Hey there! I have questionable hygeane, drive an Overlander jeep and live in a nice temperate location! I like big red tomatoes and stuff them with flair...all I can spare. I've been to 36 countries, speak 3 languages yada yada and I'm pondering driving/hiking through Patagonia someday. My 13 year old son comes with me So, much like a job interview that I just bombed, I'm just putting ...my awkward ...foot forward to say 'hi'! I enjoy your videos, - ...you are inspirational, and keep it up! (Just kidding on the questionable hygeane, oh kind people of the world wide web). ;)
Everything you make simple, but with a great job. Your worked shots, your respect for nature, your quiet journeys without forcing your Wrangler, your friendship with people, simply great.
The shot in the grocery store made me chuckle. I've been going through a divorce this year, things are better now but your videos have played a part in helping through. I look forward to them every week.
WOW !! NO WORDS CAN DISCRIBE MY JAW DROPPING RESPONSE TO THIS BEAUTY!!! YOU MADE POSSIBLE FOR ME TO SEE!! YOU SHARED IT WITH SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES IT IMMENSELY!!TKU !! SO VERY MUCH!! AWWWSOME!!!
I was watching the first half of this video, thinking to myself how you seem to capture solitude...even in the most populated of places. When you acknowledged your loneliness, it struck a chord. I feel that loneliness too, even though I’m surrounded with people. There’s worse thing than being alone, like being where you only needed, but not wanted. If you ever find your way to TN, I’d be happy to buy you a pizza.....
Hey I follow you for a very long time now and enjoy it every time ,it makes my Saturday mornings breakfast,we sit than with my lovely wife and daughters and it makes ore family’s morning. I am in the start of restoration of my G wagon I am halfway in the process ,and than I while hit the road also . My goal is to start rolling in the end of next year ,I have no destination yet ,I live in Belgium . I right you this because you’re not alone ,I have mailed you in the past whit no answer, but it’s not a problem. Keep on Vloging an rolling,we love it . And if you want to talk ,we will here it . Greetings ,hugues Levistre
One of the best videos yet. As someone who drove a truck for 20 years I can sympathize with your feelings. I was never seeking a relationship like most people but that was mostly because I just didn't want the life most people were living. I would love to share great experiences with someone but I kind of hate people and few people want to do the things I like. So maybe someday, but maybe never. Just wait and see and be ok with whatever happens.
The scenery is spectacular, and the filming/photography are top shelf. What I like is the video is almost therapeutic. The noise of the tires on loose rocks, the whine of the gears and the hum of the engine. All done at a low, calming pace. The reflection of your jeep in a puddle, and you taking time to enjoy the moment of a snow fall makes this my favorite YT channel. Thank you!
One of my favorite places on the planet. Awesome video. You deserve more subscribers. Not sure why people aren't finding your channel but it's their loss!
Catching up on these now. I love Banff & it's great seeing it again through your video. I traveled to Banff from the States in my motorhome, but I'd love to repeat the trip driving a Jeep as you have. I'll keep watching your adventures while I work the 9-5, or actually 12's.😎
Thanks Chris, that was great!! Love the top of the mountain footage and the grocery store at the end. I'm sure one day there will be a hand that reaches for the same tomato. Thanks for sharing!!
Breathtaking!!! Canada is beautiful. Thank you again for wonderful videos. They cheer me up and make me laugh. I am inspired now to be outside more. Maybe a trip to the grocery store...
O Canada 🇨🇦 such breathtaking beauty - visited Jasper and Banff when I was young - still remember my breath being taken from me literally at the beauty - thanks for all you do!! great memories!!♥️♥️
They are all good, but this video is one of your best. I appreciate the time and effort that must go in to the making of these videos, but maybe a one off special video an hour long? Just a thought. Stay safe.
You do understand this is his “job” right now, right? I agree he’s getting better and better at documenting his travels, but he’s getting sponsored to do all of this. An hour long video? Nah, you wouldn’t have very many people who would want to sit and watch an hour long UA-cam video.
@8654 Zulu Foxtrot Actually a lot of people would watch that. A majority of his audience would. And also, they came out with this really innovative feature called the 'pause button', dunno if you have ever heard of it. Sure, he has a couple sponsors but it's not like he's made it to the big-time gravy train yet...so not sure what that comment was about.
I guess you have access to and are currently corresponding with the majority of his audience? Oh wait, you aren't? I guess you've been elected to speak on their behalf then? Oh wait, no one actually knows you? Thought so. Actual UA-cam stats show that most people only want to watch things that are 10mins or less on UA-cam. Series like this bumps that number up to an average of 20-30mins. Even when people create short films on UA-cam they don't do well if they are over 30mins in length. So yeah, my comment wasn't just my personal opinion, it was based on actual UA-cam viewer stats and I love Chris' content and I don't want him to make a mistake of creating things that aren't within the attention span of the "majority of his audience".
I did this drive, but in reverse. from sandspoint idaho through Kootani, Jasper and Banff on my way to Fairbanks Alaska for the Army. Best experience I have ever had. I am glad you got to enjoy this wonderful drive. You brought me alot of good memories. thank you. and don't worry, she is out there. somewhere. I believe in true love. still. to this day. as a 33year old single father. of a 4 year old girl. true love is real. just keep being you, and she will show herself when you least expect it.
I am so glad that I found your channel. You have kindled a bit of a wanderlust in me. I would like to hit the road and see some of the backwaters of the US and Canada instead of flying over them to get from one city to another. I appreciate how much you share and understand it must be difficult at times. As some have said you are not really alone as we are all watching and rooting for you and enjoying the beauty you are witnessing through your eyes and words. I think we can all identify with some of the things you are struggling with even if we aren't all in your exact situation. Keep up the great work!
Definitely one of my favourite adventure channels. I am kind of the same style guy, love to drive around with myself. Mine is an old FJ Cruiser though. Thinking how to build it for off grid. Keep posting, it is really an enjoyable time to watch your videos.
I am very excited that you are able to explore parts of my province (Alberta) before heading south. It's exciting to see some of my favorite places, plus newly discovered ones through your sense of adventure. It's probably too late now but buying a yearly federal park pass, will get you unlimited to all national parks across Canada. I'm not sure if you are going to do any exploring in other parts of Canada, but it may be worth looking at.
I wish you the best of luck of meeting your cuddle buddy....! Bob Ross paints some damn good lookin scenery for sure...!! Have fun on your adventures, even if it's alone.
Jasper is my favorite park although I haven't been there for many years. Your video took me back to when my children were children. The campground, the sky tram, the town site itself and your comments on Mt. Robson when you first saw it. We walked that trail a number of times. There is a rapids in Mt. Robson park that is the limit to where the salmon can migrate to. From Vancouver, up through Prince George and back down to Mt Robson. Amazing.
I'm always intrigued by your camera's viewpoint, and how many separate shots go into each video. One shot in this video, looking down on your jeep as your drove by, must have taken a lot of effort to set up. You're a good cameraman/storyteller/director/editor/etc... and in doing your videos, you probably get a lot of exercise! Very well done videos, thank you!
Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. Hope to get out to that region one day. First overlanding up on the rim East of Pason AZ after a 23Zero roof top tent installation last week for a few days. Heading back overseas next week but will look forward to our next trip. Thanks for the inspiration!
Awesome! Thank you once again! One thing that I do when I go on extended camping trips is unscented baby wipes. It sounds a bit odd, but really helps you stay fresh. 👍🏼
I loved the ending! Absolutely stunning vistas! your b roll game is inspiring. very much enjoy your efforts, even the softy stuff, takes courage and time. advice i was given, place lil importance on if its the one, just hang out and enjoy company. in my case(7 years single, in and out of relationships after the 90 day probationary period.), the one, came and grabbed me by the neck and never let go! lol well more like our second date was a week long trip to the Rubicon trail, in her jeep!
"Face on the Rock" Did anyone else catch the face on the pile of rocks in Banff Central Park (29:35)? Chris, The chuckling on the mountain top was so fun to watch and listen to. And like many have posted, the photography / videos and breath taking. From close-ups of pine cones on branches to distant mountain ranges. PS...Keep reaching for those tomatoes my friend!
Life is a garden...dig it! Keep reaching for tomatoes just not in my town as that is my plan as well.....Awesome video, the mountains are stunning! I gotta get to Banff!
Hi Chris wonderful video once again but I have to tell you. After about 6 months of watching your videos I subscribed. Believe it or not I never noticed that I didnt subscribed. Soooo I subscribed today lol. Wanted to tell you all your videos are so very informative. I enjoy watching were you go. I am a Jeep owner so that’s how I found you on internet. I’ve been fishing or specifically Surf Fishing, about 35 years now. Sooooo, now back to present day. You were the first one I ever saw with a roof top tent or a pop up camper on the internet, I was awed! Since that moment I’ve dove in full force on research on roof top tents. I love surf fishing so this would be perfect add to my Jeep when I go fishing which is about once a week for 2 nights. I’m off from work mid-week so this works out perfect for my fishing sport. Since most folks are off weekends it’s a plus also I really never liked sleeping inside the Jeep. I also never wanted to start setting up tents on beach anyways. So I started thinking ROOFTOP tent! I could not afford the Ursa Minor so I thought. (wife plays a big role 😁) So after all my few months of watching you tube videos on rooftop tents and researching the different products. I explained and showed wife and was a go on this project about roof top tents. This stems from from, she hated camping because we had to sleep in a tent on the ground. She really liked camping but the ground sleep did her in about 15 years ago. So now after I showed her the countless videos on pop up tents. She says to me, let’s just go for the Ursa Minor. She shocked me sorta. What a great surprise! I quickly reached for my the phone and met or spoke to John from Ursa Minor. I asked much about the Ursa Minor and he answered all my many questions. So me and my wife decided right there with me on the phone with John that we would put a deposit on the Ursa Minor. This was back in July 2018. We are both very psyched on delivery just around the corner in November 2018. “OK4WD” will be doing the installing of our Ursa Minor. Met a few of the folks that work at OK4WD. All very nice and informative people that know there job. So back to wife. She can’t wait to go camping with me! This has opened up a new freshly paved avenue for us as far as travel. My fishing needs also! Heck she’s coming fishing now! Lol We’ve traveled much in our life, through planes trains and auto mobiles. Stays where with Hotels, resorts, cabins, and all the great amenities that coming with vacationing. But now it’s time to get up close(camping or over-landing) in this wonderful world/country we live in. So in the end I wanted to let you know THANKS for introducing me to the Ursa Minor and of course these wonderful places we will be visiting this coming year all THANKS to your WONDERFUL videos! Eric
I just started watching your videos a few weeks back and I've seen you travel to some beautiful destinations but I must say this was probably the most spectacular and the photography is just great; some of the scenes you shot were just jaw-dropping. I too am a Panasonic Lumix lover (although mine are the pocket size DMC SZ10 and ZS25) and that Leica lens is fabulous; it's hard to take bad pictures with them. And, dude! I just love your wry sense of humor. That last shot at the grocery store was just genius. Oh, and do us all a favor and get a camp cookbook or something. Any cookbook with simple recipes for that matter. Please. No more burnt grilled cheese sandwiches and that cheeseburger with crumbled up Cheez-it crackers that you made in one of your other videos was almost worthy of an unsubsribe. You can't be putting us Foodies through that kind of hell, lol. Keep it real, keep it personal, and keep up the great work.
You missed a whole amazing area of Canada and something you really would of enjoyed. Tuktoyaktuk way up north in the Yukon the road ends at the Arctic Ocean. That’s what my destination is going too be eventually lol. I’m leaving my place in a few hours which is in central Newfoundland.
Could you include a short video of how you level your Jeep at camp? I’m interested in how precise you are and what tools, if any, you use to check your levelness. Another great video! Thanks for sharing!
Hay man at the river thing I think it makes it interesting what you said and most of all makes you relatable and most of all human like instead of like sounding like a teacher showing something in class
Dude.. know this is an old one. but you’re not alone. Lots of people are looking for the right person. You proly have better chance of meeting her than the rest of us. Just Don’t make it a centerpiece of your journey. And You are lucky to have a son!

Your videography here was stunning, getting better all the time. Thank your for all your efforts.
Everything you make simple, but with a great job. Your worked shots, your respect for nature, your quiet journeys without forcing your Wrangler, your friendship with people, simply great.
Interesting head washing technique! Absolutely beautiful scenery!
The shot in the grocery store made me chuckle. I've been going through a divorce this year, things are better now but your videos have played a part in helping through. I look forward to them every week.
Brian Glass Not a big deal if you’re thinking the other way. You now could have more time of your own though.
WOW !! NO WORDS CAN DISCRIBE MY JAW DROPPING RESPONSE TO THIS BEAUTY!!! YOU MADE POSSIBLE FOR ME TO SEE!! YOU SHARED IT WITH SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES IT IMMENSELY!!TKU !! SO VERY MUCH!! AWWWSOME!!!
Great video! Bob Ross, one of my favorite artists...venture4wd, one of my favorite UA-cam channels!

Another great video Chris. Top notch camera work.

I am sure that mountaintop experience was unforgettable - 15:37 is epic!
Great video! I’m so jealous!
🙏 praying you find your grocery gal 🍅🍅
The scenery is spectacular, and the filming/photography are top shelf. What I like is the video is almost therapeutic. The noise of the tires on loose rocks, the whine of the gears and the hum of the engine. All done at a low, calming pace.

Your photography is really getting good! Thanks for sharing!
Scott Hall my fiancé said the same thing
Banff & Jasper are my absolutely favorite places in North America so I’m so stoked you got to get up there! 🙌🏻♥️
What an incredible video and place!! Thanks so much for sharing this adventure - my dads favorite place also...
One of my favorite places on the planet. Awesome video. You deserve more subscribers. Not sure why people aren't finding your channel but it's their loss!
I totally agree it's my Saturday afternoon pleasure!
Excellent photos! Loved the open laughter at the mountain top! Awesome trip!
I've seen many episodes and I think here he was at his most giddy with adventure! Can't blame him--on top of the world with whipping wind and snow.
Catching up on these now. I love Banff & it's great seeing it again through your video. I traveled to Banff from the States in my motorhome, but I'd love to repeat the trip driving a Jeep as you have. I'll keep watching your adventures while I work the 9-5, or actually 12's.😎
This episode was really fantastic! Wow, what scenery!
Excellent ending........!
What a great description “Like being inside a Bob Ross painting”. Truly stunning scenery!
Thanks Chris, that was great!! Love the top of the mountain footage and the grocery store at the end. I'm sure one day there will be a hand that reaches for the same tomato. Thanks for sharing!!

"Stupid grazing elk.................OH you're goats." (and they're actually sheep) The joys of thinking out loud in front of a camera!

Great video. Thanks for being open. God Bless you Brother and Safety Travels!
Great video, one of my favorites, look forward to them every Friday!

Thank you for sharing, such a great content! I can see a lot of hard work went into making this video!

I'll be going to Lake Luise, Canada in August. I was excited but now I am super excited! Awesome video as always!
Another episode of beautiful scenery!
WOW on the photography and editing...
You’re close to finding Shangra La ...
I'm always intrigued by your camera's viewpoint, and how many separate shots go into each video. Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. Hope to get out to that region one day. First overlanding up on the rim East of Pason AZ after a 23Zero roof top tent installation last week for a few days. Heading back overseas next week but will look forward to our next trip. Thanks for the inspiration!
That was a nice throw…you got an arm
Why thank you!
Epic video as always Chris!!!!!👍👊💥
Great video, thank you!
As always great job & what beautiful country ! She is out theye just be patient
top notch humour in this video :D
great video Chris and love the honesty.
Good luck on your grocery store quest lol
Wow, amazing! Really tempted to visit Jasper now!
Thanks Mate for another great video, from your friends here in Perth Western Australia.
Love the views! Great video as always. Head south and get warm!!👍👍
Amazing videos as always! Ever in San Diego again, let's run some trails in Anza Borrego or Mount Laguna. Keep on your journey.......
Fantastic work, just found your channel and looking forward to watching it all.
Chris those tomatoes look really nice, some of them appear to be single as well 😜
Amazing wow stunning film. You are the best content creator
The tomato scene and camera pan (looking for the one) was the best. Funny.
Life is a garden...dig it! Keep reaching for tomatoes just not in my town as that is my plan as well.....Awesome video, the mountains are stunning! I gotta get to Banff!
Great great video👍🏼
My favorite Tuber.. I love your stuff Chris... Wish you were going to EXPO EAST...... Love to meet you someday...
Saw you heading south (toward Lake Louise) on the Icefields Parkway, just south of Jasper. Awesome drive! Keep up the great videos!
Fantastic as always, Chris!

Happy mountains and happy little trees.
After all the time in the world, when you finally find your soulmate in the produce aisle, don’t walk away... Run! 😎🤷🏻♂️
Really enjoy your channel and travels. Well done👍
I like your wardrobe! It seems you wear the same three shirts and a few pants and shorts! My kind of living that I am not there quite yet!
Your courage to drop everything is enspiring and embark on a personal journey of life is so respectful wish i had the same courage best wishes🆓
Great video. Spinoff concept: my civic can do that. Good Luck with the tomatoes

Brilliant ending!
LOL about the end. Maybe try farmers' market hahaha
I have been with you through thick and thin, and when you had your tomato slicer with you, all you said was “we parted ways!” Wow what a travesty!
Stunning footage!
Could you include a short video of how you level your Jeep at camp? I’m interested in how precise you are and what tools, if any, you use to check your levelness. Another great video! Thanks for sharing!
I am sure you know it never happens the way ya want it too, great looking tomatoes, enjoyed the video, maybe a "single, free, looking" T-shirt......
You're videos are awesome
You need a tailgate table my friend.
I was waiting for her hand at the tomato bin😁
