      I totally agree with you. I’ve tried quite a few remedies, mainly with my dogs, and have save them from getting antibiotics; actually homeopathy works better than anything a vet can give to Lady - she gets a flare up, I get the ledum P. out…by the next day, no lameness. CBD for arthritis stiffness/pain. P.E.A for aches (I give daily, needs accumulative effect) All these thing are alternative treatments. And keep your animals healthy. I’m just now learning what to give our cats :-). Dr Woodley’s video was great! I’ve subscribed also.

    What about one drop of sovereign colloidal silver 10ppm in each eye a few times a day for two to three days? Thank You

    • @thenaturalpetdoctor
      @thenaturalpetdoctor  7 місяців тому +3

      Colloidal silver is another option. We still have to support our pet's internal immune system since most of these issues are due to viruses and a strong immune system is key to help prevent it from recurring.

    • @kerriw232
      @kerriw232 7 місяців тому

      @@thenaturalpetdoctor ok thank you so much for responding! Can I ask you questions related to Giardia? Do you think Turkey Tail mushrooms are another great way to boost the immune system? I won’t get into the long storey of why it took so long to figure out our adopted kitty has giardia. She has had it a minimum of 7 months being with us and she is 13 mo old. She may have had it since birth as she showed up at the shelter at 6mo of age with poop on her bum. They never mentioned anything to us about checking for parasites. Not a topic that I had any knowledge on. We just thought a previous stressful home environment. We tried herbals from Amber Natural Z (immune plus + KT Ditty) with no luck and they caused diarrhea from soft stool in the end. We tried S.Boulardii and that caused explosive diarrhea. This led us to the holistic vet. We did 8 ozone treatments plus Fenben. We have done a 5 day round of Fenben, 7 day break, 5 day round of fenben (b/c poop was still soft and smelly), 14 day break … We had a few good firm stools, no smells but the last few stools (every 2 to 3 days RAW fed) have a bit of softness at the end of the log and then a very small patty and the smell is starting to come back. She is finally onto RAW for past 3 weeks. I cannot put her through anymore rounds of Ozone as they are stressing her out the last 3 treatments even with using Rescue Remedy and a very diluted YL Copiaba down the spine (1 drop in a 15ml bottle - use only one drop of this). I am thinking Turkey Tail Mushrooms in place of the Ozone … or is there something else I should look at? I am also thinking to use Adored Beast Liver tonic during the next round of meds. This is the first time we have used this holistic vet (only option in town) and she has said a few things leaving me questioning our discussions. Is another round of Fenben going to do anything or do we have to go to an antibiotic at this point? Her system is just not fighting this off and we are so stressed out that I sit here crying most days…I just want her better but so afraid to cause harm. I really appreciate your help and trust your opinion and all the info you provide to us is so awesome! Once this is all done we will look at the kittybiome testing and FMT capsules. Then if needed, the innovative pet lab feline leaky gut test but it isn’t in Canada just yet but hopefully on it’s way. Do I just go based off her poops to determine if we do the innovative pet lab test or just do it even if good poops?

    Dr. Steve from veterinary secrets suggests a few other options… you can also brew green tea, let it cool, drop it directly into your cats eye. He also shows to make a honey and water solution that you can drop into your cats eyes. Then he shows dropping castor oil into the eye to lubricate and soothe (he even put it into his own eye). Do you agree with these options as well? Thank You

Sometimes when issues arise, we don’t have these things in the house so just like to know if you agree with the other options, as I trust your opinion. I love all the videos you have put out! The only one that felt safe to me was the castor oil to provide lubrication and a barrier to stop the irritation. Can we put the cooled camomile tea as drops directly into the eye or stick with a distilled water if we want to flush the eye?

    Sorry I have to ask, but what does ERB mean? You spoke of using different ERBS and I have no idea of what that means. Is it an acronym? I looked up the word in my dictionary (which is about as old as I am - 82) and there was no entry for it. My wife and I look after and save and house and feed and pay vet bills and heating bills for outside feral cat sheds (3 sheds - an untold number of cats and kittens) and never have any money because we have rescued / saved so many now. Local vets are non-existent, and their charges are now so phenomenally high that I'm afraid we now have to be selective in choosing which cats / kittens are in poor shape and will receive veterinary treatment. There are no shelters / agencies / shelters that can offer help as they are inundated with so many (once-a-pet) cats / dogs or whatever.

    How much salt a water? And what kind of salt?

    • @nsrayfield
      @nsrayfield 8 місяців тому

      She mentioned 1 teaspoon salt (I would use sea or Celtic/himalayean salt, not your grocery store white salt) to 1 cup of filtered water.
      Redmond Salt is a great brand to check out.

      You can use these remedies on your kittens. Organic chamomile tea on a washcloth can also help too.

    Hell yeah! 14 year old cats that are acting like kittens till this day. They're brothers and unfortunately have been exposed to herpes!

      Happy to hear that your cats are feeling great! Most cats have been exposed, but when they have strong immune systems, they can keep the virus at bay. Just like us and cold sores! One of my go-to supplements that I love is Standard Process Feline Immune Support if you are dealing with any flareups. Here's the link to check it out: thenaturalpetdoctor.standardprocess.com/products/feline-immune-system-support

    I have a female tabby cat 4 years old...the third eyelid is halfway over each eye I took her to the vets 1st vet says worms so she had a worm tablet... Waited! Eyes still have the third eyelid system...she shows zero signs of illness eats and drinks as normal...took her to another vets after examining her that vet said she has nothing wrong with her ? This has been going on for three weeks now and not a clue so I'm in two minds to go to another vets practice see what they say I don't think any vets are any good... what are your thoughts ?

      I don't know if this will help but my brother's cat had this. His Vet prescribed an ointment for the eye. Erythromycin 0.5% Oph Oint 3.5g. 3 x daily for 10 days. It worked for his cat.

      @@sandyshores5550 thanks for the reply! I'll buy some and hopefully it will work. Eyes still the same so first vet is no good she doesn't have worms. As for the second vets well they are obviously faking a living I just bombarded there reviews website with pictures... I'll try this eye ointment.
