Sorry for the AI speech but I have a vocal cords problem.
I got a package from China, a carbon, Seatpost and I’m going to open it in this video, so I can share it with you.
Want to change my old aluminum seatpost, which was the original seatpost from my bike, in order to reduce weight and better confort while riding.
I’ll show you how they’re packed, what conditions they’re in, we’ll weigh them and finally see how they got on the bike.
In addition, I am not a professionally trained bike mechanic. There can be risks associated with using products that are unbranded, untested, or come from sources where the provenance is unknown. Please talk to a qualified bike mechanic if you are in any doubt. In essence, be careful, do your research, and cycle safe!!!
I'm thinking about buying one of these carbon seatpost also, may just order one soon!
Just a short update on this one, one broke after 1500km on me. I thought OK, I've probably got the faulty unit, so I ordered the same again because I like how it looks and feels, and this one cracked after 300kom. I use carbon paste and I didn't overtighten it.... Sooooo, think twice. To be fair, I weight 93 kg, but again...

Is CHINESE CARBON SEATPOST still alive?
Don't risk it. Buy a proper brand.
Do not join carbon to aluminium are dissimilar metals. The long term effect is not good. The fake Chinese carbon is mainly fibreglass sprayed black and cheap cost cutting resin used. Stick to aluminium butted bikes for own safety and safety of others. Stay well away from aliexpress carbon for safety reasons can fail very easily even the big name real carbon brands. The lighter the metal more easily can be damaged and cracked etc. All companies are cost cutting for profit so not care much at all about safety. So look after your own safety riding stick to aluminium butted bike for safety reasons
