To write and perform what he did was one thing, to edit and design all of that, and then to recreate an ensemble of Pauls with his editing….this was inspiring, truly. “You clap when they catch.” 🤩 YES, you do! Patrick, Individual & Ensemble….he competed in “I & E” as a soloist in Winterguard International, a global stage. 🤩 He was S P I N N I N G, not twirling. 🤓
I just joined colorguard as a freshman and I be seen alot of shows since this was probably one of the most beautiful shows/solo I've ever seen and it really inspired me to work hard for my team.

Keep in mind, one wrong move with any of that equipment, even the flag and you can get hurt. I was on a lower level than this very much but accidents happen blood comes out and you have to keep going through the show. And the athleticism! I hope he gets everything he wants. I wish guard was more prevalent in people's lives, like ice skating or cheer leading. Its almost a perfect mix of both and it doesnt require anything besides focus and practice. You dont need to be skinny enough to be held in the air, you dont need to be flexible enough to do the splits even. I did winterguard for 3 years and I LOVED it. I wasnt even a band kid, i just fell in love with it on the field and found a local group. Sadly, we only had 15 girls at our peak, so most of our performances were outdone by groups of 30, where its less easy to see a mistake... We still managed to get a second place trophy in the state tournament in our division my first year. I believe we were independent A? I could be wrong though, its been years 😭😭
Coming from a fellow guard member who does both indoor and outdoor I’ve never seen something like that ever. And honestly I’m liking it. That in itself could be a different type of guard that’s neither indoor or outdoor.
i can’t believe i just saw this ?!? this is so insanely beautifully and well done, the choreography calls for such a high skill level and this made cry like a baby 😭 i lost half of my HS guard experience because of the pandemic ; and was disabled because of it as well. i can’t perform or compete myself anymore. so the sentiment of dreaming about performing hits so hard. i am a guard director now though; and it’s crazy how full circle this have been to be able to give me the ability to interact with an art form so much.

I’m currently in the 8th grade but I’m actually the capitan for a high school color guard group. I don’t know if anyone has any advice on teaching or even just learning new moves. I’m not as good as most of people assume so I’m super insecure about it. Thanks 😊
