I put a piranha tooth bar for my Kioti to scrape packed snow off a parking lot. It worked great for about an hour then the edge started rounding up from the bottom. Was completely worthless in less than one day of use. Unless your working in soft dirt, don’t waste your money. The design is a great idea but the metal is way to soft.
I have had a Pirahna bar for 4 years and it has been great, including cleaning my blacktop driveway off in our Northern Wisconsin winters. The Pirahna bar is made from AR steel. That being said, BXpanded has huge lead times and they really don't give a rip about pleasing the customer.
Running both is the same as running them on a sanding disc. The grinding material, in this case the road doesn't give a shit what the material is. They both ground equally, just as any steel, regardless of grade would suggest a sanding disc. Also, EA has there blade design STARTING were the piranha is when it's worn. So, in essence, as stated, the piranha is sharper from the start, which makes sense that when worn, will look like the EA does from the start, and the EA when worn, starts looking like the piranha when new. Your choice, get it sharp from the start with piranha, or wait till it's worn hoping the edge gets as sharp with EA. The piranha also has larger ROUNDED lugs to secure the bucket, and if it's on tight, you can use a mallet to bump it off. I wouldn't want to use a mallet on the shark teeth on the EA. As a heavy equipment operator (Cat 928G) I know, as others have mentioned, that the teeth on a bucket are for creating purchase points to make entering or digging into the material easier. I love EA. Have some of their attachments and will be getting more. I also love my Piranha tooth bar. I have 400 hours on my Piranha and it is never removed from my bucket. You are correct in that the Piranha is a mild steel but what you are missing is that this feature allows it to be self sharpening. I don't push my Piranha across asphalt but I do use it for moving dirt, sand, rock, shale and wood. If you back drag the Piranha it will sharpen just like stoning a knife. I just finished moving 350 tons of shale and then leveled the same with the Piranha flat on the ground. It's as sharp as it was new. You may slightly dull it with one task and it will sharpen with the next. The bottom of the Piranha is still flat and the angle of the cutting edge has remained the same but I operate the bucket with that in mind. Also if one wanted to hand sharpen the Piranha, the task would be relatively easy. There is absolutely no play in the Piranha fit to my bucket and it takes a mallet to loosen it up when I remove it for painting. I would expect that if a bar is made of much harder steel, then the tooth configuration and cutting angle would also have to be altered for optimum effect. Therefore, using a Piranha as a baseline for your design template may not be optimum. I would like to see a varied tooth design - some that are effective for cutting into soil and media and others effective for scooping rip rap and prying roots, stumps and logs. I'll keep watching as your design progresses.

Not sure this test was not compromised. That said, we all know it’s possible to destroy anything if you work hard enough at it. Whether moving dirt or gravel both these bars should perform well for many yrs.

I’m in the market for one of these bars…. But the price difference isn’t exactly close….it’s well over $100 more for yours. Do you offer any promo codes or anything to persuade me to buy yours?
Hey David, the Wicked is more for very good reasons, and it's not because more profit is built in. It's because wayyy more value is included. You're spending money on something that's 100% made of metal, and Wicked is the best metal you can invest in. Hardox 450 is superior to the soft mystery metal in which another manufacturer won't even disclose. Besides material, Wicked is wider, front to back. Our wedge keepers are placed in laser cut holes and welded on top, and smoothly on the bottom for unmatched strength and rigidity. We cut the overall length exact to the measurement you supply. The laser cut, serrated WICKED teeth are designed to dig, rip, and grip unlike any other bar ever created. The milled bevel, which is sloped at a much more aggressive angle than the cheaper toohbar in question, allows you to better slice into material like a hot knife through butter. I hope this justifies the price difference. Most Wicked Toothbar orders have been shipping in 4 weeks or less, and it ships to your home via FedEx Ground. We look forward to welcoming you into the EA Family!
The highway department is going to sue you for tearing up the road! I love your videos and your company. Worse has happened for people over shooting their driveway with a snowplow. I’d hate to see anything bad happen to a wonderful company like yours. Better edit that part out!
Hey Everything Attachments. I just watched your son Charles on the Netflix series FASTEST CAR Season 2 Episode 6. I never knew you raced!!! That’s awesome
I would be far more concerned about the effect of hitting a large to medium sized rocks when digging. Obviously scraping roadways isn't the purpose of a tooth bar. Digging in abrasive and rocky soil should favor a harder metal as long as it's not so hard it chips.
Just curious, how much did the department of transportation charge for the roadway damage after seeing this? Second question, who's great idea was it to drag the bucket on a public roadway? Just a tick of advise. Take this video down and produce another. Your tooth bar may be better or just a good tooth bar but I can't get past the idea that the guy who made it is the same guy that dragged a public road with a tooth bar. Food for thought.
Friends don't let friends farm drunk (without calling other friends to watch). You'd have to be drinking to grade asphalt. This isn't a practical use but whatever.
the camera guy was moving a LOT... at first we could see the cutting edge but after the test I had to rewind and use the pause to really have a good look at them. still cool video, I guess your municipality loves you a lot lol
Thanks for watching and commenting! Hardox 450 is the strongest, hardest, most premium material in the industry. The aggressive laser cut teeth and milled bevel on the Wicked bar is superior icing on the cake. It is also 7" wide, front to back, so it is also better in that regard.
Like others have said not a great test of a prototype product. Heat is a big enemy of steel, so the question remains how well the EA product works based on dollar value. How expensive is EA vs Piranha and does it work significantly better?
We haven't looked into the price difference lately, but probably around $100. With EA, you're investing in 100% Hardox 450 Steel. No secret that it's the most premium, durable, strongest wear resistant steel in the industry. The best money can be spent on. Material, along with the more aggressive bevel and serrations make it a no brainer for those who want the best. Thanks for watching! why would you put that piranha tooth bar on your bucket and drag it down a city street not sure it was intended for that purpose do a comparison of ripping up dirt with it
Unreal! Can't believe you did that to a Public Road! This destruction to Public Property, has convinced me to stay away from this company and it's products.
This was our first prototype. We didn't start shipping until the 3rd revision, and it is far superior to the piranha, with a milled bevel and very aggressive laser cut teeth for ripping and digging. 100% AR450 steel is superior to anything else in the industry, and the Wicked is also wider, front to back, than the piranha. Thanks for watching and commenting!
That’s not what a Piranha tooth bar is designed to do. Dragging it down the road proves nothing. Use it to do actual digging in dirt and clay. Then you will see which design is best. I have two Piranaha tooth bars and they are excellent

I can't get past all the karens commenting on destruction of property and how its not a good test. The scratches on the road are superficial and are just scratches, didn't hurt the road one bit at all. The state also didn't pay for shit, that company probably pays more in taxes per year than most of these bitchin karens pay in a lifetime, get over it. The test is made to be extraordinary because noone would sit here for 20 years watching a guy dig a pile of dirt showing how little its going to wear out. That's the point of him beating the hell out of the equipment, it shows you the limits (if they can be found even) so you know the product can handle it. If you have your doubts about this company and have not bought from them before, they make good stuff! You won't be disappointed.
I have a piranha tooth bar on my tractor and wouldn't change it for nothing there is hardly anywhere at all, I can pick up big rocks and feel my whole bucket up when I do it with no problem not saying your products not good but I do not believe it has the advantages of the piranha tooth bar. I would have to grind and sharpen yours, I wanted to be able to shear through trees straight out-of-the-box. Good luck with your product.
That was our first version, which never shipped at all. We made it sharper and MUCH more aggressive before it got to the final Wicked design, and it's been awesome. Thanks for watching. www.everythingattachments.com/EA-Wicked-Tooth-Bar-for-Tractor-Buckets-p/eta-wtb.htm
The piranha tooth bar is sharp like a knife and the ea tooth bar is blunt to me that's not good for digging in dirt as a regular bucket should work as good.
This was an early prototype, and the sharper, more aggressive WICKED is all that we've ever shipped. 100% Hardox 450, so it'll stay Wicked sharp much longer than any other!
Not to mention the fact that Ted specifically mentions that he’s testing them both with the loader in “float”. I guess he was hoping we all forgot the first test with the front wheels off the ground.
For one, the state does every time it snows, but they take out grass, mailboxes, driveways and such. Thanks for watching and commenting. It really helps our channel.
@@EverythingAttachments I'm certain they are using a toothless bucket to clear the roads for public safety. Are you really comparing the state attempting to clear roads (who own the roads) to you doing a UA-cam video as apples to apples? You can clearly see the grooves in the asphalt only on the part of the road that you're doing this on. I'm one of dozens of people commenting on this... listen to your viewers. You have great products, its just a shame to see you use them to destroy roads that tax payers paid for to prove a point for a video.
Who in their right mind would do this to their equipment? I have had my piranha tooth bar for a couple years now and still as sharp (don't bump your leg on it) as when it was new. When I work in my gravel piles I simply take it off due to it only takes a couple min. I can not see how I would ever ware the piranha out and as cheap as they are I would simply buy another. I love how I can take out 2 inch small trees by the roots with no stubs sticking up for tire damage in the future. Just my opinion after owning a 6' piranha that cost me $300 dollars with free shipping. How much is yours?
Sorry I just can’t imagine dumping my bucket onto my concrete pad and running across those saw joints with my tooth bar at 10 mph. Not sure what the point is. Pun intended.
For testing, we do many things that most folks can't imagine. It allows us to find weak points, if they're present, and improve upon the design if needed. Yeah, other manufacturers aren't as transparent as EA, but most of our customers appreciate the efforts. Thanks for watching and commenting!
The Pirahna is intended for a much different application. Just like grapple buckets, industrial are for hard matters as opposed to milder steel for its intended use . Of course I would never use an industrial Grapple for mild tree branch & sappling work and that goes the same with hard & very heavy materials, These are in affect price point sensibility, again proper equipment contingent to job demands. I would never use a 120 hp machine in a 1 acre lot that requires mild grading and excavating, 60hp will generous for the application. EA products are excellent, however so as the BX products I would by both for intended purpose and price point in mind.
What a silly "test". Dragging flat across a street surface. That is not how tractor buckets are used. Obviously a concocted test to load the dice against the piranha toothbar. This is why I look for independent tests by third parties and not put much faith in the biased "tests" by the manufacturer. Next time I want to sjave the whiskers off a road, I'll contact EA.

The more I see of this test the less likely I am to ever buy any EA piece of equipment. Very shady business was revealed here.
What say you Ted? Defend the test with some honest answers or redo it FAIRLY. Silence is guilt.
Yep
Yeah,saw that too
There's test then then there's a Ted test. Love the videos and real world experience. Be blessed
I’m sure the county would LOVE YOU! LOL
Not sure this test was not compromised. With the Piranha, the camera was squarely on the blade when on pavement, where as the second bar tested showed only a view of the back of the tractor. So I’m not convinced this test is any more accurate then our last election. That said, we all know it’s possible to destroy anything if you work hard enough at it. Whether moving dirt or gravel both these bars should perform well for many yrs.
Thanks for watching. Do this with a piranha and get back with us ua-cam.com/video/mhi-eUE8YGY/v-deo.html
And didn’t have the wicked on the ground as long as the Piranha either. I would definitely say it was compromised.
MEEHHHH...., hardly a definitive test, you didn’t even leave it on the ground around the corner and up the slope like the Piranha bar, for what I seen, the Piranha faired every bit as well! 🤷♂️ I assume your bar came up too short on each end just because it’s a demo? Otherwise each end is going to hang up a lot of dirt or whatever material your loading on the brackets. Not persuaded to buy your bar what so ever.
This may be true, but I can tell you one thing...BXpanded's customer service if F'ing terrible. I was told 3 weeks for the piranha Bar and 7 weeks later and multiple lies, I still didn't have it. Canceled my order and will never order a thing from them, no matter how good their product may be.
Also when he he left with the Piranha he had the front tires off the ground. So not in float. Total bullshit test.
@@SJG-mt6vd I agree BXPANDED should have just shut down if they are so concerned about da Rona. I really don't see why a business like theirs is affected that much unless it's the supply of raw materials that's the problem. Their fabrication guys aren't in contact with the general public so it seems they should continue working.
OMG that is sooooo illegal running that blade down the road!!!!
Even Peanut thought this was a bad idea for a test run.
Our highway department doesn’t even let their blades ride on the road when snow plowing
The NC DOT don't care, because they don't have any money to fix roads
@@ethanlong2782 They are wasting it all on building the stupid interstate through ENC to Beaufort. Dumbest road project ever.
County roads employee watching this:
👁👄👁
Well thats a "road" test!
Thanks and great to see you back making videos! I have learned so much!
Thanks Ted & Travis. Anxious to get mine and appreciate the response!
Hello
Ok Ted.... I know it's tough .. I wanna see it in action.
Snow plow and front end loader clean up
Can you cone up here to N.W. Arkansas and do some testing ? We have these things called "rocks" in our soil. I'm wondering how this stuff will do.
The township is thrilled I'm sure
Friends don't let friends farm drunk (without calling other friends to watch). You'd have to be drinking to grade asphalt. This isn't a practical use but whatever.
Looking good guys.
How is it in float when the front tires are off the ground for piranha and not your model?????
It was only not in float for the first few seconds, then you can see him bump it into float
do you do one with out the smaller teeth in between
A better edge for sure. I'll buy once I have the need.
the camera guy was moving a LOT... at first we could see the cutting edge but after the test I had to rewind and use the pause to really have a good look at them. still cool video, I guess your municipality loves you a lot lol
I’m gonna be honest all this video made me want to do is buy a piranha bar. Y’all put it through a tougher test and it wore the same as y’all’s.
Well I ordered one for my Kubota L4701 this week.
Awesome!! Thanks so much for the business. You're gonna love it.
How is this not copyright infringement. Looks exactly the same minus you made slight changes. Also your test is inconclusive for its purposes and your driver clearly favored your version for the stress testing. Based on your other comments I'm sure your have good product. But please give a real review of field work.
Kind of like how they copied the Land Pride rotary cutters. 🤷🏼♂️🤦♂️😂
I just picked up my Wicked Tooth Bar and its way better than you could imagine, the edges are razor sharp from the lazer and cut into small trees and rip them out with almost no slip on the stem! I have no affiliation with Everything Attachments, but I would not be afraid to take their word on anything going forward. I'm a customer for life and will buy all my attachments from them.
Thanks for the business and such awesome words! We look forward to assisting you in the future.
You convinced me to use AR 500 for mine also
Anyone notice that the material for the piranha bar is not mentioned anywhere? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Same to you, William. And Merry Christmas!
Hope the highway department supervisor doesn't watch youtube tractor videos
why would you put that piranha tooth bar on your bucket and drag it down a city street not sure it was intended for that purpose do a comparison of ripping up dirt with it
At EA, we test products well beyond their intended purposes. Here's another example ua-cam.com/video/jiX3KoDbHRE/v-deo.html
And another ua-cam.com/video/84d9WEZccyo/v-deo.html
That poor road!
North Carolina department of transportation don't have a care in the world about the roads because they wasted money on land they didn't even need.
Unreal! Can't believe you did that to a Public Road!
This destruction to Public Property, has convinced me to stay away from this company and it's products.
ok well this got me sold on the Piranha
Thanks for commenting. Actually, this was our first prototype, V1. The first Wicked toothbar to ship was V3, so we did our homework and real world, well, actually out of this world Ted testing prior to settling on the design worthy of our Wicked name, which is what you get by choosing EA. Check out the growing number of customer reviews and some very interesting information in the pics shown on this page. Oh, and another video of us using one as a forklift ramp!! Link www.everythingattachments.com/EA-Wicked-Tooth-Bar-for-Tractor-Buckets-p/eta-wtb.htm
the piranha tooth bar is made out of mild steel you can drill a hole right through it at least I did on mine
Noticed did not run the wicked bar on the cement road
That was abuse! The Piranha is not designed to be used that way! I have one on my L2501, and it works very well!
Yes, that's what we do. Abuse attachments to make sure they're ready for whatever. WICKED is ready for whatever abuse one may inflict. #MaterialMatters!!
I bet Ted would be fun to drink beer with....assuming he drinks like he runs a tractor.
The piranha tooth bar is sharp like a knife and the ea tooth bar is blunt to me that's not good for digging in dirt
as a regular bucket should work as good.
This was an early prototype, and the sharper, more aggressive WICKED is all that we've ever shipped. 100% Hardox 450, so it'll stay Wicked sharp much longer than any other!
WTF dose this prove besides trying to rip up the road. I came here to see an attachment, all I'm seeing is destruction of public property.
Not to mention the fact that Ted specifically mentions that he’s testing them both with the loader in “float”. I guess he was hoping we all forgot the first test with the front wheels off the ground.
This makes me want to never buy another EA product. Who the heck does this to a public road?
@@EverythingAttachments i would be more concerned about my $30k worth of concrete than my $400 tooth bar….
This guy is crazy, putting it to the public street all in the name of a test. I'm sold if he isn't scared, then why should we be.
Normally an informative channel. Fell short this time…in a ridiculous way!
HARDOX 450
Was NOT a equal test done more scarping on the first one
that's against the law
This seems stupid to me
Not the same thing floats everyone's boat.
Great test, real world, and unfiltered view of what happens in the field.
Hello:::: I just heard of this bar. I wish a State Trooper was setting on other side of road when he dropped the blade. That Dumb Bass would probably be going to Jail. I now wonder what other Clown moves he makes. Does EA, Piranha and Wicked Tooth Bar make these Bars. Now I don't even know if I want one.
