"A man that could sing, dance, loved his mama & was beautiful." Haha! You don't know how many times I just used that fact that he could DANCE to explain the female reaction to Elvis! When you laid it all out there like that, it's no wonder women threw themselves at him; I just never got the chance.

ELVIS IS STILL THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL!!
Danced with the love of my life, my late husband Don, to many of Elvis’s records...
Elvis was an absolutely drop dead gorgeous MAN... I started dancing to his songs when I was about 10 years old...and now I am 75 and 1/2 years-old...and I still rock...or sway...to his music... I will miss his talent and voice up until I take my last breath...❤️

Actually it was Elvis first time back performing in a few years and he was actually nervous being in front of people again and he had practiced so much his voice was a little off - and he did occcasionally forget a lyric or two but he was still having a lot of fun being in front of his fans again and worried if they would still like him as much after being gone so long doing movies and not performing etc. But the 68 special did great and not too long after he started performing in Vegas on a ten year contract then the Hawaii special in 73 and the rest is Elvis history.

I won a radio show contest and the prize was a day with Elvis but our friendship lasted past that one day in time. All the memories of my friend are tucked safe in my heart forever. i saw him numerous times he was amazing he was not only my friend but a big brother as well. I never will get over his death it haunts me everyday seeing him in video's dancing and singing breaks my heart because i know he is not here anymore my mind understands but my heart never will, i saw him a few weeks before he passed he said kiddo everything will be okay i said E. nothing will ever be okay again, i was crying so hard he gave me a little kiss on the cheek and said i love ya kiddo always remember that okay i said love ya too E. that was the last time i saw my friend alive again. I walk past Graceland everyday without fail. Anyway i loved your reaction i hope you will watch more of his music videos love from Memphis Tn.

At first he primarily did energetic rock-n-roll. He got the leg bouncing to the music, and swinging the hips and some called him Elvis the Pelvis. TV wouldn't show him below about mid chest. But then he started singing slow love songs and got the women swooning. THAT is the voice every woman wants to hear in the dark. Doesn't matter what you look like, brother. If you sound like that in the dark your problems are over.

THis was a big deal for him because if he didn't kill it his career would have been over. The producer said "Elvis I haven't asked you for anything but you gotta go out there". He goes and performs that.

Maybe you should read " Destined to die young". Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. He took perscriptions to deal with his Genetic health problems, his enlarged paralyzed colon, Glaucoma, Antitrypsin Deficiency, a condition which can result in lung and/or liver disease both of which he had severely at the time of his death. Elvis was never a smoker or drinker. He had Together with the immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, which plagued Elvis all his life and caused him to constantly fight various infections. His “inherited” weak heart, reactive arthritis, and the impact of his nocturnal lifestyle, resulting in a lack of vitamin D, the effects of which contributed to respiratory infections, reduced immune function, and inflammation.
Of the 11 bodily systems that operate to keep us alive and hopefully healthy. Critically, Elvis suffered disease or disorder in nine of them! And five were present from birth and pre his fame. His heart (circulatory system), his lungs (respiratory system), and his bowels (digestive/excretory systems) required medication. Insomnia affected his nervous system……His immune system was compromised. His urinary system was not functioning properly. At one point there was even talk of dialysis.
Often he is dismissed as just another rock ‘n’ roll drug addict. He wasn't taking street drugs. He was taking perscriptions not to "ESCAPE" h was taking them to try to maintain some sense of normalcy as himself in a time where the medical field was limited. No DNA, Genetics, No MRI's, little known about the addiction, his dystrophy & No understanding of Vitamin D even.
Looking at the illnesses and disorders, that mounted upon each other over the decades, it’s no coincidence that Elvis’ prescription drug use increased as his health declined. From ear infections to chronic tonsilitis to recurrent flus to eye infections and glaucoma…..these arguably insignificant ailments independently, grew into something more. As his body broke down, alongside multiple immune system disorders and genetic complications, prescription medication and his handy PDR tried to fill the gaps. When that no longer worked, hospital stays became the norm and his list of ailments grew.
The sicker he got, the more prescriptions he was prescribed. He was seeing a cardiologist before he bought Graceland. He was 20yrs old. They have gone through Elvis's entire life of medical records & now have an entire different story now. This is all the facts Geraldo & 20/20 never stated.

He said he lived at Graceland n got to know the human side of him. He would say I'm lonely n the guys would say how can you be lonely when you have millions of fans He said they knew my Image not the human being I'm Charlie died in 2006 n when I was at his funeral I could not stop crying. I miss my friend but I know he is in Heaven singing Harmony with EP

You've nailed it on Elvis. Part of his 'swag' was his own irreverence toward himself, you didn't see this star who acted perfect and untouchable. He loved to laugh, even at himself, he loved music and the fans. His music could be raucous fun and others were deeply moving. Top all that with his smile, and drop dead gorgeous looks (part Cherokee) with that perfection of voice... that's the King.
I am so so glad to watch a reaction video to Elvis, you are mentioning things that we take for granted, we love without analyzing, and its so refreshing to hear a first time listener say all that goes into him being him. Great Video, thanks!!
I grew up on Elvis. I was born in 1960, and my mom was a big fan, even at 5, 6, 7 years old, (and up until I left home at 18!) my mom played Elvis records (and Johnny Cash).

I remember watching the 68' Comeback Special when it was originally broadcast. I didn't have access to a TV at the time so I really had to go out of my way and pull in a lot of favors to make sure I didn't miss it. Elvis on TV was a big event, very BIG! This is what a lot of younger folks don't realize what was normal for the day! There was no way to see it if you missed the broadcast, period. There were no VCRs, no DVD's - no nothing. If you didn't see it when it was broadcast it was gone forever. There wasn't even the possibility of a VCR in the future, never was in the works, it would be like something from science fiction. Hell, color TV had only been around for 3 years or so. So, If you missed the broadcast, you missed it, all you could do is read about it in the magazines or hope it would eventually come out on an album, just for the music. Everything today is just a click of a button away, wow, has the world changed since I was 18, amazing, didn't even see it coming.

@@Wildlife_SA. My parents won a B&W TV in a drawing from a department store in 1949! TV was brand new and no one had a TV. So, I grew up watching TV from day one, I was born in 1949. The Milton Berle Show, Perry Como, The Jackie Gleason Show, Phil Silvers, I Love Lucy and The Lone Ranger. I know a lot you folks never heard of some of these shows, but you can look them up on UA-cam, it's amazing and the commercials were hilarious. Australia didn't have TV until 1975, Wow! You're probably a lot better off for it in the long run, no bad influences and a lot less brain rot!!

I want to see more of that smile so how about reacting to "It's All Right" and "Tiger Man" from the '68 Comeback Special and "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" from 1970. A little background info: In the 4 songs you just watched Elvis was reunited with a couple band mates that he started out with at the beginning. When one yelled out "you're gonna get arrested boy" he was referring to when the police would warn Elvis before a concert that if he wiggled around they would arrest him. Elvis said in Florida he could wiggle only his pinkie finger. And the guys used to call him my boy, my boy.

I remember when I was a little kid, and 55 years old now, listening to my mother say that back in the day when Elvis came out, parents didn’t like him because of the way he gyrated. They didn’t like the way he moved his legs and his body and how much the girls would scream over him. What are the most enduring things that I love about Elvis is his lips and the way he can move them when he sings he has such control. His daughter Lisa Marie, looks just like him. His grandson, the son of Lisa Marie, died this last year or so. Elvis is a big thing sweetie! If you ever go to Memphis, Tennessee, you have to check out Graceland!

So many things I admire / admired about Elvis - His tribute song to Martin Luther King Jr after he passed away --- If I Dream! Beautiful SONG!!! How he supported the Black Community IN SO MANY WAYS! I remember when one of the concerts he was going to perform at told him "Don't bring those black girls / his back up singers" He said then cancel the show because they are coming with me!!! He was HUMBLE!!! His Faith in Jesus!!! He had said to a lady with a sign at his concert saying King Of Rock to come upon the stage and he said politely "Thank you, I do appreciate it but the only King is Jesus Christ! He never liked being called the "KING" he stated that many times! Fat's Domino was HIS IDOL!!! Chuck Berry was the one that influenced his dancing performance He said! The COLONEL Killed HIM! Expecting so much out of him he was so sick and while in Vegas for years Elvis was so sick he couldn't get out of bed and the COLONEL INSISTED HIM GO ON STAGE!!! THAT WAS IN 77 RIGHT BEFORE HE PASSED AWAY AUGUST 16 1977 I REMEMBER THE DATE ITS MY BROTHERS BIRTHDAY --- MY DAD PLAYED AND SUNG ELVIS SONGS HE HAD AN ELECTRIC LIKE THIS ONE AND ACUSTIC MY DAD HAD ALL HIS ALBUMS AND EVEN THE "MOODY BLUES" ONE THAT WAS LITERALLY BLUE!!! Elvis just had such Charisma you could not stop looking at him!!!! RIP ELVIS YOU CHANGED THE WORLD OF MUSIC!

EARLY & PLAYFUL ELVIS - What a delightful 18 minutes of pure joy -- I was in junior high school when Heartbreak Hotel transformed the music world. To get an idea of the impact Wiki says "The Heartbreak Hotel single topped Billboard's Top 100 chart for seven weeks, Cashbox's pop singles chart for six weeks, and the Country and Western chart for seventeen weeks as well as reaching No. 3 on the R&B chart, becoming Presley's first million-seller, and one of the best-selling singles of 1956. Heartbreak Hotel achieved unheard feats as it reached the top 5 of Country and Western, pop, and Rhythm 'n' Blues charts simultaneously"
The other pieces on the 4-song set were his early works, punctuating my teen years.
