Another good interview with Greg! Thank You!
Another great interview. I could listen to Greg talk about the bee business all day. Thanks for putting these interviews together!
Thanks Mike!
Nathan and Greg, thanks so much! Greg thanks for you willingness to share, you helped me so much last year with expansion, nuc and queen production with sharing the rule of 2 in Bob's series!😊
👍
Outstanding interview Nathan! As Greg so intelligently pointed out , “slow and steady wins the race!” 👍👍
👍

Thanks Dave!
Great Information!!! Always great to hear from someone that’s been there and knows the business.
Thanks
Interesting and insightful interview. So rewarding to create income from a source that brings you sweet joy. 🍯
Our local bee keeper delivers our honey order to our home. He told his wife that I was such a sweet lady. I told her it was from eating their honey.😂
Ha! Thanks!
GOOD job buddy and WHATTTT 65 years old wow...
What an awesome guy, great interview Nathan
Thanks Aidan!
So interesting how each beekeeper business finds its own 3-4 legged stool to balance on.
I love hearing from other beekeepers how they structure things.
Excellent Excellent Excellent! I tumbled to the foam board insulation by accident... I used it originally to keep the bees down in the boxes I took off during inspections and to reduce robbing when removing/inspecting supers. It was easier to leave the foamboard on the hive year round than to haul it around so just got some more and made one for each hive. Have had lots of 100% winter survival success so perhaps condensation isn't an issue?! Who knows for sure. Keep the mite counts down low too and tumbled to that as well as a constant maintenance task while waiting for better genetics.
Thanks Nancy! I’ll be working bees this week. You still have snow?
Excited to hear you are able to work bees it will be late March before before we might get a chance to dig deep. Yes we still have snow - received a second storm that dumped another 4 inches on us and now temps are staying near freezing so its not going anywhere anytime soon. Before the cold spell hit I did manage to put out some frames with partial honey from deadout nucs for the bees to clean up so they got a little extra "food" and then added half of a global pollen patty to tide them over this cold spell. @@DuckRiverHoney
Good advice from Greg.
Thanks!
Two thumbs up.
👍👍
Hey Nath, a long time since I’ve commented. I see a lot has happened since a last watched but I’m so excited to see you are still here and turning out great content.
You have got yourself some sound equipment I see. Someone has been buying some nice toys.
Anyway I rewatching all your building a bee business as I am out to step into that world. Love to have you as mentor in the coming years. Wayne
Good to hear from you Wayne! I bet you’re headed into winter.
@@DuckRiverHoney yeah mate. If you can call it that in the tropics. It’s autumn here heading into winter and it’s 79 degrees and nearly 10 o’clock at night.phew. All the bees are still hanging out the front of my hives.
Great conversation
Thanks!
Thank you for all of the work you do to make these interviews happen!

UA-cam has made a huge difference for me, I've learned so much from Kamon and Bob and the University Of Ghulep and now I'm really enjoying and learning from your content. MannLake is posting more educational content, Betterbee has some stuff... There really is just alot of quality digital content out there now. Its great!
Thanks!
