We are back after a few weeks with no videos. Erin has been completely consumed with the start up of her cotton gin working 12 plus hours 7 days a week so she has not had to time to eat or sleep much less edit a video. Sponsored by: Agricen, NutriCharge and ADS Lift Pumps

I have seen that style of equipment .only smaller than one you got hooked up to the escavator. That thing has to be a ripper. Great job, cool video 🇺🇸💪
Yeah it’s violent.
I hear ya brother my corn averaged 105 bushel/acre. Damn corn prices still down of course. Going to squeeze us til our heads pop off...
Great job on fabricating that mounting bracket....nice work!
Great video! Good to hear from u all! Hope things get better! ....i am cheering for you!!💪🙏
I set these up and we never put a quick connect on the case drain all it takes is one thing to hit it and if it disconnects the motor explodes so just remember that dealers most of the time dont tell you because they would love to sell you a 5k motor to put on it
These quick couplers you have to unscrew them before they will come apart. Safety features built in them and the price of them showed. But you are correct about regular couplers.
@TheCropCritic good deal just wanted to make sure we have come across a few dealers that dont say anything to customers when they do there on set ups if you ever need any info on them and have trouble finding or getting it feel free to reach out we are a dealer in eastern north carolina and went set 90 % up the exact way you did yours you dnt need the valve
@@willmorning230510:4 will do.
Great job Eric.
Appreciate it.
Great video thanks!!
Great job Eric
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
You sir are very correct about timing of nitrogen. That's when she needs it! No sense to fertilize the weeds early on before it's canopy is about full with corn plants. I'd love to know your soil ph around harvest compared to planting. I suffer with low ph here in western SC bc of sandy land
Oh usually ends up in the low 6’s to 5.9
do you do custom work looks great but what does it cost to run
250$ a hour
That’s a sweet machine!
She is nice.
2024 was worst year farming for me as well, trying to figure out how to put a crop out with a smaller budget.
Yes it was
The price input s is too high but everything else is to
Yes it is but it still can be done.
Im planning on doing about the same thing this crop year. How low are you thinking about going on population? I'm going to put some in the low 20s on some sandy ridges I got.
15,000
@TheCropCritic do you think you can keep the weeds out at that population? That's the problem I've had below 20k. Grass tries to take over
@@familyfarmertn8931yes absolutely.
Awesome video!!💯💯
Thank you. It’s good to be back videoing and sharing with everyone.
it is good to hear from you guys hope the holidaies treated you well do them teeth not harpen good
Yes sir. We have been super busy trying to figure out how to start this 2025 crop.
@@TheCropCritic sure hope things look better here in a few months
Deere has their ass in a sling with warranty and right to repair hope they do not burn you on it
You and me both.
Guess I’ll unsubscribe since this site doesn’t seem to be active anymore. I sure did enjoy it.
It’s just slow right now and we have been shut completely down for a month. Hopefully we will pick back up soon.
Mr Crop Critic can't wait to see a video on that wheat man I'm curious how it would do in the rows that you planted it in
It looks really good you can see it all updated on my Facebook page.
Who’s paratill ripper was that beside the stalk shredder?
Belongs to my brother in law.
I can't believe that yall didn't go up in the St. Louis Arch! What happened? You missed the fun elevator ride. And the pictures 📸. Hello From Texas!
Really enjoy the videos. My name is James moore l farm in obion and weakley counties tn. We got killed on our corn yields in 22 82bu Avg. 23 was not great and 24 non irrigated low 160s probably just miss insurance. One of your videos were you saying you liked DK 69-99?
I like to know if y’all get up land cotton payments cause y’all can’t make it on 69 cents cotton. We don’t grow cotton in the middle part of La. and we have a brand new cotton goo that maybe ran 4 years. All cotton farmers where going broke. We now grow sugar cane and that’s where the money at. Thank god we can grow that here are we couldn’t make it on soybeans and corn. So I know what y’all are fighting buddy!! Good luck man.🙋🏼♂️👍
There is no government payments for cotton growers. But I will say cotton is what pays the bills for me to play in the grain farming part of it.
Helo from israel😊
😂😂😂. Just like me. Get talking to the camera and forget to put accumulator in automatic. I did it a couple times this year. It’s tough to self film and do your job at the same time!
Have a Merry Christmas Crop Critic! Griggs wants to borrow Amigo! Lol!
How often do you sample, every year ,every other year, and do limit the number of acers per composite sample?
That’s a great question. We sample everything because that’s our baseline road map for next season. Now we line about half the acres if so because of the cost of things now. We pulled one composite for every 10 acres. Each plug we pull about 10 samples in a circle to the the sample.
They call him the FIREMAN!
You said a half a mill to a million for soil sampling?
No for your fertilizer plan for next season.
Wasting a lot of money composite sampling. Girds or zones save and make you more money
Not here they don’t. Our land is not set to grid. Nobody grids around here because of it.
@ you have big fields compared to the Deep South. We only use the grids or zones to apply our p and lime
Our biggest field is 80 acres. No big farms around here.
It does look like a lot. I’ve only been through the south and it wasn’t picked yet. I’d really like to ride in a picker.
And really missing that 3rd man but y'all do a hell of a job lots of acres for two people
Yeah we missed Pablo but we got it all done. I appreciate the kind words we do work extremely hard for the acre’s we farm.
Curious how your wheat is coming along
It looks really great up to this point.
You didn’t know how bad i wanted to grab the radio mic and say hey your accumulator is full. 😂😂
Ha yea I normally get yelled at over the radio in Spanish that it’s happening!
Can't your son help you?
He does help of a evening. He’s still in school so that’s #1 around our place.
What’s the reason that all the cotton is not picked?
This was back in November. We are over a month behind on our videos.
I mean off the stalk. Is it something to do with the bolls?
Cotton is just more visible of what is left behind other than grain where you can’t see it until later. I promise you would go broke with what’s left behind. There isn’t enough to make a Q tip out of.
You could accomplish the same thing without Cobra. Discbine your beans at the desired height.
Did you get your auto steer fixed?
No we didn’t. We are going to Elton it this winter.
Do you have a video on how you have the water pump set up that looks like a good idea I burned up my 7215 last year mowing stalks
Ours is plumbed into our water tank that supplies water to keep the spindles clean.
If you can have someone watch for the parts houses that go under or move and sell the contents, it helps quite a bit. I bought Hydraulic hose machine and a 90 ton press from a moving NAPA! The press is a little big, but was cheap. You just have to write down the fittings used for reorder. I forget stuff. So Hello from Texas!
All right guys
Good ole John Deere
It always 100% if you under that 15%.
I find interesting to learn about cotton harvesting! Up in Pacific Northwest it's there's to much rain to grow cotton!
It’s a very interesting crop to grow. Thank you for watching!
Good luck buddy trumps going to help us out we my it
Need it sorry my fingers are to big
I was hoping so but the new farm bill has already been smashed by the democrats.
I see the 8r in the back is it a new one to you guys?
No I borrowed it from my brother in law.
@TheCropCritic 10/4
I think that you can trust a field goal kicker more than a weather man! When are you going to sell the Reed Farms merchandise? And Hello From Texas!
Go to wwwfarmmerchbin.comm to find our merchandise store.
Did yall get a new tractor
No it was a loaner from my brother in law.
I had one of those cooler go out on Mack truck I thought I was running a steam engine how many bales per hour with the new gin
50bph.
I don’t know if will work or not make a door on header or suck use felixble vent pipe to clean up after choke ups just a thought So you can close it back up
That's part of farming
In furrow right on top of the seed
Those are some pretty red barns on that farm
Yes it’s a beautiful place.
Helo from israel😊
Thank you for watching!!
