    Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time.
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

Loved seeing the family who took you in when you were in need. My father traveled the world as a news correspondent for ABC and when I decided to move away from the States and live in Japan he gave some advice that I've kept with me all these years: No matter where you are, you will find that the vast majority of the people will do everything they can to help you when you are in need. It doesn't matter where you're from, what you believe in, etc. If you need help, people will help. It's nice to see his words ringing true in Peru as well. A wonderful moment of kindness and compassion.

Kara and Nate make me so very proud that they are Americans: Struggling very hard to speak Spanish (and getting better!), being courteous, trying not to judge local people based on their own customs and culture, and being wonderfully appreciative of people who help along the way. Thank you both very much!

I love the mix between the swanky expensive, far out crazy, and completely off the beaten path (so much that you may need a machete) adventures that you experience and share with us. 28:16 - another adventure and another bout of Kara feeling badly. It’s times like these when I’d like for her to read comments like these: that no matter how many times she falls or busts some equipment. She always gets right back up and doesn’t quit. Adventure after adventure, there’s Kara getting pumped and psyching herself for the journey ahead. I absolutely love that spirit! It make you see and experience so much more of life than just quitting. You are an inspiration!

I think this was one of your best episodes. Your experience staying with that Peruvian family was pure gold. During my travels many years ago, I also ended up sleeping in a bed in a kitchen...in Hungary. But it was a very boring kitchen. No guinea pigs, no dance parties, and no mama coming in at dawn to chop wood. Little did I know what I was missing.

Hi, my name is Emily Weiss. I have been working on opening myself up to new experiences as I move to Colorado, USA in June. I have always admired Kara (and Nate, of course) for how you try new things with such a bright perspective. Going through this year asking myself, "What would Kara do?" Over the past few years, I have watched all of your adventures and been inspired to do and see more in my lifetime. I guess I wanted to thank you for always showing the world that you limit yourself by the opportunities you don't take. Kara and Nate, please never change who you are. Also, FWIW, in all the Spanish-speaking countries I've visited, saying 'no meat' is usually interpreted as no red meat or no cow meat. If you do want to try to eat vegetarian, you gotta specify no meat, no chicken, no cuy, no fish, etc.

its one thing to do all this with all the hardships on this adventure and have to focus on it. Its another thing to have to require yourself to be mindful to keep filming and be cognizant and just be able to do all that with all the troubles. Mad respect to you two. I would love to be your best friends! You guys are goals!

YES. These are the Kara and Nate I have been missing! Silly fun showing the not always photogenic sides of a country with an activity that everyday Joe & Jane can see themselves doing, instead of first class, champagne, yachts, million dollar camper vans and the likes (not like they haven't earned it!). I miss van life a little 😆

I'm confused why this adventure costs £1400 per person, plus £300 deposit. A week rental for those bikes shouldn't cost that much and there is no support or even a map during the ride. What does the money go to? So for an "adventure anyone can do", it's pretty expensive, since you still need to pay for food, accomodations, fuel, and likely the international travel.

This was beautiful to watch!

You are both so respectful of other cultures, races, poorer families, children and animals. Just simple kindness keeps you safe. The support you give each other no matter what is wonderful to see.
I think your tandem bicycle ride was easier. Stay safe and keep your spirits up. All of America needs to see the way you treat the life you live and the unconditional respect for all peoples.

It's honestly refreshing to see the bad sides of the adventures too. Sometimes it seem like ya'll are happy go lucky and high energy all the time and that ya'll are able to just handle everything like a champ, but the end of the video just reminded me that it isn't always like that, and I'm glad ya'll still filmed it even though you could tell Nate was miserable.

Kara and Nate! Thank you for sharing this video. It showed in a beautiful way the heart of gratitude and generosity! My wife and I we have been missionaries in Mexico for over 5 years, and before I met my wife I traveled to a lot of remote towns in the central area of Mexico. And by far my most memorable experience was when I was hosted by a family that was living in a similar condition as the family that welcomed you. They didn’t had plumbing or gas for cooking. But the little they had, they gladly shared, and you could feel their generous heart in everything. So again, thank you for showing the unsung generous heroes that maybe they might not be able to travel to a lot of countries, but they have traveled to our hearts!

Similar colors and style with the way the belly is done, but It's not the Buc-ee's Beaver onesie Nate bought. That has a wide flat tail (like a Beaver, of course, lol), a red shirt that doesn't detach, and a different face/head with Buck teeth dangling off the front. But I did think that was what they had on at first when I saw it on their Instagram account a long while back till Kara showed it off better!

After watching this episode I genuinely think that Nate has a secret email Kara doesn’t know about where he receives emails telling him about the crazies, scariest, stupidest experiences he and Kara could be apart of. That has to be the only way he finds out about these races, hikes, tallest ladders in the world, etc. Kara is such a great sport for always going along. Nate really did hit the jackpot when he married her.😂😂😂😂😂😂
