Nice color mixing. Lovely undertones. Your nails are a very nice green also.

Excellent tutorial. The colour mixing part was great, most youtube tutorials say "mix windsor blue with thingy yellow . . . " too specific. The thinking and details and reasons behind the doing is great.

Great video! I never thought of using my primary colors (including the blue I’m using in my sky) to make the shadow colors for my clouds. Fantastic tip!! I’ll also not be blotting out my clouds anymore. Thanks so much for this tip!

Great tips. I've been guilty of the blotting method. I wouldn't have thought to rewet from the bottom for adding shadows to the clouds. Thanks!

Tip 3 works wonderfully if you follow directions and first dry your paint COMPLETELY! 'Bone-dry', not just a few minutes with the hairdryer ... (being impatient like me will give you a stormy sky) LOL, I bet a lot of people can picture what I've done ;)

Thank you Michele! I struggle with clouds, and this helped me so much. I never liked the blotting out clouds method because, as you say, they don't look natural. Great tip about leaving any "fluff" or hair until the painting dries; I always try to remove it right away, and usually mess up that area. Since my cat is always near me, this happens a lot. Have a blessed day Michele! ♥️💐♥️ Donna

Thanks Michele for another great tutorial. Ultramarine Violet is a great colour to use with the sky colour to paint cast shadows on white clouds, and also cast cloud shadows on the ground. Take care and stay safe.x

Most people mess up skies by working on them too long. Try just quick bursts, then letting a layer dry before doing some more or changing colours.

I do sometimes batch film. Also they are gel polish, I have them applied every 3 weeks, they are bullet proof. I keep them short for martial arts :-)

The blotted version looked a bit more like a water surface than clouds, didn’t it. At least in the area that was blotted. Might have to experiment with that.

What about using sponges to make clouds on our paintings? Have you made a video about that technique or do you even recommend using a sponge?

It's not my favourite method Carol, of course if it suits you go for it, but it can look artificial if you aren't careful.

When I made clouds, I blotted the wet paint with tissue. Clouds aren’t neat, especially the cirrus clouds.
