  • Welcome to IT Garage! Where we're doing stuff that we are not trained in!
I got restless while waiting for Edsel parts, so I bought a Mini Truck! This one sat for over 10 years and we will attempt to revive it and get it cruising around town once again.
In this video is an introduction to the truck. I would like to hear what you guys would want to see done to this Courier.
Please let me know what you have heard or remember about Ford couriers or other "American" mini trucks in the comments! Did I get something wrong? Probably! Let me know!
If you enjoyed please share, like, and subscribe so we can grow and do more on this channel!

Cool !! I'm not a Ford fan but I'll definitely watch the series of videos on this truck. Make sure the emergency flashers are working because these trucks are known to be absolutely gutless up hills. If memory serves me right, I think that engine has less than 90 hp. I remember when these trucks first came out so it's a little bit of nostalgia for me. The early 70's fuel crisis changed EVERYTHING!!

I've heard of it and it was totaly ridiculous, totally stupid. They to my knowledge was supose to ship these smaller trucks from Japan to this country without the beds on them then put the beds on them once they got into this country in order to avoid the tax. Totally stupid. He's another assingn ideal thes dumb politicians came up with. Here in Western Pennsylvania a steel mill will make the steel, send it up to Lake Erie, put that steel on a boat or barge, send it out to the Lake for a few house to a few days, then bring it back onto the shores of this country. That steel in now considered foreign steel in order to avoid another ridiculous tax. Try and figure that one out will ya.

This is unfourtionally true, however if you take steps to prevent these little trucks from rusting out, you can keep them for a good long time. What you would need to do is get black rust olem paint and spray paint the whole underside of the truck, frame, chassis, floor boards, underside of the bed, everything, and do this at least every two to three year intervals to keep road salt and chemicals from eating away from the trucks body. Second, wouldn't hurt to take the fenders off and coat them with paint underneath them to. This will help in a large way and manner to help keep this little truck from getting chewed up from road salts and chemicals. These days, they do make a paint on bed liner that you can coat the bed with to protect the bed from getting scratched up when hauling things around, which is important to do. And lastly, a good washing once a week along with a paste wax also goes a long time just the same to. Stay away from that liquid windex spray on wipe garbage as it's not wax, it's just windex in a bottle. You need a can of good car wax to use to matain the outside of the truck so it will last a great deal of time and good use forevermore.

Nice video mate. 👍 The Chevrolet SS and Pontiac G8 is a Australian Holden SS Commodore. Watching from Australia 🇦🇺 Watch Puddin's Fab Shop and see his Ford Courier's or Datsuns. All the best for 2024.
