As a Nepalese, I must say some of us look hella Asian, some of us look South Asian and Some in between. There is a whole spectrum. Growing up in Canada, I would always get mistaken for Korean in HS, and when I say I was born in Nepal, It intrigues them.
My husband is Samoan Hawaiian, people keep asking him if he’s Filipino and some old nana’s would actually start talking Filipino to him 😂 he’s just started to tell them yeah because even when he says he’s Samoan Hawaiian they’re like “NOT! You’re Filipino”😭😂it’s hilarious lol even Samoans tell him he look Filipino and don’t believe lol so now he’s like fuck it, yup i Filipino 😂 No one can accurately guess what I am lol but I always get Mexican 😂
Filipino is a NATIONALITY not a Race. Your husband is AUSTRONESIAN but a subset of Austonesians. Filipinos gave birth to all Micronesians, Polynesians, Oceanins. SAME PEOPLE, different TRIBES, I don't even like to call myself Filipino, I am AUSTRONESIAN, your husband is AUSTRONESIAN. There is almost half a billion AUSTRONESIANs all across S.E.A and Polynesia etc. Scientific facts.
@@thomaschristopherwhite9043 He's not "Bigger"... He is of an extension of AUSTRONESIANS... His Samoan Hawaiian tribe is a subset of austronesians. His people's language is of Austronesians.
I'm an Indopino (indian-filipino) and I look like a filipino with bigger eyes, a nose bridge, and facial hair. It's kinda nice having people guess what I am lol. I get khmer and Malaysian a lot on top of Filipino or Indian.
The Philippines is probably the most diverse set of people in the world. East asian, south asian, european spanish, arab spanish (the arabs ruled spain for many years, many people dont even know. al andalus), sub saharan african (arabs intermarried with them a lot), and strangly enough, native american ie. mexican, who the spaniards brought over to form mexican colonies there.
I would say Puerto Ricans are pretty up there as well with how diverse they are. I think it is interesting how people you see today became who they are now because of what happened in the past.
22:33 as far as I know, we don't really have that kind of event. But we have celebrations for all that you can think of in the PH👌. I believe,we have the longest Christmas celebration in the world which starts from the month of September, decorations and Christmas items would be available all throughout the country and some would decorate their places in some way. You would even hear Christmas songs be played on radio stations too.🙌🤣
23 and me says that I am .06% western Asian and northern African. Other than that 99.0% European. Mostly French/German with little bit of Icelandic, Scandinavian, British, Irish, Scottish and a quarter Spanish/Portuguese.
The theme of the red envelops is that they should come in pairs and you should get 2 bills in each because of the chinese belief that everything is better in pairs. It's not about the monetary value but more about it being a gesture.
I had a Filipino friend that some people thought was my sister. I'm half black/korean lol. And people think I'm from the pacific islands in general, and if I tell them my name, they think I'm Hawaiian.
One thing most people don’t know is there were hundreds of Tlaxcala warriors (the tribe that help the Spanish against the Aztec) that helped the Spanish conquer the Philippines. So there’s filipinos that would have some mexican native blood along with Spanish.
Just adding to the algorithm. 6:03, Joe was not wrong about that comment on the Kazumi video. And I bet that was not the one that saw that too as well. And agree it was an Kazumi video. And no I didn't write it.
Filipino New Year in the Philippines with my family back in the day was lighting up fireworks in the neighborhood competing to see who can last longer lighting fireworks and my dad would always win. He'd light a few from what he bought earlier in the week by 1230AM he'd go get a duffle bag full of fireworks from his car and start lighting them up from 11PMto 2AM !
The dark skinned filipino people ryan was talking about i think is the indigenous tribe called "Aeta" they live mainly on in luzon which is philippines largest archipelago. They are thought to be one of the Philippines earliest inhabitants.
Its very rare to see Filipinos having full beards, some of us just develop goatees ot some shit, but it would be fun to have a full ass beard, you lucky af ryan.
Not everyone in Taiwan is Han Chinese. My husband is pure Taiwanese indigenous Amis. There are also something like 16 other indigenous tribes in Taiwan who were there way before Han people took over. Not to mention Taiwan was colonised by other countries too like Japan.
You should try taking a bath with a "TABO", the water pitcher that we Filipinos use in the bathroom. Imagine just waking up and because you're already late for school, your mother immediately yells at you to go take a bath. Ohh... I tell you that first pour on the head. It felt like I was doing the ice water challenge over and over again. Your breath goes out of your lungs, and you're shivering so much it's like you're going into hypothermia. Lol. It sure toughens you up though.
yoooo the envolope thing is real in Pakistan too. We have it on eid and we don't do it in envelope, we just hand the money over and sadly I'm almost in the age where I have to start giving
Filipino guy here, and yes every all Filipinos look hella different case and point my own family. My adopted dad is 1/4 Chinese, my adopted mom is 1/4 Spanish and I’m 1/4 Japanese. We all look recognizably Filipino but individually look nothing alike.
I mean, it also depends on the room/house temperature 🌡 its easier to take a cold 🚿 base on that. Especially when you take a cold shower on a tropical island just hits differently 😂😆
Chinese is a NATIONALITY. Not a Race. There are many kinds of Chinese ethnicities. Even AUSTRONESIANs can say they are Chinese because they exist in China.
joe and ryan are like the 2 kids at the back of the class
True cuz I really was that guy in class lol
lmao and they’re actually from the same school irl too 🤣

17:41 That hand move was smooth asf. Also being half filipino i can confirm we look diverse LMAOO
I was mistaken (the one and only time ever) for Japanese and I was so surprised but so flattered at the same time 😂😭

Filipinos, mainly in Manila and the bigger cities, also celebrate Chinese New Years, because we have a lot of Chinese people in the Philippines too.
Nepalese people actually look like Nick, Ryan, Anthony and Joe. Asian mongolian, asian aryan and a mix of both. Very diverse.
With all due respect there's actually a very small amount of Mongolian DNA in Nepal compared to Aryan, Chinese and Jat.
From Nepal and I can 100% confirm about Chinese and Indian mix 😭😭😭😭. And some Mongolian.
I'm Alaska native and I get mixed up with so many other things because people never see my type of native outside of Alaska

For Nick: I’m Indian and Filipino and people think I’m Mexican 👍

Filipinos have fiestas way more numerous throughout the year so we can skip the lunar new year

They actually have a chinese based dna test that actually tests those super specific east asian descent, it's called 23mofang

When i was Younger i got "you look vietnamese, chinese.."...
I'm from italy😅😅
Careful with those heating pads, you literally could cook yourself slightly and it leaves marks on you sort of like bruises that don't go away.
Cam, Joe, and Anthony needs to do a dance routine together!!!! (I know Joe use to dance!) LOL
Idk why but I feel better when i see Can eating on camera lol
13:43 that is because Filipino is not a race, it's a nationality.
Is Can ok, i heard tgere was shooting at the new years party there in LA
It’s about time u got her back - I was bout write Yelp review
still crazy to find out that anthony is cousins with one of my friends
The dark skinned filipino people ryan was talking about i think is the indigenous tribe called "Aeta" they live mainly on in luzon which is philippines largest archipelago. They are thought to be one of the Philippines earliest inhabitants.
Aeta is just one specific tribe. There are 30 Negrito tribes scattered from north to south. I think where Ryan is from, they’re called Dumagats.
Not “one of”, they are the original Phillipino

I've bought the year of the rabbit skin for call of duty modern warfare 2 (Zimo)....so technically I identify as a Chinese male online when I play 🤔
Living in the midwest, tap water is ice cold so cold showers hit different 🥴🥶
Y’all need to start a podcast. I think it would do better: and have a bunch of the articles as topics
Cold showers only work in the summer man. In the winter good luck getting 32 degree water in a 68 degree house.
Ur videos make my day js saying
The malls decorate for Chinese New Year in the Philippines but nobody actually celebrates it.
We love Can ❤️
That Taika moment is the best moment ever on JKN!
Holy shiii!!! I grew up in the same province where Ryans cousin live but like an hour away lol
gimme a couple years and ill be able to tell you what an indian&chinese mix looks like. my cousin's kid is mixed with those two
I’ve been taking cold showers for a month. I like jumping into mountain creeks.
I live in Wisconsin and some people can't take the cold. I'm dead inside, so the cold is nothing to me. Don't know if that correlate or not. 💀
I still don’t know if Kalyne is actually part Chinese and I’ve watched every JK video she’s been in
at this point ive accepted that shes fully chinese

People mixed with Indian and Chinese look manipuri. very cute.
The first Filipinos are black, called Negritos. They belong to 30 tribes throughout the country
Well the Negritos were still in the Philippines 40,000 years before Austronesians (brown Filipinos) arrived.
@@jennyzubiri9312 there’s no such thing as austrinesians, they’re just mongoloids mixed with the native dark (“black”) populations of asia
