and then running in the SSE, but don't worry he isn't a slug he still moves at top speeds, and its still very fun to use him at those top speeds, and I really also like using him in places like The two Research Facility stages and Subspace Bomb Factory as those are the closest things to a Sonic does a base infiltration thing as well, but I prefer wide running stages, they really should put more chances to get lives on them because I usually quit and start over as Sonic when I die as him.
and I get disapointed when I die as Sonic because that means I no longer can run at those fast speeds. I like the stages that have really long running spaces so I can just zoom right across them at top speeds like the plain, or the beginning on the Halbred in the sea of clouds stage.
Wow, I didn't know so many other people agreed, well one thing I did notice is Sonic moves slightly slower in the SSE than in the other modes, he doesn't move like a slug, oh no he still moves at very top speeds, its just he moves only just slightly slower enough not to run straight off the screen like normal modes, though I'm unsure if thats the enemies making him move slightly slower or not, but anyways try running back and forth between Green Hill Zone and then *2bcont.*
and his minions were nowhere to be seen, doesn't make it any better that Melee's adventure mode featured Zelda enemies during its first stage. Oh well anyways I'm glad we share a same like about the adventure mode.
real shame too. If he had been added sooner there might have been a stage in SSE to suit his speed also I'm going to be kept wondering every time I go into the SSE, and every time I talk about this of what his role could have been had he been added sooner but I'll still settle for it, at least he never got turned into a trophy and if he hadn't broken Tabuu's wings to weaken them no one would have been able to match the Villains power, though still at least I can replay stages as Sonic.
Yeah, I really wish they had kept race to the finish in Classic mode (which breaks a Super Smash Bros. tradition by the way since it was in all previous games) so i could have played as Sonic and see how far I could get before having to stop, Sonic would have made Race to the finish easy but it would have been so fun to play as him during it, I mean with that kind of speed I bet you could get pretty far in a mini game like Race to the finish.
Actually when I said make a stage for Sonic, I didn't mean copy a Sonic like side-scrolling game exactly, I just meant make a stage in the SSE that suited his speed with wide spaces to run across and not too many forced battles and no background scrolling (as I would have liked to play through a stage that suited Sonic's speed) as for why Sonic was added late, well he was added in 2007 (forget when) so it wasn't that they couldn't come up with a story it was just since the SSE *2bcont.*
so I would think Sega would have no problem saying ok to Nintendo about Sonic's SSE level (had one existed) just so long as they got to oversee the thing and give some input in it and well you know have the same involvement they had with Sonic being made as a fighter, the Green Hill Zone Stage and the rest of the stuff they worked together with Nintendo with in Brawl.
Other than the facts that it looks like it was recorded with a video camera and that I could tell that there were parts that were blatantly not from the Subspace Emissary, it was awesome still, though there will always be things that give away its not a Sonic game, like the Nintendo items and characters in the video, but anyways I love playing through the Subspace Emissary as Sonic at that super fast speed, like a weird kind of Sonic game and I get disapointed when I die as him *2bcont.*
it wasn't that they couldn't come up with a story its just that since the SSE was mostly completed by the time Sonic was added it would have been a hassle for the team to go back and change the story and the whole thing would have resulted in another delay of the game, still I keep wondering what his role could have been if he had been added earlier in production, anyways I don't think Nintendo would get sued by Sega and Sonic Team for making a SSE stage that suited Sonic's speed *2bcont.*
Well he was the last character added and most of the SSE was finished by the time he was added (though I read on this board that one guy read somewhere that Sakurai regrets not being able to use him sooner) (though I'm unsure about event matches as there was two matches where you played as Sonic one being in single events playing as Sonic and the other being co-op playing as Sonic and Mario also I'm unsure about squeezing him in All-Stars as well) real shame too if he had *2bcont.*
Though I have to say I get little annoyed with levels that have the back scrolling (such as the beginning of the ruined zoo or that one part of the lake (at least i think it was the lake) or some of Subspace) because it restricts me from running fast, and I also kind of get a little annoyed with forced battles but not too much as I actually like fighting enemies (though wish there were more famous ones than just the Mario ones I mean Ganondorf was also one of the villains and his *2bcont.*
I don't think Nintendo would get sued by Sega and Sonic Team for making a stage that suits Sonic's speed or even one that has a bit of a Classic Sonic feeling to it, remember a stage in the game is based off of Green Hill Zone from the first Sonic game so all Nintendo would have needed to do (if Sonic had been added earlier) would be to work together with Sega and get their ok and approval on if they could make Sonic's SSE level the way they want to and they get along really well so I *2bcont.*
that... was... AWESOME!!!
nice dude keep it up
Sonic: Here we… GO!!!

They should make a REAL commercial of the game titled Sonic in nintendo World.
