I Remember The Amiga. I threw mine in the bin. It was worth money! Money means nothing to me. My Alanna means Everything. My Woman. We Going To Get Married in 2020. I've Waited 30 Years To Find Another Claire.
Fuel gauge, check the earth connections first as with the fibreglass body the tank and sender etc have to go back to the chassis for their earth. Mine had a simular problem which was an earth point issue. Just remove clean up with scotch brite or wire wool refix and cover with a bit of vassaline to seal.
If those seals aren't letting any water into the cabin then remove them at your peril......my two previous m100s leaked something chronic and usually ones on the forecourts would have leaked also. No idea though if the S2 had any improvements made in this area. Loved my 2 Elan M100s.....brilliant cars!
Thanks for the advice Elliot. I know that some developments to the hood took place for the S2, which was undertaken by Tickford I believe. But I’m not sure if there was any on these front seals. :-(
Eternal pessimists! Yet, they have no experience of their own to talk of except bad mouth every product. Put out a 25 years old Toyota and see if it would not have equal niggles! People just talk! Bet you have never owned anything other than a Rover Citycar!
Even the color is just like in Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge on Amiga back in the days

Hi Mike, thanks so much for the tips. I'll take a look at it and include your advice in a future video.

Owned a M100 since 1998. Have two now. Great touring cars. I've had most of the typical problems in 90,000 miles of driving. Enjoy.
Interesting, I'm just looking at an S2 myself to add to my collection, have seen a couple now, they certainly all need some tinkering ;-)
I'm looking to buy am Elan, great video 👌🏻
Thanks Peter ! Good luck with the search You won’t regret it! 👍

Good video, I ve Se I bought only a few months ago, I find the lotus elan central forum great for advise and help.
Thanks Mr 121. Hope you’re enjoying the SE in this hot weather. I’ve been impressed with the Elan’s cooling system so far!
I love car so much, but I don't have access to it 😥😥
Elan forever ~~~~^^♡
Thank you so much~^^♡♡
If uniform caliper colours are the foremost of the concerns with your m100 ownership experience, you're either going to be very lucky, or.......
Thanks...I think? Keep watching, I’m sure things will get ugly.
Would a 6’4” driver fit?
I would say so yes. Certainly with the top down :-)
Maybe just about, but the top of your head will be in the airflow
How did you get on 6 years later? Ha
We will see….
super front heavy
64/36 is not that bad.
Of course you know what LOTUS stands for don't you....Lots of trouble usually serious!
