Scott... I can't tell you HOW MAN times I've THANKED YOU for sharing the measurements of your log arch!! I built mine to your specs and I've LOVED it EVERY time I've used it!! Just used it again today to move some mammoth sycamore logs!
Neat to see another method of getting firewood out of the woods. I've been just bucking the logs right where they lay, using a $40 pickaroon to bring the rounds out to the nearest trail on my property, then hauling with a little dump cart back to my splitter.
Thanks… but I do the same as you for firewood. These logs are for lumber. I use the log arch to keep sand and dirt off the logs and to keep from tearing up my property.
cool! Quick upgrade suggestion- weld a 30" section of chain where you use the tie down strap and a hook on the opposite side so once you lift the log, the chain drops down and all you have to do is hook it on the other side
@@gman77gas 10 years of carrying pine, black locust, cherry, and oak logs and no problems. I’m thinking I’m gonna be ok. I’ll let you know when/if it breaks.
Now instead of bending to try and find the chain, take a piece of wire and push it from one side under the log, then hook the chain onto the tip of the wire and then pull the wire and chain from underneath the log. Now you can easily unhook the chain from the wire without bending down. I like the way you think.
Gawd I remember huffin logs all day all summer up hills down hills. Logs that were way too big for me and my brother to be safely handling. Ruined my shoulders and back even before i was 13. But it was either that or freeze to death in the winter.
This is a very ancient technology. It's nothing new. The pipe industry and construction field have used these since "forever". It is most commonly called a "Grasshopper".
This has nothing to do with the product, just hope you always check for rattlesnakes before putting your hands under the log. I've came across quite a few rattlesnakes under and along side of logs.
Why not just drag it with the chain down the road why go through all that trouble of building a little specifically designed cart with an axle seems like a waste of time when a $5 chain dragging it down the road is just accomplishing the same thing
I tried that but it was creating ruts all over my property, and, when it rained, washing out my trails. I guess if you don’t care about that, then a $5 chain would suffice.
All these over engineered log haulers are a big waste of time. I see the one that has a simple grab and pull as the best solution to getting wood into the ramp fo4r sawing.
My regreted father used to say " If you are not strong you've got to be clever ". This man is both !

Great job on the no BS video, absolutely putting one of the log movers on my winter build list. 👍

Built one this weekend to your exact specs and tried it out. It's amazing. Thank you!
I shook my head when I heard that skeeter!
Twice, haa haa, nope three times lol

Лучший экземпляр что я видел , очень простой и функциональный !
It's nice working by yourself. No one hollers at you for not backing the atv right to the trailer.😊

Great suggestion! I did exactly that about a year ago! Great minds and all that…

Обязательно такой сделаю себе. Пригодится не только брёвна перетаскивать. Это приспособление многофункционально!
Thank you for inspiring me to better ❤️😍😍
Looks great. But I would think a "spine" over the top "T" would keep it from bending/ breaking the weld.

Start cutting it into rounds to lighten it up and plop the rest down strategically to finish it off. Fantastic idea!
Super Idee!!!

What a brilliant idea ☺️🥰👏🏽👏🏽🙏
I like it. Building one just like it right now.
neat idea buddy
Scott! you are a genius! Also, handsome genius, too! ^_^ good luck!

Aha. The bumper and strap so it doesnt hit the front. I will steal that idea. Thanks. I am making an arch for my tractor 3 PH.
Интересно и познавательно. Спасибо за видео. У нас пока дожди. Буду испытывать свою самоделку.

good job, wish my father knew that when I was a small boy, we had to carry the wood way too far, you can bring it right to the wood shed

I have absolutely got to build one of these! Thanks for the video.
Very nice, you kept it very simple. I’m wondering how heavy of a log you can carry ?
0:50 и 2:10 здорово стерео эффект, муха пролетела как в реальности.
Кому что))
Good idea. Thanks for sharing.
Would a Honda recon 250cc 2x4 get the job done?
Very nice
Just goes to show ya that the best tools are often the simplest!
I've often been called a tool and the simplest, does that make me the best?
Good show!
I made one self, but I employ ratchet cable set up.
Pictures, please!
Did you make this?
the asmr mosquito sounds. motor chugging away.... felt like i was there.
Brilliant!! where can I buy one
Where can I get one of those
Great idea
I’ve been wanting to make one myself. Nice job!
Hmm. Nice, did you build it or buy at the frontier store? What will I do with my ox?

Yes, with proper acknowledgments.

Do you have the plans for the log arch. I could get a lot of use out of this thank you
I don’t, but I recently made this video. m.ua-cam.com/video/t5dtoLL21WI/v-deo.html

You are very smart.
Gente no UA-cam tem cada idéia genial, e eu fico vendo acompanhando todas e tendo novas idéias também
Just extend it out and put another set of tires on and you could haul 5-6 logs out instead of one at a time. Like a small trailer. Just a thought.

shane chambless , sorry, I didn’t record the build. It was my first welding project and I was focused on getting that right.
Looks nice
T Clodfelter sorry, no. But I plan on modifying this soon to add a winch lift. I’ll be sure to add measurements at that time.

very nice build, im wondering where you picked up the wheels / tires, im finding it hard to find them that wide, thanks craig
Thanks, got everything at fleet farm

They look alot like golf cart wheels and tires
Best thing go to junk yard and remove rear wheel bearing unit that bolts in . bolt to metal plate and use the car tires as and rims
That is an amazing thing
Чим простіше тим надійніше супер бажаю. удачі
Smart man.
I don't think its right. I think steel V is supposed to be on the log not in front. Just by observation.
Pretty cool...
So u have a atv and chain why need the cart
So I don’t erode my trails.
Nice jugad
Very good
Nice work but you should have it so the tongue end extends out longer its hard on atv when so much weight is so far back
Great work non the less

Thanks for your concern, but there are no poisonous snakes here in Central Wisconsin.
Grasshoppers, we use them in pipe trades for 40 years.
Nice job dude but don't carry the straps hanging out of your pocket like that. They are an accident waiting to happen.😐
