I know right! I'm sitting here now in my kitchen with a nice hot coffee and this video it's become a thing for me on Saturday mornings. Love this channel the production is really top notch. Chris has a great eye.
9:57 Just revisiting old videos. I bought this table last year, based on your recommendation. I chose this one, over the others, because the magnets mean no pin holes to rattle and one hand operation. This table has proven itself completely rattle free and consistently useful. It holds groceries, a Coleman stove, morning coffee and even my tablet when I'm watching movies at night. I love this table and I wish more people knew about it. Mine does look a little different and sits a little lower, so I think that he is always improving the design. Oh, one more thing. Kootnai is pronounced KOOT-nee.
I have so much fun watching your videos.... I get a snack and something to drink sit back and put you up on my 50 in. screen... it's like watching my favorite outdoor show on PBS.
Well Chris, I didn’t think your work could get much better, but I must say this week’s installment raised the bar much higher. You’ve always been a master of composition, color, and storytelling, but this week I felt inserted into your experiences! You have such a great sense of mood and movement. Fridays can’t come soon enough! Thank you so much for transparently telling your story!
You captured Fall beautifully up north buddy! The mountains are just starting to change here in the Blue Ridge Mountains! You’ve been gone too long and we miss you, come visit again soon!
Chris, I have watched most of your videos and this one is the best yet, the photography is great . Thank you . Many times I come away from your episodes with a strong sense of loneliness, but not this one, the scenery must have been too friendly and companionable . I plan on hitting the road in my 2007 MB G55 in two years, God willing and you have made Montana an absolute must do I can hardly wait!!!
BREATHTAKING BEAUTY COLORS SCENERY VIEWS VIDEO ! THE TREES LOOKED LIKE A FAIRY TOUCHED THEM WITH THEIR WAND & TURNED THEM GOLD SOOOOOOOO COOL ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED !
Hi Chris, thanks for having me "with you" in Glacier National Park which I have seen 20 years ago. I remember a heavy thunderstorm after dark - thunder like someone hitting giant sheet metal plates with an oversize hammer - and after that a pack of wolfs howling for half an hour. Next day we unintendetly chased away a black bear in the woods .... so good to see this undisturbed alpine landscape again !
Chris, I have wandered in that area recuperating from life as it were. Watching your vlogs gives me a peace of a former time, a journey of healing and rebirth. I know the journey will stop at some point but u till then your adventures save me from reality. Bless you.
Beautiful Chris!! My wife and I spent some time in Montana this past summer and fell in love. Thanks for sharing your amazing week, makes Friday's even more enjoyable!!
Thank you Chris. Incredible cinematography of the natural beauty available to us. My early Saturday morning coffee just tastes better watching your videos. You have inspired me to take more road trips to explore Thank you again.
It looked sometimes more like an fall, instead of the fall hopefully nobody get hurt. Even if the snow makes it cold, it looks beautiful and the the colours shine brighter, and you can still go on an adventure, hiking in the rain makes me feel mad. Nice video again, always exited for the next Friday.
When you came into the U S you where only 150 Miles from Coeur d Alene , Idaho where I live! I have been following you since you left the U S earlier this year. What a trip.
Really enjoyed this episode since a lot of it is home turf. Glad to see you're not using the toilet for a table. Love that drive between Eureka and the Flathead. Check out Backslope Brewing, across the highway for Mud Man in Columbia Falls; great food, great beer.
Just found your channel and I love it! I was watching your 4/28/17 video where you added the 3.5” lift and was so happy you were in Lewisville, TX. I've lived here for 2.5 years and just love it. I'll have to meet Jason sometime, as well as you if you ever pass through again. (I couldn't comment on that video so I just thought I would put it here on your most current. All my best!)
Nice video! Love the Fall colors. Your Jeep's color just matches with it all. Makes me want to get into my suv here in Texas and start driving north right now. But stuck at this full time job! So can't just get up and leave.
These videos are truly inspirational and beautiful. Thank you for posting them. Someone mentioned this in a previous video and I am also very curious: Bears! You are in bear/ mountain lion country. With the food in the jeep, I'm completely amazed you havent had issues and encounters. You are a brave man going on those hikes alone. I hike alone as well and did meet up with a bear once. Scared the heck out of me. And when you went into the cave, I was like nooooooo dont do it!
Chris I,m on edge when you explore alone(slippery conditions by drop-offs and a cave-can you say bear or Mountain lion) also curious how many times have you gotten a flat or a breakdown in all those miles you travel and how do you calculate fuel consumption- I know I sound like Debby Downer but inquiring minds have to know I guess that scenery intoxicates you to throw caution to the wind
Dude! You do know where you are right? You do know there are Grizzly bears around there? Why would you be walking into caves then? By the way, what kind of camera are you using for these scenes? Outstanding!
Cool! Daily “cheese” sandwiches on processed sponge bread, lots of pizza, high sodium canned food, and Spam! Should add some fatty bacon while at it 😉🙈
Nice video ,Chris ! Every Saturday morning it is always our Saturday morning family breakfast time ,we love it . But I se you sometimes struggle with loneliness...that hurts me , I am in the same stage of life like you and are building and preparing my trips an vehicle ,a old G wagon Mercedes from the army ,but I have trouble with the hole idea of traveling and leaving my kids and lovely wife . I don’t no what to do ,somebody any advice ? Thanks for reading this out . Levistre hugues Keep rolling Chris we love it .
Hugues, I am in a similar boat but the difference is I still love my job and have been doing it for 53 years and will miss it terribly . I will miss my sweet wife- who has no intention of camping or traveling with me- too much ,so I plan on traveling no more than 6-8 weeks at a time and then return home for a while to recharge and then if the road suits me go back out again.I too have medical issues as most 73 year olds do but I do not intend to let it stop me.I have a rooftop tent and some camping gear and will add to it as I can. Anyway my advice to you Sir is to try it for awhile to see if you like it. There is no law that says you have to commit to an extended journey or deny your self the joys of Family. By the way what G wagon do you have?
Jack O'Connor hello, Thanks for your advice and support, now I am from February at home due to a prosthetic wrist surgery . I was a blacksmith from my 14 year and started to work as independent smith until my 30’ ,al this hard work and overbearing of my body has resulted in this now . But it is the hole situation that troubles me ,we wanted to travel together whit my wife when we where at the age of retirement. I will not be able to work again for 14 a 16h a day ,it was al declining for to year and could only work on day and one day I was totally broke the next day ,the pain is to Much ,I have CRPS in my left foot and now since the last surgery in my right wrist also ,and on morphine since 2014 .thats makes al this histories so difficult. I thank you four you’re interested and advice and find it remarkable what you cane do at this age ,nice really 👍🏻. Hope you like the FB Page . Kind regards Hugues .
I found your facebook page and your old truck looks good. I used to own a 1990 MB 250 German Army Wolf which I really liked a lot. I unfortunately had to sell it since my wife and I are downsizing and only wish to maintain two cars, her Lexus lx350 and my 2007 MB G55. Your health issues while painful and annoying are not life threatening so you should be able to function quite well camping and traveling. I presume you live in France, and Europe is so much smaller than the USA there is civilization always close by you should do fine. You are doing some very serious restoration work on your car and I just wish I could do work like that. I hope to see photos of your adventures soon.
Hey Chris, another great video! Can you supply us with Dave Ross's contact info? I have searched for a place to purchase the Dixon JK Table online and I have struck out. Thanks!
Some people are excited because Friday is payday, I get excited because it's when the next venture4wd video drops!
I know right! I'm sitting here now in my kitchen with a nice hot coffee and this video it's become a thing for me on Saturday mornings. Love this channel the production is really top notch. Chris has a great eye.
As usual... love how simple and how natural you are. Nothing fake about you brother.
Thank you for the inspirations.
You are so correct. Very simple but nice videos.
You couldn't have said that any better. Spot on.

I do it on my big screen too. I love living vicariously through Chris.
Every time I see a new video I first click the video, then click like, and watch as another amazing masterpiece is displayed.
When i watch i just melt into your world and enjoy the ride!

What an extraordinary drive towards Glacier, I’m envious.
I'm glad you managed to get a fold down table. I remember you talking about wanting one a while back.
British Columbia is beautiful. Every time I see it I fall in love again.

There are no words to describe how much we loved your video.... absolutely EPIC
Great video, crazy how cold it is already. Those trees are amazing. 🇺🇸
Love the new table. Since there's a large gap inside when it's folded up, I wonder if it could be rigged to have slide out extensions on both sides.
Hi Chris, thanks for having me "with you" in Glacier National Park which I have seen 20 years ago. nice video. Great country shots. You make me want to turn my Jeep into a overland unit, but my Jeep is half the size.
Just found your channel and I love it! I was watching your 4/28/17 video where you added the 3.5” lift and was so happy you were in Lewisville, TX. I've lived here for 2.5 years and just love it. I was just on Hwy 40 camping out in the region over the last 4 days. I've got the same tailgate table and I can say there is no rattle at all.
Such Diverse Beauty in the States...... so much variety...... But looks cold, i dont think i would survive it
What a fantastic journey!
Great vid! Kahtoola microspikes should be on list of items to get for winter hiking.. Save yourself a broken tailbone :)
Thanks for the trip!
Nice video! Love the Fall colors. Your Jeep's color just matches with it all. Makes me want to get into my suv here in Texas and start driving north right now. But stuck at this full time job! So can't just get up and leave.

Hey man, you really need a drone!
There are awesome views

Another great vid, can I ask what camera and lens you are using.. The quality is just fantastic. Thanks
Cool! Daily “cheese” sandwiches on processed sponge bread, lots of pizza, high sodium canned food, and Spam! Should add some fatty bacon while at it 😉🙈

Great job ,very interesting videos 👍
How can I get one of those tables for my jeep?
2 years later watching this because the Canada border is still closed and can't adventure up there!
Great videos! A really wonderful job you do. Eat more veggies, my friend! 🥕🥒🥗🌽🍅🍠🌶
