Yeah? So what. They've been fixing a big chunk of bugs over the year. More than ever before. They've upgraded the game to DirectX11. They removed the lag that's been in the game for years.
@@AdamManeYT EA shill. There are still basegame bugs that haven't been fixed. Heck, Dine Out and Wedding Stories are both still unplayable. They put out broken packs and fix them juuuuuuust enough but not all the way and then stop.
straight man here. on this channel because you do not have an abrasive or annoying voice, you don't spend the first 20 minutes of your videos rambling about totally irrelevant topics as most simtubers do, you have good reasoning for your views and you explain them in a way that makes sense, you are not afraid to laugh at yourself, you are not a corporate shill, you legit make me bust out laughing in every video, and your videos don't come off as clickbait. best youtuber in the genre, imho
I also really like this channel I grew up playing Sims with with Sims 1. I really just agree with this gentleman's view on these games. Its honest and refreshing and I'll always give him my likes and views.❤ Even if I do like women 😂😂
How many are pirated? I started playing only a year ago and I pirated it cause that's what all the fans I talked to ab it told me. And yes I do have an online account on the game and EA app using a burner email.
Satch, you're such a liar, How dare you say we don't love your Sims 1, 2 & 3 videos?! I personally look forward to them! I wish you did more! It has such character and your experience is so unique.
@@UnicornKitty1 i am still waiting for the continuations of the adventures of Fanny Mae Lee Jones and Flanjelica Foofy and her trope of unhinged frenemies I miss the sims 2 and 3 videos so much
He is. He's saying it requires all these mods and patches to work the sims 3 but as a sims3 player i can confirm that's false. You dont need a patch for it to be playable for most computers but for newer pcs you do but it's just 1 that's it.
@@M.S.Y.C yup! i re-installed the sims 3 recently on my new laptop and just had to get the alder lake patch bc my cpu is too advanced for the game. installed it and everything works perfectly fine and smooth
6:08 hello! Straight male viewer here 😂 you're one of the only sims youtubers who talks like a grown up and doesn't shy away from sharing their honest opinions & I respect that. You're basically the only sims UA-camr I watch for that reason
If EA used their brains they'd re release the Sims 2 updated with improved graphics same kind of gameplay and quirks. I'm sure people would be on board. EA are just dangling a carrot in front of our noses with Sims 4 DLCs and we're stupid enough to keep purchasing them.
I've been playing Sims 2 for a year now (on and off, as I usually play The Sims) and I won't download Sims 4 ever again !! I'm an "old" player, my childhood is The Sims and Sims 2 so it feels so nostalgic! Plus, THE LORE!!!! So yeah, Sims 2 2.0 would be a dream!
Or they can just add the great things and details of the Sims 2 to the Sims 4 since they plan on letting the Sims 4 stay for more years or probably a decade lol
@@whiskeyTX Sims 3 is something else!! It was completely unplayable on my computer when I was a kid so I never really picked up but now that I've tried it, it IS SO GOOD!!
Crazy thing they actually ported the windows version of Sims 2 to iOS. Though it seems it was removed. You can still see it if you google search it though. Wish they’d port it to consoles.
I downloaded the Sims 4 for the first time recently, but seeing how everyone is hating on it (and starting to see why), I'm now just playing the game to hold off until Paralives releases (bc also by then I'll hopefully have my first job and very own bank account)
i used to play it alot but after the Growing Together pack gave me a glitch that made the game basically unplayable for me i stopped playing it, knowing all the glitches and terrible stuff going on about it rn i'm glad i did that
@@SSugar_Cookioh poor summer child. You could try the sims 3. I know it’ll look like a big downgrade visually but trust me. This is where the good of the sims franchise ends. Everything after 2014 is trash.
Unfortunately, that is precisely why I'm worried. If the Sims doesn't step up it's game then what could have been great will die a rather painful and pointless death.
I have deleted Sims 4 and all its packs, and gone back to the Sims 3. I’m discovering new gameplays that I haven’t known existed in the game before. Sims 3 is far more superior than the Sims 4 in terms of gameplay. I wish they could just remake Sims 3 and Sims 2 with Sims 4 buy/build and aesthetic, then we would have a near perfect sims game.
That should have been Sims 4, or even more far fetched, the Sims 5 a combo of them all in their best areas. But no, EA is just another money hungry corp. Which I don't understand. If they actually listened to the player base and how receptive they were to older games, they'd make billions of more money because just from the general hype and excitement from their players is more than enough of spending millions on advertising
@@envy2069 They don't really need to. They stuck sims 4 players in a vicious circle of always hoping the next expansion pack will "fix" their gameplay experience. I mean I literaly saw a video of someone saying they can't run the game since the last update but they will still buy the next one. Like buying expansions... for a game that doesn't ever run on your computer anymore. They take advantage of the "I invested too much" bias, where your brain thinks since you invested time, money and/or effort in something, you can't drop it. And people have spent hundreds on the sims 4.
Same, since the fiasco with horse ranch and get to rent (or however it's called, I didn't even buy it after reviews) I also gone back to Sims 3 and I LOVE IT ❤ Unfortunatly literally two days ago I've had a pop up about a bug nr 12 and I couldn't save and/or leave my game... When I finally managed to do it I tried to fix my save, but I failed and I lost my legacy gameplay save - I was playing with my 5th generation of the first family 💔💔
@@martelraykin not just hundreds, I believe if you buy all the Sims 4 dlc plus kits, the game itself cost you more than a thousand dollar! What kind of game cost you that much and yet is broken with literally no gameplay?
in an ideal world they would release a sims 3 remaster and make it 64 bit so that it can actually run with decent performance (they were making a 64 bit version before for modern Mac chips, but i haven't looked into that in a while), but that would probably cost them too much money when they can just sell the same game over and over again
I'm sure there are others but all simtubers I've seen are very "kid friendly", very nice calm and kinda seem to be afraid of being brutally honest which is what I think is great about Satch, there's no beating around the bush with him
As a straight female Satch just cracks me up, and I love all the lil puns and laugh. Also I couldn’t agree more with everything he says about the cash grabby game we love to hate. I don’t play anymore or I haven’t for months, I just enjoy the sims 4 content! Especially the creativity
the more time passes the more sims4 looks and feels like mobile games. a soulless "game" that feels more like a shop than a game. a game that sucks all the money out of your wallet and everything good is sold separately.
Sims 3 is still my favorite. I miss so much about it but especially the world adventures pack. It had way more gameplay and the three vacation worlds were so detailed. And you could buy a vacation home in the worlds.
I miss Sims 3 so much. If they just updated graphics and better optimized the playing experience to decrease lag, but kept literally everything else the same I would buy it 100%. I miss the way sims 3 managed pets. Sims 4 pets is basically unplayable bcuz they only run away and make the sims sad for days. The future world was so freaking cool. Making your imaginary friend come to life and be a house member...the genie being freed...the car that you got into and it filled your needs...
I can't keep up with this game. With every update my mods break and mods MAKE the game for me. It's so annoying, I can't imagine how it is for modders.
They need to give us back the ability to tick off certain packs like sims 3 did. Half the time I'd like to have different saves for different packs. It would also help loading times.
Ah, but then everyone would realize how many bugs they’ve introduced that buying a pack “fixes” instead of just the players that aren’t giving them as much money. Then they might actually have to fix them.
What Sims 3 has is humorous conversations that could still surprise you after playing it for years. The Sims themselves could lead you into a storyline by becoming obsessed with another sim and trying hilariously to always impress them. This is what Sims 4 lacks. I play both in phases.
I deleted he sims 4 because it's fun at the start when you build and create sims and build and create sims...but that's the problem the gameplay isn't fun enough to keep me playing so I will never play the sims again
Yes, I find that I watch the LP’s on You Tube, which gives me outstanding ideas. Once I run with that particular game play, I’m finished with that Sim.
I find the game’s UI so clunky and full, with little depth or entertainment. My advice: plays sims 2 or 3. Get excited for Paralives. Support other life sims that will come out.
6:09 As a straight hhhhhhhwhite male, I take offense to that sir 😆 Your channel is the only one I’ve found that reports on the Sims without smooth brain takes or trying to suckle at the teat of EA.
0:25 The Sims 4 was born as a miscarriage-it came out as a cripple, and is still on life support 20 years later, aka the moding community is keeping it alive-stitched together like Frankenstein!!!
I had literally one pack for Sims 3 and it was just endless fun gameplay. Not to mention the color wheel and create a style. The lore in the Sims 2 was unmatched. I wish they could make a game that’s a mix of the best parts from sims 2 and 3.
Lifetime simmer here! I love the Sims series and am greatly disappointed in the sims 4. Sims 2 is HARD!!! Sims 3 has SO much gameplay and sims 4 is very surface level even with a million packs, expansions, kits and stuff packs …
Sims 2 and 3 are so much better than 4. I kind of wish I could go back to the first one. That's where I started and it was so fun! Sims 4 pisses me off to no end, which is why I watch u play, and I don't play it myself lol
I always start a new save in TS4 after a while away, and end up turning it off within an hour or two (I don’t own all the packs, but I have quite a few). The gameplay is boring. I still play TS3 and can get lost in it for hours and be entertained.
I’m too spoiled by the generations system in the newer games to go back to 1. I love having more than three life stages. I liked the game though. Also the 3D aspects.
Sims 4 is alive in the sense that sea anemone is alive - yes, it's a living arganism but you are getting bored of it after watching it for five minutes at the aquarium and go see other, more interesting animals
The sims 4 is on life support funded by the community. It’s essentially the Weekend at Bernie’s of cozy games. The older games had so much depth and personality compared to TS4.
The game is very much alive and dead at the same time, kinda like how you could have a day at work but feel that you didn't achieve anything, that's The Sims 4 and it sucks that EA don't want this franchise to evolve and take it further.
It's funny that you keep saying Sims 3 is dead when it very much is not. It stopped being updated but is not even remotely dead. I play it. I gave up Sims 4 for it because it's infinitely better. It even runs really good on my laptop. I'm also not the only one who DOES play it. Plenty of SIms 4 players (the ones who DID know SIms games prior to SIms 4) have gone back to SIms 3 because SIms 4 sucks so bad. Honestly, I maintain that the only thing that Sims 3 doesn't have is the ability to make a basement while also using foundation. You can't do that in SIms 3 while you can in Sims 4 but it's really just not worth it. I'll take my open world with various different types of vehicles, and the color wheel, and all the textures, and the ability to add 4 different colors to my hair if I want. I'll take Horses, Cats, and Dogs that are actually playable and all came in the same Expansion Pack along with minor animals, like birds, lizards, snakes, turtles and rodents (like chipmunks, squirrels, chinchillas, hedgehogs etc.) That's not even including the different insects, snails, or the fact that you can fish for a freaking CROCODILE! SIMS 4 COULD NEVER!!!! But yes, I want Sims 5.
I have been too since Sims 1. But that's bc there weren't really any other options. I think that's going to change in the relatively near future and, when it does, I may finally jump ship. Honestly, games like Paralives would have to drop the ball SO HARD to keep me playing the Sims very far into the future. As long as Paralives supports mods, I think they're going to take the life sim crown.
Sims 4 I dead to me, and I think for a lot of players that grew up with The Sims 1. Sims 2 was perfect. Sims 3 had open world and even with the base game I had so much fun. I feel sad for people that can never experience that depth again. Even after 10 years, Sims 4 is empty.
They're not just beating a dead horse; they buried it, dug it back up to hang it, hit it like a piñata, set it afire, buried it again, dug up the bones then pulverized them to scatter them somewhere...
I love your critique here. The Sims 4 is alive because it’s the latest iteration of the game. And it is “good”. Sure, it’s not perfect. But the truth is - we desperately need a Sims 5 and confirmation of the future for it. I love what you said about Sims 3, I relate to that so much. I always want to play but I also have to “set it up” with mods and cc before I play idk why lol. I really enjoy playing 4, but I am a bit sad EA does not see the benefit in moving forward as we always have. I think the modern world has ruined a lot of the best bits of gaming (example: in game purchases, events, I’m sorry but I will never forgive Fortnite lol). The gaming industry as a whole is disappointing. Releasing games that are not complete. My husband will pay extra for a “deluxe” version of the games he plays and it’s just quite ridiculous. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this! Quite fair and honest.
I've given up on EA and The Sims after they announced there was no sims 5. I still play sims 2 and 3, but i stopped supporting the sims 4 around 2018. I thought giving it some time and some patches would make it better, but after 4 years i figured the sims 5 would be around the corner and i could check back in then. 🤡 To me the sims 4 is a fancy Diorama maker. You can create beautiful houses and beautiful sims and then you have so very little to do with them. Honestly i feel bad that there's a bit of an entry barrier into the older sims games because i feel like the newer generations are supporting the sims 4 because they never knew any better.
It just sucks that EA wont update older packs, like if they did that they get many more people buying older packs. Especially there is many reveiws and newer players/ current players wont buy older packs becuase of the review telling it trash which would agree with most of them. Like i wouldn't mind if they went back and updated island living giving mermaids magic tree thingy like the other occults have, or even get to work aliens. I feel like thoses 2 occults suffer the most and people wont buy them unless they pc users to gt mods make them useful
i used to run the sims 3 and it was great. i like the aesthetic, the functions, the gameplay. but sims 4 still seems the "trendy" annoying shallower cousin who's just attention-seeking at every family gathering. ugh.
I have long since given up on the sims 4. I just use it as a glorified dress-up game/oc maker at this point. I just upgraded my pc and am waiting patiently for inzoi so I can finally abandon it forever. Ts4 won’t die bc there are plenty who are willing to waste money on empty packs and mobile game-like cash grabs, but for those of us who care about a decent life sim game for modern hardware we’re moving on.
I've tried Sims 4 so many times.. I thought it was lack of expacs for me, so I bought them all. I thought it was lack of objects/clothing, so I downloaded CC in upwards of 150GB. Safe to say, it was neither of those things. The game is just very, very shallow. My go to is Sims 2, and I can play that for hours. If anything, Sims 2 maybe requires just recolors as the objects in the game are abundant and very appealing. I'm looking forward to Inzoi, but other than that.. The Sims 2 has always been and will always be the way I play The Sims.
@@eviltweakerz Already tried, but it always crashed after a minute or two. I searched for fixes on reddit and youtube but I couldnt get it to work, which is why I gave up.
You know what makes me hate EA the most? The cost of DLC. How does one expansion pack has about the same price as the BG3? How is that possible? I cant get my head around it. Ive started playing BG3 yesterday and omg its so good, works so well and is full of gameplay. I feel like only people who play the sims 4 exclusively dont see the absurdity of that, its a shame really to have your expectations so low.
The main selling point is also it's most limiting feature: emotions. Every gameplay mechanic boils down to a moodlet and a couple basic emotions. That's just not impactful and rewarding enough.
I still have all of my hard copy disks for Sims 3. I wonder if I could load them up and play. I think the thing I missed most when 4 came out was the ability to customize everything decor wise.
Ngl, I'm a straight man, married with a family, and I love your sims videos Satch lol. I think we agree on a lot of things, and your videos are well made. I loved the Sims growing up, and have been hoping they'd continue to upgrade the experience, but I thought the Sims 4 was boring and missing key features when it released, and I never went back. I'm pretty hyped for InZoi if im being honest.
Purchased the sims 4 when it first came out in 2014 & barely played it.. ALLL the other sims games took up my life. Sims 4, they did everything wrong for me.
After I broke up with my ex, I had to start over. I was WAITING and HOPING for a sims 5 considering how much money I put and lost in 4. Basically sums 4 is keeping simmers but not welcoming new and old people. Who wants just the base and spend $200 to enjoy it. They’re Only keeping the sim4 people who are used to sim4 and expectations are low and loyalty high. Breaks my heart cause I been there since sims 1 and they dgaf about their fan base
1:34 as someone who plays sims3 instead of sims4 The thing of you saying sims3 needing a lot of patches for it to work is quite false. You dont need patches to play the game on certain computers but for newer high-end pcs, you'll only need 1 patch but thats it. For less lag a high end is obviously recommended as this is a game that simulates a whole city.
I get that Sims 4 is your livelihood, but Sims 3 is still playable. Plus you don't need the EA app if you know where to go - same with Sims 2. It's now and forever so much better than 4.
You know those really good reboots that have been coming out? Duck Tales immediately comes to mind. It kept the spirit of the show while giving us more modern graphics, themes, and storylines. Sims needs to be like Duck Tales. The novelty and innovation of Sims 1. The chaos of Sims 2. The open world and customization of Sims 3. The occasional packs from early game Sims 4. The inside jokes and nostalgia of all 4 games. This would be the perfect Sims game! Simmers, both OG and new, need to be in the front seat of designing the Sims reboot.
They can do whatever they want with the Sims franchise at this point, I don't care anymore. I literally have been playing the Sims 4 since it first came out in 2014 till present and I'm just waiting on Inzoi and Paralives. I started getting into the Sims at the end of Sims 3. EA and to some extent the Sims team have shown time and time again that they don't care and will do as they please. They can't see what is gonna lead to their downfall and honestly there's only so much you can do before you give up yourself. Inzoi and Paralives are my savor. I was crushed immensely when they announced no Sims 5, i hope they reconsider otherwise...its their funeral.
I thought I was excited for watching life and death content. It's been a long time since I played myself but for years and years I still watched youtubers play the game. Since cottage living I can't watch more than 1 or 2 episodes of a new let's play before I get bored. Even though for some packs the concept sounds good, I simply can't do it anymore. The foundation of the game is rotten to the core and it won't get better. New simulation games like Planet Coaster 2 and Cities Skylines 2 get SO much backlash for every little bug or imperfect feature. I wish the Sims playerbase wouldn't be so gullible.
This is the most on point video about Sims 4 and how the "older" community really feels, that have ever seen. EA should smoke a doob and watch this and get in touch with their inner Sims 2 gamer child.
The only reason The Sims 4 is going well, is because it doesn't have a single competitor. If InZOI on Steam launches and people hear more about this game. The Sims 4 will die, because it is a very bad game.
totally agree i could spend hours on sims 2 and never got board, I would get excited to get home to play it. sims 4 soon as I launch it I'm fed up. we need a remastered sims 2 with sims 3 open world.
Honestly the sims 2 has always had the best gameplay imo, but so many aspects of real life have changed since then I don't know if younger people could really appreciate it, which would make it perfect for a re-release with slight updates to things like phones and computers.
I play TS3 almost exclusively. I don’t really bother going back to TS4 cuz whenever I go back. I have to update it and all my mods break and I have to update all of them too. Then I’m TS4 just isn’t worth it lol.
I fully believe the sims 3 is better than the sims 4. I get stuck in infinite emotion triggers, or my sim freezes for days at a time. No mods, with bug fixing mods, the game just feels bad, was Hyped for Life & Death but got bored of it within an hour.
I've been trying a legacy challenge and the Sim parents spend literally half their day picking up a toddler and putting them back down, over and over again, instead of just putting them in the high chair and feeding them. Then they'll randomly cancel the command and try to put the kid in bed, or just put the kid down and go outside to talk to a plant while another sim stops what they're doing and walks across the house to start picking up the kid and putting them down over and over again instead of feeding them. I'll start trying to feed the kid first thing in the morning when they wake up, and by the time I finally get the Sim parents to feed the kid, the kid is exhausted again, the whole day is gone, and nothing else has been done. It's ludicrous. Add to that other bugs like the one where, YEARS after first encountering the bug, I still can't put the "Great Soil" trait on any lot unless I want all the plants to revert to dirt piles every morning at 7am, and I'm more than ready to move on to Paralives or something else where the devs actually give a F.
I don’t think this “platform” idea of their’s is going to last. The game’s already 10 years old now, and you can only keep adding more and more new stuff on an old foundation before the entire thing gives way. “We don’t want people to start over, they’ve sank tons of money into the game already!” Yeah? Well that’s what happens when monetization is prioritized over all plans for the future. If they want to keep The Sims franchise going after this, there WILL be a Sims 5, just not now, and not any time soon.
I appreciate your honesty Satch, don't know if you will ever read this though. Honestly, I miss sims 2 and 3, there were stories, you could go straight into the worlds on start up, and not HAVE to create a sim, there were more things to do, things to discover, and it kept me amused for hours and you weren't trapped following one sim around when they go out, because of the open worlds, I like the build mode on sims 4, but that's about it, I get bored pretty quickly in gameplay, although the life and death pack has kept me amused for a little bit longer, I am actually not that big of a fan of the style of graphics in sims 4, I much prefer the paralives graphic style, its like a mix of the previous sims games and sims 4, sims 3 build and graphics were not the best, but the gameplay was. I wish EA/Maxis would start making good games again, that are not cash grabby. I miss spore too.
Sims 4 right now is kinda like Persona 5 of Atlus' games. Almost a decade in and one remake in, still milking the phantom thieves like nobody's business...
All I've ever wanted was that ability to shape and mold my very own towns just like in Sims 2/3. Sims 4 will clearly never bring that ability back and with no promising future of a Sims 5 I guess that dream won't be coming true. Sure I could use mods but that is a placebo affect that could be erased with a new patch.
We'll know how well the Sims 4 and the Sims franchise will do once INZOI and Paralives comes out. I'm really glad that EA has some competition in the life simulation genre and also think once the competition is out they have to reconsider how to progress in the future because the Sims 4 breaks more and more with every DLC and every Update. For what I think will happen I guess the Sims 4 will continue to go down until it's so damaged it can't even be played at all. And when that moment comes it's going to be to late for the franchise to be saved. Because the trust will eventually be gone and the game will definitely be dead.
I'm fed up by EA's greed and have lost faith in them at this point. I much prefer Sims 3 over Sims 4 as the gameplay is so much better. I'd rather play inZoi thanlSims 5 to be honest as it looks fantastic.
I actually subscribed because I came across your sims 3 series. I miss the depth of gameplay- I’ve always thought it’s better than sims 4 in terms of game play
I only play Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, I wish they were still making updates and expansion packs to that game. If they ever do a remaster game, they should make it an open world and the rest can stay the same and it would be a perfect game
I LOVE sims 4 because the way the sims interact with each other. It feels more real. Like they really engage with each other and have relationships, feelings and reactions to other sims around them. Other sims games felt as if they completely ignored other sims unless they dropped everything else and engaged in a conversation.
EA is going in the wrong direction with sims4, everything is way to much goofy(way way to much) and messy, ended in a shallow game that lacks progression in many areas I guess.
If you think about it they missed in a ton of opportunities and money by not having spinoff title. My theory is that there was no way for them to do those spinoff titles with what the sims 4 is. Could you imagine them trying to do a Castaway spinoff with the sims 4 locked neighborhoods? You'd have loading screens every other minute! Busing Out would be the same! The fact that instead of accepting their mistakes and moving on, that they've dug in their heals and refuse to do so is mind boggling.
They lost Sim City to Cities Skylines, Sims 4 is on a similar track. Can’t wait to have the functional new age life simulator that hits all the checkboxes without exploiting people or requiring the most high end computers to play. As a Sims veteran of nigh 25 years, it’s sad, but it’s insanity to have “loyalty” to someone who just abuses and exploits out the friggin butt
haha, not me with my deluxe edition xbox disc, boxed and unused now. Crazy how times have changed in 10 years but not the sims being able to use a chair autonomously outside and not their beds...
The point about the older sims games being so hard to play is so real. I got the sims 3 years ago now but when I updated my prosessor it became unplayable (wouldn't even open) and any fixes I try to download would result in worlds I PAYED for being completely gone so now I've given up and haven't touch it in months, a real shame it was my fav :((
Delaying The Sims 5 _could_ be a good thing in the long run. As you’ve said, all of these new life simulation games are on the horizon that could potentially set a new standard. Ideally, competition is supposed to breed innovation, so these new games coming out could force EA to step it up with the Sims. However, this is EA we’re talking about. My prediction is they’ll learn nothing, we’ll get The Sims 5 several years from now, it’ll be awful, buggy, overly monetized, and dead on launch, and The Sims name will die for real. They have to do something eventually. These new players don’t represent actual growth. They represent young people who have just gotten access to a computer. As soon as something trendier is available (it doesn’t even need to be good tbh) those numbers are going to slide. We’ll see what happens, but I’m pessimistic either way.
I really feel they need to go back to the basics and do a massive free base game update and bring in features that worked on the previous sims for their base game if they're not looking to do sims 5. They need to really think about the crossover of the packs going forward because pop ups are destroying the immersion. I spend all my time in CAS or build mode and rarely play as it's just tedious now.
sims 3 lovers were hoping for sims 4 to be more like an upgrade to the bugs and lag we were dealing with and then sims 4 was a major disappointment for many. i quit a sims 4 extreamly fast and only used building mode because gameplay was so bland. so sims 5 was always a dream but oh well here we are and i will be moving to inzoi
Hello straight man here, I always mod my sims game and the account I used is also shared within my family, it used to be my aunt was the primary holder and now is my cousin but I just log in and download and if a new pack comes out I’m just like “let’s see if/when she buys it” I like making my games very random and chaotic and so when I do play it doesn’t get too dry for me. My next plan after I get my new pc is to make an ugly male character, and just impregnate all the females in the whole game, I feel that could be interesting to see. But yea without mods this game would not be as lively as it is
I'm glad we are getting new life sim games because the sims has been around for too long and sims 4 is a shit stain on its name along with how much they're milking it for money.

15mi new players, but how many old ones they did lose?
I mean does it matter if they’re constantly getting an influx of new players? ( asking from a business standpoint)
@@Raphaeltheslayerin terms of business they are doing great. In terms of respecting long term fans, not so much.
And how many of those 15mill actually stayed? How many spent money buying scammy packs?
How many are pirated? I started playing only a year ago and I pirated it cause that's what all the fans I talked to ab it told me. And yes I do have an online account on the game and EA app using a burner email.
They only have 15 mil new players because the base game is free now.

You're like the rarest animal in a zoo
Yeah he does, he give us genuine opinions no sugar coated and the true without lies!❤
Or they can just add the great things and details of the Sims 2 to the Sims 4 since they plan on letting the Sims 4 stay for more years or probably a decade lol
they never will simply because it would completely kill off 4 and thus their money funnel would cease, it sucks because that is my favorite besides 3
I’m not worried about the Sims. We’re about to have other great options.
I downloaded the Sims 4 for the first time recently, but seeing how everyone is hating on it (and starting to see why), I'm now just playing the game to hold off until Paralives releases (bc also by then I'll hopefully have my first job and very own bank account)
HEAVY ON THIS COMMENT. I was smart enough not to sink so much money into it and clocked out 7 years ago.
i used to play it alot but after the Growing Together pack gave me a glitch that made the game basically unplayable for me i stopped playing it, knowing all the glitches and terrible stuff going on about it rn i'm glad i did that
@@SSugar_Cookioh poor summer child.
As I said it before and will say it again, Sims 5 should have came out back in 2019 and we should be talking about Sims 6 right now.
Sims 5 definitely should be out ten years of one sim game is INSANE InzoI is going to absolutely smoke them.
6:08 As a straight man, I like the type of content you put out and you're really brutally honest about Sims content, as we should.

That's why skydrow exist, why giving money to a company who don t care about their playerbase
I can spend HOURS on glitchy, slow, crashy sims 3 but with the sims 4 I can’t spend more than a couple minutes 😔
I can't keep up with this game. With every update my mods break and mods MAKE the game for me. It's so annoying, I can't imagine how it is for modders.
Exactly !!!
Play offline like I do, you don't have to worry about new things breaking OR update the mods all the time
@@SuperCoolSunglasses I just finally started doing that recently. Honestly, it's so much less frustrating.
They need to give us back the ability to tick off certain packs like sims 3 did. Half the time I'd like to have different saves for different packs. It would also help loading times.
This!!
But then, if they did that we would figure out that when we took certain packs off, there was no difference in gameplay
Ah, but then everyone would realize how many bugs they’ve introduced that buying a pack “fixes” instead of just the players that aren’t giving them as much money. Then they might actually have to fix them.
@@bookcat123 we already know that tho lol
What Sims 3 has is humorous conversations that could still surprise you after playing it for years. The Sims themselves could lead you into a storyline by becoming obsessed with another sim and trying hilariously to always impress them. This is what Sims 4 lacks. I play both in phases.
I deleted he sims 4 because it's fun at the start when you build and create sims and build and create sims...but that's the problem the gameplay isn't fun enough to keep me playing so I will never play the sims again

Sims 3 i Had Seasons, Pets, Ambitions, and Generations. Thats 4 packs and you know what?? I had everything i needed. That speaks volumes.
Same, I got pets and seasons after a long time and the game was so fun. I wanted world adventures so bad but my parents never got it for me 😭
0:25 The Sims 4 was born as a miscarriage-it came out as a cripple, and is still on life support 20 years later, aka the moding community is keeping it alive-stitched together like Frankenstein!!!
Can confirm that all Modder are essentially Dr.frankenstien 😂
If it wasn't for mods, I wouldn't play at all. The vanilla game is shallow, boring, and repetitive af.
You think Sims 2 is hard? Try Sims 1 sometime. It is insanely difficult compared to even the Sims 2.
Agreed. I’ve been a sims player for life. I’ve played almost every port imaginable for 3, and I have 2 and My Sims on the ds. I’ll forever love it
I just wanted TS2 memory system back. It made sense. Bring it back!!!

Sims 2 and 3 are so much better than 4. I kind of wish I could go back to the first one. That's where I started and it was so fun! Sims 4 pisses me off to no end, which is why I watch u play, and I don't play it myself lol
@@marcialaboo3996 it’s kinda more fun to watch Satch trash the Sims 4 than it actually is to play.
They should bring back the Bulgar
lol I'm a straight man and I'm at your channel, you're really fun and your reviews are the best ones. ahauhahauha
Sims 4 is alive in the sense that sea anemone is alive - yes, it's a living arganism but you are getting bored of it after watching it for five minutes at the aquarium and go see other, more interesting animals
also as you've said just bc Sims 4 is downloaded by millions of people it doesn't mean they play it
The sims 4 is on life support funded by the community.
I literally LOVE watching your old sims 1/2/3 gameplay!!! I wish more people got how great it is
It's funny that you keep saying Sims 3 is dead when it very much is not.
Personnaly i just want a remaster of Sims1 & 2 ...
I don't know why i stick to the sims. i guess im attached to it ;-;
I have been too since Sims 1.
6:07 Straight man here, I don't know what I'm doing here, but I'll keep quiet so that I blend in with the crowd.
EA should just release a big graphics/patch update for the sims 3 so it's pretty and easy to play.
Last time I played it was very laggy and unplayable, can't wait for other life sims.
I am a straight man longing for the days of The Sims 1 & 2. Here because I appreciate your no nonsense appraisal of the The Sims.
i used to run the sims 3 and it was great. i like the aesthetic, the functions, the gameplay.
but sims 4 still seems the "trendy" annoying shallower cousin who's just attention-seeking at every family gathering.
Oh my goodness! I did the exact same thing because I was thinking the exact same way.
god i miss the sims 2 so much and ea wont even milk that shit cause its not avaible in the ea store
At least it got away from an abusive relationship xD
U can get it on a emulator website for free
I always felt there was something lackluster about TS4 compared to the previous games. Still holds true.
100% playable, even on the steam deck, it runs smoothly, and i dont even have a crash for 100 hours now
You know those really good reboots that have been coming out?
I was crushed immensely when they announced no Sims 5, i hope they reconsider otherwise...its their funeral.
oh wow i’m early… just getting back into the sims and it’s disappointing seeing all the opportunity that’s missing from the game 😢
The convenience of Boosteroid is unmatched
I thought I was excited for watching life and death content. It's been a long time since I played myself but for years and years I still watched youtubers play the game. Since cottage living I can't watch more than 1 or 2 episodes of a new let's play before I get bored. Even though for some packs the concept sounds good, I simply can't do it anymore. The foundation of the game is rotten to the core and it won't get better.
New simulation games like Planet Coaster 2 and Cities Skylines 2 get SO much backlash for every little bug or imperfect feature. I wish the Sims playerbase wouldn't be so gullible.
We need a Sims 3 remastered edition
Even with a Sims 1 remastered edition I would be veeeeery happy!
The Sims 4 will die, because it is a very bad game.
i am hart broken. been playing sims sin the OG the sim 1. we need sims 5, NOW..... i lost my love for sims

6:12 Straight man here, I honestly think you're the best content creator on the Sims. I love your humor and personality
100% my dream that they remake our the sims 2 and 3, even 1 was so much fun 😩
Not one of those who calls the Sims 4 a good game can have played Red Dead Redemption 2 and that's a fact. An actual award winning game
I've already stopped buying expansion packs and I'm just waiting for Inzoi and Paralives at this point!
5:50 as a straight man, i cant resonate with that...
I miss the depth of gameplay- I’ve always thought it’s better than sims 4 in terms of game play
i’ll never get over how dirty they did cas
I only play Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, I wish they were still making updates and expansion packs to that game. If they ever do a remaster game, they should make it an open world and the rest can stay the same and it would be a perfect game
i just want open words back so much😭😭
I LOVE sims 4 because the way the sims interact with each other.
The reason it got 15 million new players was because the base game is now free.
haha, not me with my deluxe edition xbox disc, boxed and unused now. Crazy how times have changed in 10 years but not the sims being able to use a chair autonomously outside and not their beds...
Today I finally deleted all my Sims 4 content from my laptop. My laptop never felt lighter after uninstalling +100gb files. That felt GOOD
The point about the older sims games being so hard to play is so real.
But yea without mods this game would not be as lively as it is
Sims 4 is still alive but in agony…
I'm glad we are getting new life sim games because the sims has been around for too long and sims 4 is a shit stain on its name along with how much they're milking it for money.
