When listening to Fish and reading recent comments on performances I think people are living in a past time. What I'm trying to say is for a minute think if someone was judging our life now compared to when we were at our PEAK. Fish for a lot of people put down on paper a lot what was happening 3our lives and what was happening in our heads. These can never change and for that he will always have a certain place in our lives. As in all our lives the circle always turns and so when I watch Fish now ,yes I know that he's not the energetic young man I saw in Belfast in the mid 80s but he's still FISH who's lyrics even to this day can bring me to a place in my minds eye at the press of a button....
Sure it's not the same as the 1987 version but you can still hear the passion, I think standing in that crowd would still be a magical experience! I will go see him in a month :)
I understand the comments re fish to quit, but people want to see him regardless, marillion fans surely won’t judge him for gods sake, none of us go on forever
it's strange when this song is played in a total different key than the album version. Much lower key, I guess they did that for Fish, he cannot sing it in the higher key anymore. Sounds like a complete different song.
His 2008 performance at loreley left me shocked. The band, nothing that comes even close to MARILLION. His voice and charisma are done. No more emotions in the old MARILLUON-songs and also the magic has gone. The last great Fish performance I saw, was 89 with the vigil-tour. Sad to say but I prefer nowadays much more emotional acts f.e. Pain of Salvation or Hurts (no prog).
@@LeoRdgz Oh yeah?So you say his voice has gone?I disagree.Yes he`s older, happens to us all.How many times have you seen him in concert?Have you met him personally? No didn`t think so,i have.So keep your stupid comments to yourself and why are you here watching him if you don`t like his voice and its gone?Hmm???
His voice changed not gone. Be respectful for what he's has giving you . He is still giving, differently but is. When u love somebody you love them as they change through age.
@@JesperH1967 Maaaan, this is a crap performance. Just look at Hogarth, his voice and energy... I would be happy if Fish was nearly as good as he once was and I like him, but this is just sad.
@@somogyilevente2677 Then don't watch it. Fish can't do the high notes anymore, but if you listen to his recent releases, his low pitch voice suits this style perfectly. If you want a precise version of Slainthe Math as you know it, you should listen to the original album instead ☺️

This is so good. And it's a bonus to get the lovely Doris Brendel on bv's and flute!
Fish for ever
So great thanks

Año tras año...tan talentoso y cuanto mas señor como el vino... BELLO...GUAPO,TALENTOSO,ORGULLO...

Fish will live forever
👏👏👏👏Fish , gostaria de velo aqui no Brasil. Canta muito, carreira brilhante tanto na fase Marillion como solo.
One of the greatest singers of all time... But know when to retire...
at least a great poet and a very carismatic person.
True
Even though it's at almost the same tempo as the album it feels so s..l..o..w. Possibly because of the key change.
Clutching at Straws is last good Marillion album.
Merci hellmuut pour cette vidéo, je pense que j'étais à côté de toi 😁
Et merci Fish !!!
Even though this version is kinda weird he’s still Fish the wizard 🌼

im number one at the end of the Bar, Bar of justices

I wish fish wouldn't move the mic. to and away from his mouth. Very uneven delivery.
The greatness of an artist should tell him when to retire. Dear Fish, please, let the curtain come down. Let us remember your days of glory.
My fav song from my fav album but this sounds all kinds of wrong, not the least of which is Fish’s shot voice. Sad.
It's down tuned so far, by the next tour the lead guitarist will be playing a bass
Hahahahahaha
the problem is, the band is nothing without fish, and fish needs the band
Oh dear! Shame, as I love this song!
His magical voice has gone long time ago. 😔
No it hasn`t,lets see you do any better?
@@volginicity are you serious?
I've loved Fish's voice all my life but unfortunately, since many years ago, his voice has gone.

Poor Fish... this is sad to watch... :(
Why? He is aging as all others - but his popularity is bigger than ever....

ça fait pitié...Hogarth surtout n'écoute pas et ne regarde pas cela...
Bal de province, fête foraine...
Even the audience sound out of tune 🙈
