This is a great deep dive into another guided sharpening system. There seems to be a proliferation of systems making it to market these days. Some have been around for a while but prices have been getting lower & they are not all equal.
Your videos are fantastic! You said you’d show how to get to a 11 degree or lower angle on this, but I can’t find the video. Please point me to it! 18:10
@@primarqo Sorry friend, but by skipping through my videos you’re wasting the few minutes that you are actually spending watching it at all. Your answer is there already. Thanks for watching.
I just bought the sharpener, it arrived yesterday. I got about as far as locking down the clamp onto the blade…where it stopped. The threading on the other side doesn't fit, rendering the entire thing useless. It's a shame because I was impressed when I first took it out of the box.
@@CuttingBoardRx well firstly, I realized that Im dealing with a Gen 2, and not 3 that all these videos are about. I only noticed that when I went ooked closely to see how the others were set up. Regardless, in this case, what you're suggesting isnt possible. The hole in the bottom clamp is smaller so that when the screw is tightened, it won't just go straight through it;l, and even if it didn't, there isn't enough room to get the screw even close to the hole from the other side, it just gets wedged. As I see it my options are: return it or exchange it, or make a request for a new part that's likely to be fruitless; or just F-it, use a cutting wheel to put a straight groove on the head and use a Flathead screwdriver to tighten it. I'm sure there's an infinite amount of other options between those two things, and I'm game to hear them.
Let me know about your experience with this device!
This being a Thanksgiving Week, the Olight iMini 2 is on sale for $9.99 amzn.to/3ZiN6BX
Mine worked well out of the box, so they must have addressed the dowle pin issues. Really appreciate you videos, very informative.
Had to buy that flashlight from your link immediately! Sucks the orange one costs $6 more lol. But thanks man! 🙏

@@CuttingBoardRx Can you pretty please do it, or at least explain how? its the only thing keeping me from buying this system!
Hello, may I ask? How did you arrive at the 15-degree angle when your inclinometer showed 5 degrees?

Thanks for subscribing!
You zero the angle on the jaws first. Then set your final angle on the rod.

Thread the screw from the opposite side to chase the threads and then try from the top again.

@ Gen 2 isn’t something I am familiar with. What you do with the unit is your decision.
Hi CB, definitely not how you want a new sharpener out of the box.
