My honest thoughts and opinions on the black ops cold war beta so far is that i'm bad at it, the lobbies are very sweaty thanks to skill based matchmaking (sbmm) and the truth is it's SUPER HARD to see people or tell friendly from enemy player due to everyone looking the same there is also a new wall glitch spot on moscow that's ruining the experience.

They have perfected cutting the skill gap by fully randomising cod. SBMM, extremely poor visibility, characters all look the same, the name tags don't even appear most the time, random aim assist, flip a coin gun fights, lag, poor hit detection, randomly designed maps, poor and inconsistent spawns etc, etc, etc. RIP Call of Duty.
If I could give this a million likes I would. My friends and I are still playing BO4...sadly I think we will be playing it for another year.

Even at that Blackout had it's problems but it was still more tolerable than Warzone imo (it's nt perfect either), the multiplayer however was complete garbage and the furthest thing from what CoD is supposed to be. The same goes for BO3 as well, both of them should've never been called Black Ops.

Pretty easy. No reason to force everybody to play a certain way. Have a ranked and a regular playlist. Not everyone wants to devote their relaxation time to a game where they face the same guns over and over and play the same skill level of players every match with no variety

I agree, the visibility is so shit, it's not just Thunder's old man eyes. I can't tell what is part of the surrounding scenery and what is another player when looking quickly at a distance.
Also, I just low how I keep getting melted instantly while it takes half my mag to put down the other person... if I'm lucky.
Go and play a few rounds of Battlefield 5 then come back, you will be able to see everyone.

@@user-bi2me1kj7p enh, imo it plays nothing like MW. I actually have a somewhat good time playing this beta. MW was miserable and the beta was a struggle. Unless I get thrown in lobbies where I'm playing against a 6 man lvl31s on satellite where the entire other team is running XM4s holding down every damn lane I usually go anywhere from double to triple positive running around with an MP5.
I'm not kidding btw, me and my buddy played a game against a 6 man group of tryhards that were all lvl31 and had every single lane covered. I ended up going like 6-15 before me and my buddy said it wasn't worth the pain and just quit out. Can't believe that kids are playing like this in a fucking beta. Kids weren't trying to push for a 3 cap or nothing on us. They were all content holding the 2 cap while head glitching with XM4s.
I'm sure you don't care about my boring story, but I had to rant about that experience lmao
When this game is fully released and we have Nuketown, Summit and Firing Range. I'm 99% sure the only other map I'll wanna play is Moscow.

The frag grenade is broken... the splash damage on them is like getting hit by a nuke. When your character goes to throw a frag grenade, it takes a year and a day to throw the darn thing!

I can’t agree with that. It has its problems, but it’s still far better than MW 2019. You can actually move in this game, and camping is nowhere near as much of a problem. I’ll put up with most of these issues if it means I don’t have to deal with camping as much.

To lose weight you need to be in calorific deficit with calculated modular macro nutrient goals. The refrainment from poor food choices such a simple vs complex carbohydrates would, in theory, combined with the intense focus required to play COD, conclude you to lose a few pounds.

You can tell how bad things are with our society when you can't even have fun in a video game anymore. I blame streaming. These Gen Z and Mills want to be like Ninja but never will. Doing finger exercises before playing and playing 12 hours a day like virgin losers. Years ago I could multiplay any shooter and no one even cared who won or lost or about k/d. We just cared about having fun and getting into some good fights. This shit now a days really sucks man. And don't even get me started on COD. No good games since BO2. And this shit in the Beta and people are cheating already? I think I'll save $70 and hundreds of hours of frustration and just pass.

I'm on Xbox, I'm not enjoying this game at all, maps are mediocre, gun sounds are uninspired, ambient audio is boring, the movement is clunky and I hate the sliding, MW nailed the sliding, it is balanced and doesn't boost you. And the spam of nades and stuns in annoying, I regret pre-ordering, I'm not touching this game until search and destroy comes out

Sbmm isn't the problem. The player base is the problem. Why does sbmm prevent you from trying new things?? Oh thats right because you might get your ass handed to you if you do and if thats happening then cod isn't fun. Why do people have to get high kill games to have fun? Sbmm isn't a problem. You can still have fun. Activision is trying to make money AND get away from cods usual "just run around and shoot people" style. If games are hard, learn how to out play your opponents and win. Its that simple.
Cod is changing from a game thats all about "shoot, kill, try not to die" to a more team based play that takes real thinking and skill to win and have fun. You idiots that claim to be so good at cod act like you're the only ones who have it hard. News flash: if everyone in a lobby is on a similar skill level, everyone is going to be sweating to win. Some will sweat different. Noobs will have just as hard of a time as skilled players.
Bottom line is cod is no longer the game to look for consistent high kill games just so people feel like a badass. You'll have to get your dopamine fix a different way from now on. Deal with it.
Um no cod is design for players to have fun, playing a game and having to sweat over and over again isn’t fun. We are not trying to play a mlg tournament ever game we play. What's so hard about having a SBMM, league play style playlist that rotates the eSports modes and maps and a regular playlist with no or mild SBMM? Nobody wants to sweat every single game in a stacked squad, especially in the non-objective modes like TDM, FFA and KC. Anyone that does is lying to themselves.

Thats what I thought, looks like a cheesy Indie game, there's literally nothing cool, exciting or interesting in this game that would make me wanna play, its like the first CoD ever released.
The graphics are better in cw then in mw... and in mw the camping was to much. Yes you can have campers here and there but most people where camping in that game.
The thing is tho, MW is made for garbage players with the most garbage playstyle such as the devs who admitted that their maps were made to give players a "safe space" aka for campers. MW is also overrun by SBMM crackheads that only make the game more corrosive. I agree the same operator bs is just stupid but I assume they will separate operators as this will be a huge complaint. Cold War overall feels more of a CoD than MW ever dreams of being, I also agree that MW has the better graphics and gun mechanics but don't make it seem like its drastically inferior. Cold War's are still good and I can play CW anyyy day over wannabe CSGO.
Do people really not realize that if you play on console right now... you wont get the good graphics? The game is made for the next gen, so they had to turn the graphics down. Watch any pc gameplay with a decent pc and you know how it will look on ps5/xbox series x.
@Joshua Haynes It litterally looks almost the same as mw 2019... but with updated graphics... not even that updated, but it is still better. Watch any side by side and/or learn how the settings work... I play on a pretty bad pc, but i still get better graphics then on ps4. I played on both. So go do some research...
Thunder, I’m surprised you haven’t said anything about getting only 50 score a kill in TDM. It’s only the beta, but they need to move it up to 100 per kill when the game launches

Thunder seriously, get your self a dummy account, and with that I mean make a fresh account, play at least 5-10 games like a bot, so no sprinting/sliding, only hipfire, spray as much bullets in the air as you can, run into enemy fire. Then make that account search for a lobby, when finding a lobby that is at least 11/12 players (in combined arms its way easier since mostly more spots are open like 20/24 players), session join with your main account, leave the dummy account in the lobby until the match started, then back out with the dummy account, so now with team balancing since your main account always gets into the same team as your dummy, now theres one free spot in your team, so the next player that will join this game will be on your team and since your main account is in the lobby, SBMM will pick a sweaty player and put them into your lobby. So you get a good teammate :D This is what I´ve been doing since MW, basically pulling a massive uno reverse card on SBMM lmao
I'm on PC and i can tell the way off especially in moscow sometime you end up not seeing the enemy and he is right infront of you and not mention your team and the enemy team look the same.

There’s some weird lag comp aim throw going on for people along with the sbmm
The bit about the “just for fun class” really hit home. I never thought about it that way until you said it but it’s 100% true. In all the older cod’s (pre-infinite warfare) I always had one or multiple screw around classes that I could use, have fun using and still do restively well enough that it was viable. In Modern warfare especially, I don’t have a single “for fun” class. All 10 slots taken up by the meta weapons/load outs because you can’t remain competitive unless you MP5/M4 bunny hop slide your way through every lobby. What CoD has turned into is a sad state of affairs.

I feel like people are being too harshh on this beta because of MW 2019, is not even that bad, most of the complaints I heard I didn't find them in the actual game when I played today. I came to play with such low expectations cause of all the rant videos on this game, but what they said is barely an issue, I felt the SBMM crawling in after a few hours of gameplay, yet I still had fun, Miami is not that caotic and boring (Unless you play TDM on it, it can get boring) , barely saw any snipers in that map, and I was so ready for them, just to be surprised. Armada has a lot of freedom and it lets you decide how you wanna play the game and I think that's great, the movement is okay, it doesn't have to be changed, the more realsitic the more is gonna probably drag you down ganeplay wise (Realistic does not equal fun) plus it feels more like a black ops, and I personally like that. The new scorestreak is pretty forgiving and I like it, tho for nostalgia's sake it would be good to have a classic scorestreak system that the people who love it can choose it. I did found some visibility problems, but not as much as MW and definetly not because they had the same operators, sometimes they just blend in, but I found the health bar to help a lot in those situations most of the time (unless they are too far away).I obviusly can't say that is better than any game because is just a beta (Tho I personally prefer this beta over MW) so yeah, but I feel like people are trying to criticize every corner of the game as much as they can, it has potential to be even better than what it is, and if it the community was more positive about this then they could put more effort in the game, but constantly blaming the game for the bad choices u make as a player (which I make a lot of the time) and just hating in everything in general is really discouraging.
I'm with you dude, I'm enjoying this game much more than I ever did on MW2019. And for some reason Thunders issues with mistaking his teamates for the enemy bc of the operators hasn't really been an issue for me, not that I wouldn't like seeing some kind of team dependent change to it.
For me it's just SBMM but everything else is fine which is why I stopped playing MW because of the heavy SBMM

@@mateoconnor9282 I understand that, I quit MW mostly cuz of bad servers inn my area, plus I just really didn't enjoy it much, there is no variety and I feel like I have to constantly stick to a meta, so far I enjoyed every gun in the CW beta, that may change, but for now it's good.
But yeah, SBMM can be really annoying to have at all times and I really feel like it should be separated, ranked and casual, and give some rewards for ranked match so try hards and sweats actually get rewards for tryharding , kinda like COD mobile

Sbmm is ruining this game not the glitches, glitches will be fixed but the sbmm won't be. I had one decent game yesterday and then it was all against full party level 30 sweats. I don't mind playing against good players sometimes but trying your hardest every single match is not fun.

@@triggamortis7356 No do alot of practicing with bots lol but when i go into real games after a long session with them I seem to get lobbies where players are extremely accurate...unusually accurate as opposed to when i jump straight into multiplayer. It may sound far fetched but i've experienced it enough to believe the sbmm spies on you as long as you are online even in custom games. I'm playing bots offlne from now on.

I was fortunate enough to not play mw2019 and I don't think ill be playing this one. Which is sad because treyarch hasn't released a bad game... yet perhaps
what????? BO3 and BO4 were horrible and the furthest things from what CoD is supposed to be lol. This game is the best thing they've released in a good while but it still needs a lot of polishing and fixing. Despite its flaws I'm actually having kinda fun in Cold War it's more of a Black Ops and CoD than BO3 and BO4 ever will be.

And had streaks that went ham, and good maps and all the guns were good, specialist were awesome if you got a lot of score, but are easily countered. Oh and it didn't have sweat based match making.

A perfect example of how much sbmm ruins call of duty games, it’s still in the beta but I don’t think sbmm will be removed
The way they should do it is if I want to play sbmm I go to ranked mode/Playlist, if I want to play casual with anyone they should of done public/casual mode
Sbmm isn't the problem. The player base is the problem. Why does sbmm prevent you from trying new things?? Oh thats right because you might get your ass handed to you if you do and if thats happening then cod isn't fun. Why do people have to get high kill games to have fun? Sbmm isn't a problem. You can still have fun. Activision is trying to make money AND get away from cods usual "just run around and shoot people" style. If games are hard, learn how to out play your opponents and win. Its that simple.
Cod is changing from a game thats all about "shoot, kill, try not to die" to a more team based play that takes real thinking and skill to win and have fun. You idiots that claim to be so good at cod act like you're the only ones who have it hard. News flash: if everyone in a lobby is on a similar skill level, everyone is going to be sweating to win. Some will sweat different. Noobs will have just as hard of a time as skilled players.
Bottom line is cod is no longer the game to look for consistent high kill games just so people feel like a badass. You'll have to get your dopamine fix a different way from now on. Deal with it.

connection feels better, i also downloaded it on PC to try it there too and it feels like a entirely different game, it feels so much better than on ps4.

It's useless complaining about it and you can still have fun with strict SBMM just outplay the sweats, yes gunfight is going to be a sweaty but nowadays you gotta be sweat too

That ain't fun bruh I don't wanna have to pre aim every corner and use the most OP guns just to stand a chance I like to go for all the camos and that's gonna be impossible with SBMM when it comes to like the pistols and the guns that just ain't as good as others.. Even sweats don't like playing other sweats but this Cod is getting a league play.. So maybe most of the sweats might go in there here is hoping anyway I'm more casual then I am sweaty if I have to sweat I will but its never a fun time

that's literally MW bro lol, aim assist for the most part helps me out with people poking their heads out in Cold War. MW was just "fuck it, here ya go have free accuracy with mounting and let your head be protected by the wall". You need extremely focused aim to kill them and even that is a coin flip.
My AK47 class has the fore grip, extended barrel, fast mags, quick draw, and muzzle brake. It’s one of my favorite guns in the beta, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to level it up that well because I work all weekend. Good luck with all the sweats this weekend.

With this heavy of sbmm, they might as well take note of the most used class setups and streaks and remove everything else for the full game because you’re not gonna be able to test out anything else the way these lobbies are set up. Sbmm is literally ruining the experience

Thunder you can turn off your team mates's health bar and name, so you only see enemies red health bar. Makes it easier to differentiate.
