon as it comes out of the field to get it cooled down as soon as possible. After that the bin manger takes over and keeps it at 15.5%. We never get weevils until August when it gets so hot and they run in the bins.
Your operation seems to be very efficient, but it also has me wondering just how in the world David Hula could produce 623.8439 bushels per acre of corn?
It was on a small test plot maxed out on fertilizer and everything else to make it happen. Overall yield is not anywheres close to that. Back in the lower two hundreds be fairly close.
@@joescheller6680 That sounds about right, and I've got an idea to try something on a 5 or maybe a 10-acre plot that I believe will do better than Hula's record, but it is going to be extremely labor intensive. If it works, you'll hear about it.
You will never do it on a 5 acre plot. I tell people all the time you think this game is easy harvest the plot exactly how we do and put it on a truck. I promise your feelings will be hurt.
Hey..., not to be too rude, but you keep bragging on that "white cob" corn seed producing a great crop which appears to be the case, and congratulations, those particular numbers were impressive..., but the point I'm making is that you have previously dismissed the notion that you may have gotten some bad seed corn on some of your other plots of ground?
Negative. It’s not bad seed corn. My stuff is hand selected and delivered to me. We were just under a severe drought and everything showed their true colors.
@@TheCropCritic With all due respect and with great admiration for your farming abilities, but the facts continue to point toward you having some faulty or bad seed.

Did the strom hurt the cotton
Yes. It damaged it to some extent just don’t know how much until we start into it.
Did Hurricane Elena affect yall?
Yes we got a lot of rain and wind.

Put you a mini split in there .
Eric, you irrigated some. Was that it?
No all our corn was dryland. We watered 50 acres of cotton.

Boy I could elaborate on this one.

@@TheCropCritic I take that there are some "politics" involved.
