  • In this video I am sharing my thoughts on the Piranha Tooth Bar from Bxpanded. This tooth bar is capable of fitting many different size tractors, as it can be ordered custom fit from their website. I purchased this tooth bar to help me with boosting the digging capacity of my Kubota BX tractor. When I purchased my tractor from the dealer they recommended that I check out this tooth bar as an accessory for my tractor. It also can be used to easily cut/rip up small saplings since the design of the teeth allow for a tight grip in the corners of the small teeth.
If you want more information about the tooth bar or to see what one would cost for you. Check out their website:

Yes. I have liked it so far. It has been handy. I do not leave it on all the time though as you can not use it on hard surfaces like a straight edge

I push most of the tall stuff over then dig in with the tooth bar. After its all loose I back drag with the tooth bar down to get the rest of the over growth.

Harbor Freight step bit works fine. $13.99 for 3. The piranha is must-have upgrade imo. I don't know how I got anything done before it.

Harbor Freight would be an option as long as there is one near you. Not everyone has one close by. Thanks for sharing!

Which bar did you order from the website? Did you order the one it said was for a BX or did you measure your bucket and buy that measurement? I have a bx2380 and want to make sure I get the right fit. Thank you.

I ordered the one labeled BX. The option to measure your bucket is if you don’t have one of their pre-selected options.

Scott Walker - great thank you so much for the video and and quick reply. I am going to place my order now based on your review. Was having a hard time removing sod and leveling some in even ground. Hoping this will help.

It does help with cutting into the soil. Leveling can be tricky it mainly comes with practice and time in the seat. I am always working on getting better myself. Where I live there is red clay so it can be tricky to work with.

I provided them both my model number BX1880 and the inside bucket to nearest 1/4” which was 46”. The bar fit perfectly and the 3/4” step bit I ordered with the bar got through the bucket very quickly. I was dreading drilling those holes in the side of the bucket but this bit went through like butter.

I have never seen a review on working in gravel. Anybody try this?

I am sure it will dig through gravel fine but it would not do a good job at smoothing it since it is jagged. I would probably not use mine on gravel as that would wear it quicker and reduce the sharpness of the edge which makes it so good for digging in the soil. I have a normal straight blade that I use for snow and stuff like gravel.
