It depends on what is going on. We need to assess the foundations to figure out what is going on to find the right path forward. Here's a free masterclass that I did to help you with some of that: ua-cam.com/video/Jrukn1wBaCg/v-deo.html I hope it helps!

I’m wondering what I could give my 12 year old cat that has constipation due to crohn's disease.
My vet wants me to keep him on over the counter laxatives but I’m worried that this will cause more health issues in the future.
Two years a go I got my cat from a elderly lady that did not want him anymore and she used to yell at him and scolded him. he was depressed and highly stressed and anxious.
He could not be a regular cat. Because of all the stress he licked himself so often that his intestines were full of hairballs when I took him over two years ago.
He hadn't been played with for years and despite everything he still suffers from stress from time to time, it comes and goes.
After my last visite to the vet I was told that he had urine in his blood and there were’nt any medical issues so they told me that it’s stress.
I am his third owner and i would like to help him and give him the best. I’m recovering from a burn-out that I got during the pandamic and I feel so sad that that is affecting him as well i really want to do good by him.
    he deserves the best.
Oh and the vet told me he has only one kidney ass well, cataracts and early osteoarthritis.
I find all this very overwhelming. what can I give him the best and help him the best I can.
    Greetings from The Netherlands,

I'm thinking itching issues is related to the gut somehow. What can I do for my cat's skin?

Gut health definitely needs to be assessed. Here's a free masterclass that can help guide you on the foundations you want to be assessing to figure out the root cause of what may be causing the itching: ua-cam.com/video/Jrukn1wBaCg/v-deo.html

Would wheat grass be ok since that's a common "cat grass"?
Also what are your thoughts on zykelene for calming an aggressive cat? It's made from casein protein so I'm concerned about not only the dairy issue but the fact that casein has been known to deplete vitamin b in cats.

Wheatgrass is totally fine to use. We use different types of organic grasses for our indoor cats to munch on if they choose for extra support. I’m always thinking of why is a cat aggressive. Is it an environmental enrichment thing, a nutritional imbalance, heavy metal/toxicity issue, gut health imbalance? Zylkene helps a lot of cats but we always want to be looking for why are we seeing that behavior/symptom. If you’re worried about vitamin B, then I recommend a VDI gut health blood test from VDI labs or a GI health panel from MSU that your vet can run so you know for sure if there’s an issue. I have not seen this cause this type of imbalance, but these tests can be helpful so you feel more comfortable when using these products. My go to are other emotional health products like CBD to help bring the body into balance like VetCS and other nutraceuticals. Here’s a link for our free guide on emotional health if you want: thenaturalpetdoctor.mykajabi.com/pl/121613. Hope that helps!

I just saw a video on here with Dr. Karen Becker who recommended giving DL Methionine to cats and dogs to help bring down the ph level with struvite urinary crystals rather than feed them the prescription foods . She recommended you add according to your pets weight a bit of this supplement . Dr. Woodley how much of this amino acid would you advise me to give my cat who weighs 15lbs. to help with his crystals ?
