Automower Hack - Cut Your Lawn With Carpet Blades

DISCLAIMER: be extremely careful when working with razor blades. I do not recommend grinding or cutting on them because they can shatter or go flying and become cause injury or death. Modify them at your own risk!
One of the only gripes I have with Husqvarna Automowers is the cost of the blades, so when I saw an opportunity to save 90%+ on blades, I could not resist. I tried it so you don’t have to! :)

UPDATE: My Automower repeatedly mowed over a fallen branch and one of the carpet blades eventually cracked and fell off. These knife blades must be harder (more brittle) than the OEM blades. They might work for a long time on grass alone, but they do not like hitting obstacles. Use at your own risk.

Life pro tip: You can use your cars used motor oil for low cost fertilizer for your lawn.

I tried that in one lawn and it ended up saving me a ton of time. I never had to mow that grass again.
