Very Nice Modelling - This reminds me of Something that could have been found in the Forest of Dean back in the day. You have all the best Elements that I think of as GWR, and make them seem very Realistic - Signal box, Pagoda, footbridge, Goods shed etc are all fab, but the smaller details I noticed like the Fencing behind them are what adds that magic. I’m a late developer in this Hobby, but I would certainly be Happy if I could attain the Skills to Create something on this Level in the Future. Many thanks for Sharing and Happy modelling 👍🏻🙏🏻✨
Thanks so much! I think the GWR was by far the most beautiful looking, both with the stock and the buildings. I grew up going to the Severn Valley from a very young age so maybe that swayed me!
Hi! I had a nice chat to you at the Swansea model railway show with your lynnbach layout which I really liked. I also like this one very much. Inspiring me to get on with my own stuff. 😊 Keep the layouts coming 😎
Your model railway is looking great, folk rock compilation, I listen to Steeleye Span when I'm on my own modelling. Have you spotted my grandson's 'Christmas in Dylington' video ? It's a nice festive one and will help get you in the festive mood. Have a great Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.....cheers James 🙂👍
Must watch that! I love folk rock, classic rock, metal, goth and prog. Steeleye Span are one of my favourites. I like a lot of Fairport, Albion Band and Strawbs to name a few.
@Elvinley sounds like you've got a great taste in music, I always try to see Steeleye when they tour, but unfortunately, I've missed them this time. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the Christmas video we had great fun creating the scene and filming it. If you get a chance to watch it, let me know what you think....cheers James 🙂👍
Nice one Ian! A testament to using a small space wisely in 00. Looking to build my own small layout in the new year in a similar vein! Merry Christmas to and yours - see you around sometime. :)
Excellent realism as usual having also really enjoyed your O gauge shunty plank. What size board is this OO on please? Peco flexi track perhaps? Merry Christmas 🙂
Thanks a lot! I'm not sure of the exact dimensions but can check. I would say about 4 by 6. I used flexi track where possible to make the curve to straight transition as gentle as poss and tighter curves mainly in the tunnels. Tight curves had to be employed in some other areas but I don't think it looks too bad.
I love the atmosphere it breaths.
Takes you to a different era.
That's great thanks! Nice to hear that. I think that the atmosphere is the main thing I hope to capture.
@@Elvinley I think you've managed.that. :)
A Happy Christmas to Sarah and yourself and thank you for sharing your layout (and railway).
Thanks very much. Have a good 'un!
Like this so much, the colouring makes it dated and 9v battery amazing....great ideas here.
Thanks so much! Need a junction signal next.
Very nice layout,,nice details,,thanks for sharing…😊
Thank you!
Wishing you and the Family a great Christmas I layout is superb !
Thanks mate! Hope you have a good one too!

Thanks a lot! That was a good show....enjoyed it a lot. No more space for more layouts!
Stumbled upon this today, I think this is great because I’m also doing a GWR themed layout, your layout looks really good!
Thanks a lot! All the best for your layout!
It’s come a long way since my visit.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to both of you.
Thanks mate! Same to you!

I just checked and it's approx six by four.
