Aw Man! Thank you! Much appreciated, please don't buy the hoses I bought WAY TO STIFF, I'm thinking of using a damn cheap dryer vent hose. I'll see what it does in the warmer weather, but I have zero hope. I thought I WAS buying the good stuff.
Looks like it is working for you. It is definitely a problem for bandsaws. However you can reduce the open volume inside to get more suction to the ports helps. I have pieces of cardboard inside trying to channel the air where it’s needed for better suction, seems to help some. Stay safe.
@@dtork47 Thank you very much! I can honestly say after one day with these hoses, they are garbage! I’m hoping they loosen up or I’m switching out with a cheap dryer vent hose.
What an amazing find! My shop is really tiny with basically no available space at this point, but I just might be able to find a spot for this (especially since it can be mounted on a wall). At $125, I think I HAVE to find a spot for it.
Good stuff, John! Could installation be any simpler? Didn't you make mounting it more difficult than it looked? I thought I saw holes in the tubular frame (just saying, not criticizing). Did you mention price? Also, I didn't see it down below. Am I that old that I'm missing all this stuff?
Yeah I could have said more, but then you wouldn't have questions!🤣 The mounting hole only would allow the motor to hang vs being attached. The Mini Dust Collector was 150.00, Hoses 36.00 ea. I don't recommend the hose. Hell I would have been better off with a cheap dryer hose, I actually may do just that. We'll see. 7- Hose Clamps @ 4.00 ea. There are product links as well. Thanks for keeping me on my toes!
I was impressed after watching the video. So, as I searched the web for where I might get one, I came across one at Harbor Freight (of course), that looked similar. That's a great tip about the dryer hose. I'm thinking of using the same set-up as you for the band saw. When looking at reviews I saw a lot of "not recommended," I think because a couple of fellows were trying to use it on a jointer...hmm, must be new to wood working and didn't listen to you explain the PSI requirements. Believe me, John, I'm not trying to mess with you, but I think I have an early on-set of dementia because I CRS, or see it either. Have a great day and thanks.
I see anew project coming for my bandsaw now . Thanks , You got yourself a new follower.

@@dtork47 Yes the actual dust blower is fairly impressive. It’ll really help ripping boards.
Thank you I learned something with the tape you used the amount on the wall didn’t know that thank you
@@jimstraba5772 Thank you Jim! Just the little things we learn along the way to make things just a little easier. 👊

Glad I could help you out! It's a pretty amazing system for a small shop system and you can't beat the price. Thank you!
Great video
Thanks Jim, trying to get er done!
My brain full-panicked watching your hair get sucked into the blower 3:21
Right I thought Oh S*&^ while I was being cute!! Me TOO!!! delayed of course!

There is a link in the product link, but I think I can find a better price at Grizzly like I did. let me add it.
Hey Tim, I got that link set up for you right in the description. Thanks for the reminder. It's even cheaper right now for less than 150.
@@BuildwithMooney thanks.

Although I appreciate your advice, this channel WILL NOT turn into a TOOL channel like many others or me pushing products on you, it's not my style.

@ It's all good, I appreciate the conversation most people seem to have trouble with. Thanks!
You only made this video to show off the size of your hose!
