Thank you for the video James 👍, as for cattle trough's, l would look at the costs with ones that are easy to clean out or replace without too much hassle and cost, I'm not sure about the hook on one's especially the ones I've seen the long-term life span of quality just isn't what it use to be, as for the puncher on the 6620, have you done the spit test on the valve? A Bit of spit on your fingers put it on the valve and see if any bubble's come up from the valve, a good way of knowing any hidden leaks from the valve, and always make sure the dirt cap is on.👍

Yeh, I think I’ll look into the easy clean metal troughs going forward.
Spit test show it doesn’t leak now, but may have done before 😂 stayed up since though!

Definitely concrete for the trough ,put some bars in in case you catch it again. What do you have in the cereal mix ?

Yeh this is most likely eventuality to be honest.
Cereal mix is currently Barley, Oats, Wheat and Beans (all roller milled) and mixed with a brought in feed from berry stock. The berry stock is mainly used to make it all last longer as we have used a lot feeding last years stock. More barley in this year though to compensate. 👍

How’s the herbal lay silage going for you? did you ever get it tested? Happy new year btw! 🎉

Herbal ley silage is going really well. Cattle love it and grow well on it. Trouble with getting it tested it that the traditional methods are a little unreliable with it being so diverse.
There is a test that’s a lot more accurate but you have to send samples to America! 🙄 general consensus is that it will be somewhere between 18% and 22% protein.
