- Tanzania: Young Guns on the Road | World's Most Dangerous Roads
World's Most Dangerous Roads - All Episodes: • World’s Most Dangerous...
In Africa, in the mountains in the heart of Tanzania lies the country’s most dangerous road. It‘s Name: Mlima Kitonga. This most dangerous section of the A7 highway is just eight kilometers long. But the gradient is extreme. And the abyss is deep. Dangerous passing maneuvers whether with trucks or fully loaded tankers are the rule, not the exception. Every day hundreds of coaches and trucks negotiate the passage. By no means do all of them make it.
But the highway is also the lifeline of the region, especially for the young generation. The average age in Tanzania is just seventeen years. The population is growing rapidly and everyone is anxious to get from A to B as well as to get jobs. Because of that, despite all the difficulties numerous farmers manage to survive, thanks to the Highway.
Not only bus driver Alberto will be at the wheel on the most dangerous road in Tanzania. Also driving teacher Mnyama has to bring his students to the right level of being able to drive in this region. A driving school offers the young generation a chance to get a job and by that have the chance for a better future.
Anyways the Highway allows numerous businesses like onion farmers and garages for trucks to thrive. And as the Tanzanian population keeps growing, it is only a matter of time before more and more young guns will start to hit that road.

Nice unbiased documentary. BTW, baboons not monkeys
Am really impressed this documentary
As a Swahili native speaker from the Kenyan Swahili Coast, I must say that the English translator(s) has(have) done the viewers a great disservice by a below par translation service. I notice that much of the translation is bereft of the rich and colour of Swahili that is spoken here. A lot is being lost in translation denying the viewers proper context of what they are watching. And trust me, the context is way richer than what the English translation is portraying. Otherwise, love the videography that shows how beautiful the country and its citizens are.
Hi. Are there new episodes of the most dangerous ways to school? I've really, really enjoyed watching the old episodes.

I am Filipino. When I first began working in the maritime industry as a seafarer, I met Zaif, a Tanzanian national, along with Yorgo and Stelyo, Greek nationals, who worked as ship technicians. They were masters at their craft, and I am grateful to them for treating me like a real brother and teaching me valuable life lessons. Wherever you are now, I wish you good health and a happy life. God bless you, and thank you.
Re a good soul.
From what I heard about the shipping industry is that it's like 1/3 Filipino and the other 2/3 is like the United Nations
It always feels great to find a very accurate and unbiased foreign produced documentary about my country. Well done and keep visiting Tanzania. Karibu Sana! 🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿
Kwa kweli. Totally ubiased! He did great job!

Beautiful country. I'm a Kenyan, who fell in love with Tanzania. Kitonga is to Tanzania what Limuru - Maai-Mahiu is to Kenya, especially at night.
Tanzania my neighbour, much love from your brothers uganda 🇺🇬 ❤
Tanzania, a nation renowned for its warm hospitality, thriving agricultural landscape, delectable cuisine, and remarkable absence of lawlessness, has been a destination I've had the pleasure of visiting on two occasions.
Proud to see my country on this documentary. 🇹🇿
Watching from Haiti 🇭🇹 I love Tanzania🇹🇿 ,🇭🇹🫱🏾🫲🏿🇹🇿
Beautiful country Tanzania 🇹🇿!!!
Just before i watched this documentary, i had watched another documentary from DRC on their most dangerous roads and what i saw as compared to this Tanzanian documentary was an eye opener. Where it takes 8 hours for Tanzanians to travel on their dangerous road, it actually takes Congolese a month on pretty much almost the same distance. Beutiful Tanzania Its as good as there are no roads to talk about in DRC.
We need more episodes from deadliest roads
Ingenious and hard working young people. Gives me hope for Africa
My lovely country Tanzania 🇹🇿, with most kind people in the world
Much love from Uganda 🇺🇬, I love East Africa 🇺🇬🇰🇪🇹🇿♥️ thanks for the documentary 🙏
Much love from Kenya to our fellow east african neighbour country Tanzania, its is very vast wow
The resilience of the people in Tanzania, who navigate the treacherous Mlima Kitonga road daily, is truly inspiring. It's a lifeline for the region, enabling opportunities for the younger generation and sustaining businesses. This documentary highlights their determination and the importance of this road. Thank you for sharing their story.
Inspiring documentary 👌🏽. Tanzanian people, you are a beacon of hope for Africa from your South African brother 💪🏽👏🏼
Lived in Tanzania for two years back in 19 and 20” and it was one of the best two years of my life.. So many loving people there and in mother Africa in general.
i remember using this road for the first time in 2021, wondering how this channel haven't made a documentary about that road and now here we are
Watching From Rosebank RSA more love to Tanzania ❤️
From what i am able to see life in Tanzania is relatively more comfortable when compared to other less fortunate African nations. Good for them 👍🏼
We are comfortable with our situation because we are the most peaceful nationa in Africa, this is because we have a tendency of taking other peoples misfortune as our own and we consider ourselves as children of the same family❤
I must say Tanzania has the best road compared to many African countries ,in fact I think Tanzania will be one of my first African country I will visit ❤️🙌.🇿🇦
As always am excited to dive right into it. Hullo jirani wetu. 🇰🇪🇰🇪
God will use this young man's farming situation and propel him to greater heights. He must stay strong
Some say Africa is poor yet from these documentaries will realize the difference 😅..

This documentary is fresh-taking because it is pure. The narator unlike other westen narators, has taken the reality the way it is without adding biases. Congratulations.

I love Tanzania so much, it'll be the first country I go to when I visit Mama Africa ❤ 🇹🇿 love from Canada 🇨🇦
ubarikiwe ❤❤❤
Hands up if you also fell instantly in love with Flora!
But overall: these young people are all admirable. The way they navigate through their country and through life is inspiring for many youngsters in Western nations that have plenty of opportunity but don't take it because.... well, spoiled AF.
I bless the rains down in Africa ♥
This is the most authentic documentary ever. Big up my neighbours Tanzania
Leave some for his babe
No way, there's nothing authentic about it.
@@Am77-007How so?
This is very informative, real and unbiased. One thing I like is order on their roads. I've only been upto Arusha via Namanga border and Moshi via Oloitoktok border. Soon I'll visit more land. Nimeona kuna scenery safi safi.

@@FreeDocumentarythe bad road you filmed past in Kigoma region of Tanzania is all now tarmacked and it's one of the most beautiful road we have with more than 350 kilometers, not bad to come over there and film the aftermath so people can understand Africa's progressive too
Good idea for sure

I haven't even watched the video yet but i have to say this as an African from Zambia,i love Tanzania...the people are resilient and extremely hard working. Having your own land & growing your own food is definitely better than depending on others for employment in warehouse’s,factories, etc in foreign countries.
I really enjoyed watching this documentary of my beloved Country Tanzania 🇹🇿 brings back a lot of memories when I used to travel from Dar to Iringa and Mbeya, feeling a bit of homesickness !

The same with me
lots of Kenyans 🇰🇪🇰🇪watching and really love this documentary🫡
The driving class was..different. I tell ya he was happy with his corn cause he has his purpose. Ameen to that.☺️ Bless Tanzania🌸
I visited Mbeya back in 2008. I took my wife with me and she was shocked by steepness and treacherous of the slopes. Her heart nearly jumped off her mouth during overtaking. She vowed never to cross the region again. On our way back home in Dar, we diverted to Dodoma only to be astonished by nearly the same slopes, Iringa - Dodoma route. She had planned never to return on the Southern Highlands ever.
😀

Beautiful documentary thanks 👍
Watching from Malawi🇲🇼🇲🇼 sending love to all Tanzanians
My (an Indian) loving Namaste to all African brothers and sisters..... ❤❤
I love the ambitious farmers, we need more people like them
It's a great documentary. Informative. I am shocked to know the way driving school teaches the students. They are far ahead than Indian driving schools I have experienced. There is no classroom teaching, books, note books, notes, illustrations, black boards, vehicle models, etc. in India. Moreover, here there is only one student in the vehicle. In India, the students have to sit directly behind the wheels, and the teacher starts teaching. There are minimum 10-12 students in the vehicle. Everybody gets 10-15 minutes to drive. The vehicle comes back after a round is completed. Thanks for sharing.
watching from philipines ❤🇹🇿

Great documentary channel. I have travelled across Africa via these documentaries. Thank you ❤ from Kenya 🇰🇪. Tanzania is a great country.
love from Tanzania. Karibu sana....Land of Hakuna Matata and Swahili.
As a Tanzanian i can agree, its the scariest road when travelling. So many accidents. One slip up and you are gone.
I hope to visit Tanzania or any african country someday. I actually wanna buy alot of onions too coz it’s very cheap and looks good!
