Hi bro, I am proud of what you do. It takes alot of sacrifice and time to serve people and their needs. You and your organization do a marvelous job. Love your videos. God bless. Regards from Bougainville.
I think that’s legitimately the most beautiful landing I’ve seen, what a show of skill. I thought the view on final was good but then you managed to top it lol
So inspiring to watch folks working at activities that make the world a better place! And then combining that with amazing attention to detail and professionalism... love this channel!
I flew jump seat on many cargo flights around South America in the late 70's in jets as old as 20 years back then. No palletized cargo systems or tech. I'd heard rumors that some of the pilots kept a bottle of scotch handy in the cockpit. Our flight out of Panama was delayed as the plane we were to use had crashed on take off in Venezuela. The crashed plane had Peter Frampton's sound equipment on it. The Sound engineer and the flight crew did not survive. Just to add more drama, the 20+ year old standby jet we go to replace the one that crashed took an awfully long time to leave the ground and when it did the cargo shifted. A sensation few people live to describe. You guy's are a different breed. Hat's off to you!
I’m a retired career airline pilot. I’ve been all over the world but I’ve never seen anything like this. It looks like a dream job to an old fart at 77 years of age. A short runway for me is 6000 feet , lol. This was a great video and I envy you.😊
Hi Ryan...I am happy to see that you are back in PNG. I plan to pick up where I left off after your return to the states. You are the best. Thank you for your dedication and education to those of us unfamiliar with the culture and the people of PNG. Aloha from Maui
I'm learning to fly, and I'm getting very close to my check ride. Practicing off field landings on short grass strips, in a PA28-140, was the most nervous flying I have done. But after a while I got confident doing them. Watching your videos have helped me greatly in showing me that it can be done, and done safely. Just run the checklists, follow the procedures for short and soft fields, and stay focused. So thanks for showing me it can be done. Cheers from Winnipeg. (edit: BTW, I think your coffee table book is at my post office ready for pickup! YAY!)
Great flying PNG is such a beautiful country to live work and fly. When we flew Boug Air in the 70s we always said we fly on a wing and a prayer .. many times it was so right. Keep up the great work you're doing Ryan. Bushyboy Oz
I'm really impressed with waterfalls and rugged terain at Yawan. It looks very challenging for sure. Sounds like there will be a lot of flights with building supplies. Thanks Ryan, great video.
Qué gran labor está haciendo Este capitán al llegar a esos sitios tan lejanos Yo pienso que él no lo hace tanto por la paga sino porque le gusta ayudar a la comunidad humilde Gracias Dios por existir personas como Este capitán
Every flight you have is so risky that it's a live or death situation in landing on those runway . But the way to proceed it is so claim that you are able to do that in a regular basis is just truly amazing.
These videos are spectacular. I have always enjoyed watching different flight videos, but most of those are jet airliners with the most up-to-date technology and you’re putting this together almost ad hoc with a little or no guidance. You are a consummate professional.
It never ceases to amaze me the places people are fortunate enough to live. Waking up in a quiet village nestled between lush green mountains and breathtaking waterfalls, no traffic noise, no hum of electricity. Sure it may be considered primitive by the standards of people living in the west but I don't think it is a bad thing. Keep doing the Lord's work bro and stay safe out there!
Thank you for showing such details and explaining stuff relating to the flying! Really enjoyed seeing all the things you have to think about. Great video! Blessings.
God Bless you sir for the service you do. Challenging terrain to navigate, demands excellent skill. Thank You for sharing the flight and the brain work to live through it.
Your videos are great and very enjoyable to watch. I do have an idea of how much you love it because I spent a few 1000 hours Island hoping my 172 to almost every Island in the Caribbean. It's the most relaxing and calming thing that can be imagined.
Great approach and landing on that mountain valley...gotta have brass ones to pull that off...I can imagine the first landings in PNG had to be like "What the... lol Great flying Ryan...well done !
Simply amazing to me the skills and professionalism you possess to continue performing your job successfully. Thank you for the good, clean, and informative video.
Wow Ryan. I was "twitchy" during your setup and landing on this one. I'm glad you are doing the flying! Thanks once again for sharing your mission with us.
My dad had a flyers license, dreaming of a glider, but airspace rules ? ,xulu ,dec,8 ? When tom cruise did it ,it looked fun...damn such a complicated bird
Your videos are very informative, and useful I enjoy everything you share with us.. I would like to thank you very much Ryan for your efforts ... Amine from Algeria

Un mec oui, mais surtout un pilote ,un VRAI. Courage et santé.

Retired airline captain here too!
.......Not quite as thrilling as a night carrier landing, on a pitching deck?
@@georgehandel5908 Quite true.
Missionary Bush Pilot, l consider that you're a smart pilot. I like it.
i specifically bought flight sim just to fly and land in the mountains in PNG because of your videos. I love the way you keep yourself safe.
Great 👍. You should check out my flight Sim course on the Kodiak. You'll learn how to fly a turbine
God bless you and your ministry to the people you serve and the pilots who learn execellent piloting procedures from your videos.
Ryan, fantastic flying. Thanks for taking us along.

You always hit the deck right when the stall horn goes off! It’s like you are one with that plane! Amazing work!
That’s how I was taught as a kid. I still do that to this day.

Great to hear you're feeling more comfortable with the grass strip landings. They made me nervous too when I started. Enjoy the book

We've heard reports of unrest in PNG, with riots in Port Moresby. Stay safe Ryan. Hope this doesn't impact the great work you are doing.
Hasn't impacted us yet
that riots happened in the city not in the remote areas like Ryan is flying.
@@mathiastogola9368 That's good. Port Moresby is Ryan's ATC and I'm just hoping that was not affected.
Ryan doesn't have to worry about what's happening in POM he's pretty much in the safe part of PNG
Thank you Ryan for your unselfish dedication. Always love these videos!
When the beat dropped on that music for the time lapse I definitely felt it. Great video, keep it up!
I'm really impressed with waterfalls and rugged terain at Yawan. It looks very challenging for sure. Sounds like there will be a lot of flights with building supplies. Thanks Ryan, great video.
The landing and take-off were the most spectacular to watch at the end of this video. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Wow Ryan. I was "twitchy" during your setup and landing on this one. I'm glad you are doing the flying! Thanks once again for sharing your mission with us.
I'm nervous about a barrel getting loose on such a small plane.
That looks like a carrier landing with the carrier hidden behind mountains until the last moment.
Great job again showing and telling, see ya next time see ya bye.
Thats was epic, short field landing and take-off is challenging mate
My dad had a flyers license, dreaming of a glider, but airspace rules ? ,xulu ,dec,8 ? When tom cruise did it ,it looked fun...damn such a complicated bird
