I have to say, as much fun as it is to watch you crush 600-1200 noobs (I am one too), I love these videos where you play against 2000s, I find such games much more instructive from the "learning good chess" perspective.
Youre really the chess youtuber I learn the most from. Just the way of taking me through the thought process, explaining options and giving little tasks to solve in the video really helps me. I always look for heuristics to take away from chess content and you deliver that. Big thanks.
Game number 1 isn’t an instructive game it’s a very instructive model game almost a course on the 2N variation with loads of tips and lessons on middle game ideas… Thank you Alex
Have your Chessable course (switched form Najdorf), and I am loving it! You are an excellent teacher. Also really looking forward to your Jobava to add to the London of your I also have. Keep them coming 👍
Ive used this opening for about a year now i think and still to this day wins are so effortless, i had a game against someone 200 points higher than me and beat them with a 91.9 accuracy with the caro with minimal effort i went from 700 to 1200 with this opening very quickly
Hey man your video quality improved a lot, could you do some kings indian content? :D I feel really comfortable with caro kann and jobava but my kings indian is holding me back from reaching 1600 blitz :) Mostly would love to see all the different middle game ideas/concepts just the way you've been doing the jobava/caro kann vids lately!

28:20 was Bxf3 a good move? the idea is if he takes with the knight, he hang e2, if he takes with pawn or bishop, he hang d2. However, I'm only eleven hundred elo, sorry if i'm wrong. Keep making good tutorial bro, I learn chess from your content a lot. [edit] he can simply take with bishop, because knight on d2 is defended by bishop on g5 lol.
Alex playing the London : I flee far and fast. ( scared of the brain contamination \ *joke* ) Alex playing the Caro Kann : count me in ! I'm there all the way. Some bits of context : I've been playing for 3 years. I'm now 1900-ish on lichess. I've played the Caro for two years, and I've climbed the rankings with it. It is my main move against 1.e4 and I have some success with it. (52% of victories, 43% losses on lichess - rapid ) It is MAINLY thanks to you, Alexandrü. I've been playing the Pirc too for some time, because I was scared of Caro's advance variation, but later came back to it stronger, and now I'm fine with it. So, yeah, I'm an enthousiast of the channel. Matthieu, 41, a frenchman living in Japan and enjoying life. I mean chess. I mean life. Whatever...
Commenting for the algo so Alex gets the recognition and millions of subs he deserves! Also if u see this Alex, please make us some Catalan video! I switched from the jobava to the Catalan last few days and absolutely love it. Am only rated 1050 so far (started playing June 26 and found your channel about 3 weeks ago and went from 700-1050 in about 70 games) so maybe at higher rating it won’t work so well but right now I’m absolutely crushing with it, nobody really knows more than the first 4 or 5 moves
Hey man. My whole chess life has changed watching you. Love your content. All I play now is Caro and Jobava. Is the Caro dead on B4? Like you play King’s Indian on that? I don’t know if you made a video on that. Have you considered doing some videos on tactics? Like winning end games? My end games sucks 😭
@AlexBanzea recently I saw a variation of the advance which isn't covered in ur chessable course. Could u advice? 1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5. 3. e5 c5 4. dxc5 Nc6. 5. c4....

Taking which piece exactly, on what square? I really love your videos, but please try to remember to give relevant information like the moves being played and the pieces that you're talking about.
@alexbandea, you mentioned in the exchange variation, when opponent plays Nc3 or Bb5, the rule is exchange your light squared bishop for their knight on f3. Why?
Should I be scared switching from giuoco piano to jobava ? Because i somehow think i learnt openings against sicilian, caro kann, french etc for nothing then , or I have to Study too much against kings indian, and all other indian openings then
Hew Alex remember I told you about my tournament got 5/9. 1.5/4 points against rated players my performance rating is 1769 the issue is I only played 4 games against rated players will I still get a rating or will I have to wait till my 5th game? also I got tilted after losing a game and lost the next one basically ruining my tournament since I didn't face any good players after that can you give any tips for how to prevent that?
Playing against the alien gambit is pretty annoying/uncomfortable, because one mistake and black is dead lost. Would be nice to see you playing more against it!
as long as you remember the c5-Nc6 concept (to strike in the center) should be walk in the park if you constantly do a blunder check every move. The game wins itself with the extra piece (and weaker guys don't play well for compensation either)
