We appreciate you guys taking the time to review the EvolvR Combat Stock. It has been a great experience for all of us as we launched it. In addition to our own military and personal experience, we all came from the body armor industry where the issue of shouldering the weapon in body armor and gear was a common complaint at trade shows and events. The EvolvR Combat Stock solves this problem and the data from users across the United States strongly supports it. Thank you again for your review of the EvolvR. Very Respectfully, The Valiant Dynamics' Team!
You bet! Great product and good luck to you guys. A couple of us are currently in the Army and we wish we could use the EvolvR with our issued weapons.
I seen this advertised last winter. Hit up valiant dynamics and they sent me a T&E sample. Was thoroughly surprised to find that it has merit, especially when shooting barricades with gear on. I'd say for what it was intended to do, it hits the mark wonderfully. The only thing I don't like about it is the "spur-catch" that shit needs to go imho, but outside of that it's a great product. I'd spend my money on one.
We'll work on shortening that up in the future. We're podcast people who just started getting into UA-cam. We can't all be GarandThumb quality right away lol.
Just really seems like a gimmick. Obviously I have no time on this to have a valid opinion but just my thoughts. I’ve never had any issues with a regular ar stock slipping off of me with or without body armor
Well I can honestly say that the benefit to clearing the top of your front plate easier is pretty legit, and probably one of the main benefits in my opinion. It's not as big of an issue if you have a front plate with a swimmer's cut, but it's noticeable with SAPI's. Also, comparing that stock nylon M4 stock to a rubber-backed stock, there is a noticeable difference in how easily it "slips" off the armor shoulder strap. We're not saying that the rubber-backed aspect is a proprietary thing to the EvolvR, but we just meant to highlight that there is a benefit in the material change (nylon vs. rubber), in that aspect, regardless of the stock type.
Only a person who doesn't actually train would consider this a gimmick. Those of us who do train know how frustrating it can be while training in kit and having the stock constantly slip off the plates. The only valid question is, does this stock actually solve that problem, because it absolutely IS a problem and thanks to physics, it's a problem for everyone. So if it's not a problem for you, like you say, it's because you don't train.
Bring the rifle to your face not your face to the rifle. Your posture is wrong and this stock only forces you to hold the rifle incorrectly. The tip of the stock goes in the pocket of your shoulder, not down on the plate carrier.
I'm thinking you would rotate the spur to the 12 o'clock position. Then it would sit on top or follow the natural contour of your shoulder pocket... Just a guess...
Hey Mike, it feels decent. It is wider than a traditional stock so it has the same surface area contacting your shoulder. The only thing is that I rotate the rubber "finger", that hooks onto your vest's shoulder strap, into a different position when I'm not wearing armor. Honestly, like I said in the video, I prefer a traditional stock when I'm just wearing a shirt, but this thing really shines when you have a plate on your chest. It makes a big difference when you have a bulkier plate carrier or plate - i.e. a non-swimmer's cut.
I have not had the issue. You adjust the rotating piece before placing it against your shoulder. The spring in the rotating piece is really strong so it doesn't separate while in use.
it is ugly as heck, and aesthetically does not blend well with the AR platform in my opinion, But I like it! however I do think the rear portion is overly wide, but I would still use it, I kinda dig that stealthy look unfortunately, I do not where body armor.
I honestly couldn’t care less to watch the rest of the video. Once I hit the two minute mark and you’re still on about companies I’m out. I get you need to pay bills, but my brother in Christ, damn near 25% of the vid this far was shilling.
@@navydoc8695 but is it..? I know it’s adjustable but it’s really more like an extendable buffer tube just by the shape of it. But yeah probably not legal
No way would I use that thing, it is way to ugly. I dont care how well it works, if I dont look cool shooting what's the point? Miss me with this. Further, If my rifle can not make other grown men jealous, Is there even a point in exercising my to 2A rights, or even having the 2nd Amendment, period???................LMAO!

Talking about sponsors stops and meat of video begins at 2:10
Holy FUCK 1/4 of the video is damn sponser advertisement!!!!

I thought the same thing until I actually used it. It's not a gimmick, niche for sure, but not a gimmick at all.

A Fleshlight for your gun... Neat I guess, if you're into that kind of thing.
So what happens if you're not wearing body armor? Seems like that spur would be pretty uncomfortable jabbing into your shoulder.
I'm thinking you would rotate the spur to the 12 o'clock position. Then it would sit on top or follow the natural contour of your shoulder pocket...

That is correct. I'm sure it is different from person to person though.
Really to curious to hear more opinions about this. Looks like it was built for a purpose.
If you shoot around barricades with gear on, it's great. If you don't, not so much.
Glad they come in fixed for us guy's who live in those silly states.
Those days are coming to an end soon
How is this stick feel using it if you don’t have body armor?

Is it possible for your body armor or clothing to become pinched in between the rotating piece(butt pad) and the stock?
I have not had the issue. You adjust the rotating piece before placing it against your shoulder. The spring in the rotating piece is really strong so it doesn't separate while in use.
how much does it weigh?
Just placed my adjustable version on a scale and it comes out to 10 oz.
whew. if it works for dudes that can use it, i’m glad. but my rifles gotta be a little cuter than that 😂
Ramble ramble ad ad

Very interesting
Look a Fleshlight stock!

Can I have this on a AR pistol? Without getting in trouble!!
It's a stock, so....

👍
Just show your product. I’m not even waiting to see the product after shipping a quieter way in and you’re still talking
Thanks for the feedback, Dutch! I hear what you're saying, and we'll try to tweak some things in future videos to improve that.
5 minutes into the video before actually seeing more than 2 seconds of the product. 👎
You talking way too much. Hence the fillers.
If it was metal id buy it😄
Love the idea, hate the look, detest the price
