i was born in 1998 but recently this videos have been making me so happy and have been helping me with my mental health. idk why , they just make me feel safe and comfy.
I want to thank you for everything you do with these videos. Been having a rough week, starting with having to put down my elderly cat, and these videos help take my mind off.
7:52- this is one of my top five favorite 80s commercials. I believe it was aired for several years between the early and mid-80s. I love the use of “Canon in D” here.
I finally get to watch tonight (since I live on the other side of the globe hence different timezones). Both regular and decaffinated Taster's Choice was such a staple in the 90's and I remember my dad had a childhood toy that ressembled Pound Puppies (albeit life sized). *Also I didn't know that Ipanema sold formal dress shoes. In my country (specifically in malls), the brand mainly sells [expensive] beach footwear (slippers ?, slip ons) But really, thank you for your uploads admin
Pound Puppies- Somehow I doubt that a businessman in a suit would be happy to have a Pound Puppy plushie delivered to his office. Also, in the beginning of the commercial, I like how it looks like the Pound Puppy plushies can easily fit between the bars of the window. National Dairy Board- If it wasn't for the ballet dancer eating the plate of cheese in the end, I would have thought that this commercial was a PSA for ballet dancing.
A story about the Taster's Choice commercial - I once had a VHS tape of a primetime animated special block from WNYW in New York from around this time in 1986 and in between all the toy commercials that Taster's Choice ad was also in there and for the past month I remembered it and I couldn't find it anywhere on YT. At 8 years old I kept watching that ad trying to figure out how they had a coffee store in the toaster! Mystery solved!!!! That same tape also had the same ad for Shady Brook Farms turkey which I also haven't seen in over 30 years! Except it had King Kullen at the end as a participating store. Waldbaum's and Pathmark no longer exist, they were both bought by A&P who went bankrupt years ago!
Santa Barbara-he must be the main guy in charge of scriptwriting Killer In The Mirror-and no twin sister to blame it on The A-Team-no way would Hannibal's dad sell him out...

It's so relaxing watching these 80's commercials compared to the ones today. Thank you for what you do 😊
Yes. I’ll watch these old commercials when I’ve had a bad day and they give me warmth and make things seem alright.

Sorry to hear about your cat

Not gonna lie, I could watch these all day long. Thank you!👍

I love the nostalgia the question is will people look back to today and feel nostalgia I very much doubt it
Mmm... *Sade.* A rare artist whose beauty matches her talent. She was the last of the siren jazz singers.
Thanks for unlocking these from the Vault. A time capsule.
An ad for the US Dairy council, followed by a news clip about a milk surplus. I think I see a connection there.

9:44 Thanks, I needed that.
Greetings from Milan! This is a great way to end my European vacation :)
3 - Tribune TV announcer Doug Paul for KitKat! (Was a big hit on WPIX starting from the mid-80s, rest his soul...)
Chuck Scarborough and Sue Simmons.... I feel like Fountains of Wayne sung about that.
0:42 - Um…Isn’t this kid a bit young to have a party where a girl comes out of a cake?
It's a paper cake, don't worry.
@@ellacorcoran9045 yep, that’s how it starts.
Man, I had a thing for Victoria Principal back in the day. That's her in the Max Factor commercial. UPDATE: Never mind, of course it's Jaclyn Smith.
Isn’t that Jaclyn Smith?
@@RetroCirq Ugh, for crying out loud, you're right. I'm slipping as I get older...LOL

Love these ads
Yep…I’m Old 😆👍
13:12- do people put ice in plain milk? I wasn’t much of a milk drinker; however, I don’t recall ever doing that or knowing anyone that did.
I was thinking the same thing.
Never in my life have I heard of iced milk
2:00 - I don’t want to know what this guy’s bird has seen over the years. This commercial plays like an advertisement for mental health screening.
Santa Barbara-he must be the main guy in charge of scriptwriting
Killer In The Mirror-and no twin sister to blame it on
The A-Team-no way would Hannibal's dad sell him out...
I Dream of Jeanie 15 Years Later aired this past week on Sony Movie Channel.
Lady gaga was born 3 28 1986
Notice that there is not some man being made out as a buffoon in all the commercials. It seems like that is the subject of half the ads nowadays...
It's nice to see Sue Simmons without having to hear that annoying wtf are you doing sounder.
