I used to have an issue of Mad Magazine that had an advertisement for Stan Lee Press-On Nails, with Wolverine from the X-Men shilling for fake press on claws. I always think of that when I see a Press On Nail ad posted on this channel.
4:31 Total commercials have always annoyed me, because you shouldn't have to get all your DAILY allotted vitamins and minerals just at breakfast. Most people eat at least three meals a day, meaning other cereals don't need to do everything. 9:44 Imagine being a multiple Daytime Emmy winner, yet most kids only remember you as the prune lady. 😄
Post Raisin Bran- Seeing John Denver toss a raisin in his mouth in this commercial puts a smile on my face every time. National Dairy Board- Just about everything about this commercial is relaxing to me. From the music, the gentle announcer's voice, to the scenery. This could help me fall asleep at night.
Vons and Ralphs were the two grocery stores my family would shop at during the 90s and 2000s. Unfortunately, the two shops in our town closed shop and we did our grocery shopping at Stater Bros from then on.
I remember double coupons. It turned into a war between the supermarkets. Pretty soon, some of them were offering triple coupons. It was a good idea till they realized they were losing more money than they made because people weren't buying anything they didn't have a coupon for. So double and triple coupons went the way of the dodo.
Playtex Tampons-Toxic Shock..coming soon from Troma Pictures Lee Press-On Nails-loved that music..PRESS ON! Lavoris Mouthwash-with Ken Ober(r.i.p) Hill Street Blues-better pull that trigger quick Wordplay end credits-Roseanne about to make her comeback to stand-up Highway To Heaven-that was a good episode Sunsweet Prunes-with Erika Slezak National Enquirer-before Carrie Bradshaw met Ferris Bueller, she dated Alex P. Keaton Days Of Our Lives-She didn't do it Cuticura Soap-"My last name, its pronounced Big-OHH.." 😆
I've seen enough WordPlay; they were a panel of three that supplied definitions to words obscure enough for those Word-a-Day calendar thingies. Your job was to pick the correct definition. (see ad #21 for more info) Fun fact - even Maurice LaMarche played WordPlay, when he actually did stand-up! He wasn't too bad! XD
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_Dusenberry ua-cam.com/video/qGl3E-hUGyQ/v-deo.html She was a cast member on "Life With Lucy" the sitcom that Lucille Ball was promoting there. It had been cancelled by the time the episode aired but was most likely filmed in the fall of '86 when their show was still airing on ABC.
@@80sCommercialVault I remember Ann Dusenberry in the 1985 film BASIC TRAINING. She wore a little skirt in one scene and tried to seduce a Soviet agent. I was 12 at the time, and totally fell in love with her based on that scene.
Good thing that wind blew her hair in just the right way, as opposed to real life where you just get your hair right in your face, and usually around people too. 😑
This was definitely early daytime TV. As a kid you only saw these ads when you were home sick from school, or on rainy summer days.
You cant help but notice, lol. Almost every commercial is for sick people, old people, stay at home Moms, and breakfast.
"Calgon take me away!!" That never gets old.😄

Sometimes it was a little embarrassing as a teen and watching TV with Mom with all these tampon, maxi pad and Summers Eve commercials back then.
Please hurry up with the Time Machine so I can get back to the 80s

I just ate some 3 pieces of cold, huge and plump Sunsweet Prunes 😆😆 and even as a kid, I loved prunes (I was influenced by my dad)
I just found out about Wordplay last year - such a good game show that didn't last all that long. RIP Tom Kennedy!
23. Yes that is definitely Rob Paulsen. I'd recognize his over-the-top voice anywhere.

RIP John Denver
Ayofemi was on Tic Tac Dough in 1980, Jeopardy in 1985, and the Challengers in 1990
6:36 - Must have been a celebrity contestant episode, as I think those are Ned Beatty, Roseanne Barr, and Stephen Furst.

100% Florida Orange Juice ad definitely has that 80s tune - Turn on the Juice!
Loved seeing Estelle Getty and Betty White! ❤
Lee Press-on Nails, brought to you by...Paul Hardcastle?
I think you're right about the SelecTV VO.
Turn on the juice,
Good for orange juice, but not what you want to hear in an electric chair.
Kari Wuhrer in the Florida Orange Juice Commercial
I noticed that too!
John Denver raisin brand, Hell, I’ll have a bowl 🥣

It's a young Charles Shaughnessy(The Nanny/General Hospital) on Days Of Our Lives😁📺
I used to think the Calgon commercials were so cheesy
13:31 - One way to make housework easier...Move into a house with helpful paranormal activity, apparently...
Who's that actress setting next to Lucy on Super Password?
