I love how Mr. Vee doesn't neglect the foundational values that it takes to build a successful business. He knows that working smart is only half of the equation. Working hard is just as important. It's a testament to the fact that it takes-in a word- maturity to build a successful business.

The topic of sacrificing for entrepreneurial success is interesting. For me it's not a sacrifice because I don't get enjoyment from the things most people do. The only thing that truly fulfills me today is working hard and building something. I am happiest after a day of hard work.

Give Give Give was actually a Napoleon Hill idea. Sadly, that's the part of think and grow rich and laws of success that everyone seems to overlook. It is absolutely the single most important lesson in that book. Kudos to Gary Vaynerchuk for pushing that idea hard!

Kelsey, I have watched many people on UA-cam do interviews with very famous people and I LOVE your interview style. You are right with the person and tracking them. So many interviewers have a set list of Q (which I understand) that are set and they stick to them no matter where the interviewee goes. You have a gift.

Inheriting a 3 million dollar business is definitely a big deal.
Yes you need to know business skills in order to keep that business going but also that opens up a lot of opportunities.
Being born into what society considers a "poor" family. It's hard to break out of certain ideologies that are constructed by the world around those people. Especially since mainstream media in America and the way the world is set up keeps people set up for failure. I'm sure G in the video knows this. I still feel like it's important for people who grew up with enough to eat, clean clothing, a loving family to recognize their privilege cause not everyone is born into that. Which changes the way that people in the world see things. However, I do agree. Americans are very privileged compared to most of society, but the fact that there are stiill homeless people in the streets unable to get food. And a disproportionate amount of people of color in jail means that there is a lot of shit that still exists. People, including myself, that are high on life either REALLY understand and want to help other others. or they are just way to high to give a fuck and assume that everyone has equal opportunities for success.

Great interview. Just a couple suggestions. 1. No need to include viewer Qs / exact same trivia Q. You've no problem asking questions of substance. 2. Instead of asking generic "~ your keys to success?" Could you possibly ask more about character / other intangibles? (How they handled certain pressure cooker situations, business confontations) but all in all you're amazing.

Wow. I've been watching anything Gary Vee related with ups and downs for the last year and I have to say this might be the most specific and original and inspiring interview I have ever watched of him. There's a ton of youtube people to help you be an entrepreneur and a success and I was getting judgmental (easy over video!) - but Kelsey you have impressed me.

10:40 lol, I have that same "super power" It's the exact thing that's made me great at reading people at a poker table, saved my ass one time in AIT (training for your job in the army after basic training) when me and a few guys snuck a few girls from our squad into our bay barracks (theirs were directly across from ours).
It was the middle of the night and were doing our thing (without getting graphic) and a drill sergeant came in to do head count. My battle buddy usually occupied the bunk above mine but that night he decided to sleep in the middle row instead. The drill sergeant surprised and the girl and I kinda freaked, I was thinking about what could I do to not have us get caught and in trouble.
Essentially instead of shoving her into my locker (like my buddy did with his chick, as I found out later once we got through this ordeal) I just covered her in my bed with me with my little wool blanket they issue us lol. I thought for sure we'd get found out about, but as the drill started flashing his flashlight onto each bunk I realized in his mind he's looking for bodies and I knew once he got to my battle's bed he'd realize he's not in there, he'd wonder where he was.
Sure enough he shined his light onto my buddy's bunk, to see he was missing, and literally as soon as he went to shine his light on me, I said "Drill he's over there" and I pointed, drawing his attention to my buddy and off of me and the girl hiding under my blanket. Needless to say, this innate ability to know what people are thinking has served me well numerous times lol.

I agree Fatima - when we did this interview he was on DailyVee #8 - now he's on #221! So much has happened since then. Plus I only got 22 minutes, hopefully next time I can get more time with him!

Loved this episode Kelsey! Saw a side of Gary that I really identify with and didn't get to see in other interviews of him. Subscribed.
