I really like the concept, although it's looking a lot like a paper mario reskin with some changes of dialogue I hope they can get the time to also differentiate the zones layouts a bit along with mechanics and enemies cuz that would this extremely cool
This mod is very good, but if I had one major complaint, it’s really the dialogue. Some of it is fine, but it feels very off putting to see an “Oh my God”, “WTF”, and “Crap”. It feels off putting, especially since this game mod is clearly following how characters act but then practically just add in edgy words that I cannot see in a Mario game, even if it is a mod. Seeing the word “kill” and “execution” being thrown around so often is off putting, too. Sure, the original mentioned kill, but that was over a presumed murder and seemed to never have occurred again. I also dislike Dark Bowser/Dark Star’s portrayal. He comes off as overly comedic and just speaks nothing like Dark Bowser in Bowser’s Inside Story. Dark Bowser was and shouldn’t be a comedic villain. That role is primarily Fawful. As far as I seen, Fawful seems to be completely fine as to how he’s portrayed. Either way, this looks like a really cool mod to play. Also, Toad’s so casually being mentioned to be extinct and Bowser taking over the Mushroom Kingdom (I know, other timeline) throws me off. In my opinion, it would work better if it seemed to take place in the literal Koopa Kingdom. Of course, with all my complaints, it’s still a very good mod. I know it’s basically the original Paper Mario with a different coat of paint, but I don’t mind that. It has a lot of creativity behind it. I don’t like the first partner, but I like the next two. I like how Dry Bones heads are taken compared to Koopa shells being stolen. Also, the Paper Mario remixes of other Mario & Luigi games is a treat to see. I love the Shroobs, they seem quirky. I also love how much effort was put in with revamping the sprites of enemies and giving them their own creative spin. Also the Scuttlet dialogue is great.

@@IvanFranco120 Nintendo nowadays is too afraid of more creativity in their games. They just want to keep their cash cows alive by playing it simple and repetitive instead of playing it hard with the ball with the concepts and ideas in a lot of their latest games in their biggest IPs most notably in Mario.

It is well made in most aspects, but I feel it tried to hard to be edgy It really needs polishing, but that doesn't erase the fact that it is indeed well made for a reskin mod
Also do you think there is a way to get past the demo without using fireball of bone attacks? Like maybe the custom Pow Block or something along those lines of another item? :)
After playing as much of this as i could honestly, don't bother. It's not a TERRIBLE rom hack, but its just a low quality (Not to be confused with low effort) reskin of paper mario. If you want to replay paper mario and have some different dialog, this is the hack for you, but nothing else has really changed.
Kinna cool, new music and some cool ideas...but that's it. Bowser's big figure makes hitting most blocks janky af. The switch between Chatty Koopa and silent protag is a bit jarring... Not to mention the Scutlet dialogue is ridiculous...But I love the concept.

So Bowser’s partners are basically gender bent versions of Mario’s.
That's one way to reuse characters of the original version.
To be fair, Mario's partners were mostly just modifyed enemy designs.
