When you stayed in the customer “pain point” and asked that amazing open ended question “where would all these people be without you” made them feel special and better about what they are going through and showing you care. Once they know you care, objections are less likely to be about trust.
I loved this. I sell residential HVAC systems and use similar open ended questions… but that by far is the best I’ve heard yet! Hope you don’t mind if I use it!

That was a great rhetorical question to build rapport!
Pace is a master at getting info from potential clients without making them feel like they are doing it. You have to ask questions to get to the root of the pain. Once you discover that, you can offer solutions and help people. That’s what Pace is all about.

You are correct, it’s all about manipulation. Build trust via showing individual understanding and pretending you actually care lol…..
Pace is certainly focused, but from being in customer service for the last 20 years, the most valuable lesson you can glean from this is the importance of actually listening to the customer. SOO many people make the phone call about them and their ego and do not actually listen for answers. it’s not personal. You are inserting yourself into somebody’s life and everybody is exactly how they are for a reason.

One of my biggest goals is to keep my emotions as even as Pace when the sellers/realtors start to get worked up. I know their tones/behaviors are projecting what’s going on inside of them, but I have moments where I lose sight of that and start internalizing things.
This is an invaluable skill. My heart goes out to this woman.
She's a very sweet lady trying to teach Pace a thing or two about fixing up a house. I hope she's doing well.

Excellent phone call. My key take away so far is to be friendly, compassionate and connect on ann emotional level with the seller. do not be afraid to ask any questions because you don’t know what you dont know.

Pace, for reverse mortgage, I believe the best option is short sale. 95% of appraisal value. Either the heir or third party can buy this at 95% of the appraised value.

I really learned a lot. We need to stay away from Reverse mortgages; unless we can do a short sale or fix-n-flip.
Most importantly
The right questions are paramount to doing a deal. One missing part of the background can change the entire sale and how it will be best structured.
I am working on my first deal and it is a similar situation. There is a Foreclosure Auction Clock is ticking. I am sure the second half will send me in the right direction.
