Quite a few people get turned off by his approach and his delivery but that's just his character, if you check out his channel and give him a listen, soon he will be your alarm clock to get up and hustle! He has brought out a hunger in me that sometimes goes dormant. Gary Vee is a beast!

People nowadays get offended like they get payed for it! Literally, it took one 26 minute video from this guy to make me flip like a FUCKING pancake. Sunday, 12:11am and I'm on a break getting inspiration to keep working on my fucking dream. Rock on, sir!

If you run an online business you need an email list, there are many good reasons for that, main one being that you own your qualified audience personal information, not FB. Platforms like FB were not originally built to grow businesses, not to say that you should not use them on the side, but e-mail still works like a work horse if you know how to use it and do not spam the heck out of your subscribers. That is why every major blogger or site ask you to sign up first thing when you visit their websites. A mailing list is extremely powerful.

I've watched this about 19 times and it never loses value.
Learn to speak in the age we are living in. What worked 5, 4, 3, hell, even what worked in the last six months to capture an audience's attention, may not work RIGHT NOW.
When it comes to building and captivating an audience, Gary is the master.
Regardless of what you say Gary, I take notes on the things you say, lol.

This was so good to listen to. It was recommended to me to watch this for one of my graphic design classes. I love his delivery, and I completely agree with his appraoch to social networks. Just like at the end when he said you act different according to the context of your envrinoment. And the way he says it, it doesn't mean you're being fake but you're adapting to engage with those around you. Took a lot of great notes, and can't wait to apply this to my own work.

My wife is the entrepreneur, not me! She got excited about this video and sent it to me in email. She does that a lot. As usual, when I clicked on it, the first thing I did was look to see how long it was. When I saw that it was a whole 16 minutes, I groaned! lol.. She assured me that she didn't expect me to listen to the whole thing, but she just thought the dude had great ideas. So, I began listening. I ended up listening the the entire 16:07 minutes! You know a guy is good when he can capture the interest of a person talking about a subject that, normally, the person has no interest in! lol Good stuff!

truuguy Just a tip: Use the speed functions in the settings, you can play the video in 1.25, 1.5 or 2X speed. BTW it may not work on all browsers for some reason, I think it's consistently an option in google chrome.

What I really took away from this all was the importance of context. I always try to compare what we are attempting in the digital space to that which one can get in the analogue (face-to-face) space. One cut fits all never worked in the local hardware store and doesn't work in the digital spaces.

Sure, we all know Gary V. I bought his latest book (and loved it) not because of the great cover or his reputation, but because a friend recommended it…marketers psychology 101.
"Get into the psychology of WHY someone is on a particular website"
    …genius and underutilized strategy.

+Gary Vaynerchuk You're Fucking Brilliant. It's clear that your model for viewing the phenomenon electronic social interaction is profoundly different than inertial wisdom. The emphasis on "storytelling" as the noun you use to signify both the transaction taking place (as well as the transitive and transactional nature of the medium & paradigm) is significant and merits further reflection. Also you hit up the comments in a way that is not to be overlooked.

14:00 Cut to the core of "content marketing", being a "go-giver", "give, give, give, ask", what some call "the Law of Reciprocity", etc. "A funny thing happens when you give people a fuckload of value up front. You guilt people into buying shit." That brings it home for me. Thanks Gary.
